Is there any way to speed up a library scan after reorganizing media?

I've got about 15tb of media (Just movies/series, no custom media) and yesterday decided to reorganize my TV library a bit by renaming them with Sonarr, just to tidy things up so that everything uses the same naming convention (I had to stop using Auto-Organize after realizing that I had some duplicates, since it was competing with Sonarr for organizing new files).

After renaming (probably around 50% of) my media and running a library scan last night it's gone from 95.1% completed to 95.6% completed in 24 hours. The first 95% only took about 15 seconds.

Is there anything I can change or disable to speed the process up? At this rate it'll be the rest of the week to finish the scan so that I can get my media back into Emby, and it doesn't seem like this should be the case (despite it seeming like a lot of other users have had the same issue).

@pmac If metadata and image with media you can disable providers as Emby will requery everything.  If not then you just have to let it rebuild, but the percentage is not a good factor in what it is doing or how long it will take.  There is another factor also if you have chapter/interval images (bif) enabled.

That is what I do if I start over as all metadata images and interval (bif) are with Media and I maintain my peoples folders.  Usually take less than 24 hours.

I do have metadata and images saved with my media, though I'm not 100% sure if ALL of my media has NFO files with it, since I don't remember enabling that, and I'm not sure how long it's been the default setting (if it even is default).

Where do I disable providers? And I'm assuming this would just be temporary, and then I'd reenable them after this scan, so that it can fetch data for new media files afterward?

Do I just uncheck all of these until this scan is finished? Screenshot_20221107-173901_Emby.thumb.jpg.78941b3c2a6cdf45d2209f044cc6ad67.jpg

Per library settings, but yes you would reenable after scan.  Same for Video Preview Thumbnails.

@Happy2Play thanks very much. After disabling everything my library scanned in 14 minutes! I haven't had a chance to browse my collection yet to make sure all the info/images are there, but from a quick glance on the android app it shows that all my latest episodes are there again, so it seems promising.
