Michelsen 4 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 It's a 3 part TV series from 1983 called "Chiefs." If left to its own choice, Emby keeps identifying it as a 2003 basketball documentary called Chiefs. But I can't correct it by using the ID option and then searching for it, even when I enter all 3 database IDs. The ID search just comes up blank. Am I doing something wrong or why can't it even find the right one? I've since entered everything manually, but still it should find it since it's in all 3 databases under "Chiefs" and 1983, right? pwhodges 2014 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 We need to see the folder and file names to determine what's throwing it off. Alternatively the server log covering an attempt to identify. Paul 1 1
Michelsen 4 Posted October 15, 2022 Author Posted October 15, 2022 Here's the server logs from last night's many attempts for the ID search function to find it. If I search for just "Chiefs" without a date or other info, it will list maybe 10 items, none of which is the TV mini-series I'm looking for. But when I do enter the specific IDs for IMDB, MovieDB and TVDB, that's where I can't understand why it doesn't find it, it just shows a blank search screen. That has never failed to bring up the correct movie or series for me. This is the path to the files, but the path shouldn't matter when you're manually searching, especially since it will list 10 other shows if I don't enter the specific IDs. Solution Luke 42085 Posted October 15, 2022 Solution Posted October 15, 2022 What is the content type of the library in emby library setup?
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 (edited) If that is a TV library try naming like a regular TV series. M:\Movies\Chiefs\Season 01\Chiefs s01e01 (1983).mkv M:\Movies\Chiefs\Season 01\Chiefs s01e02 (1983).mkv M:\Movies\Chiefs\Season 01\Chiefs s01e03 (1983).mkv That has always worked for me for any mini-series I have tried Edited October 15, 2022 by Gilgamesh_48
Michelsen 4 Posted October 15, 2022 Author Posted October 15, 2022 1 hour ago, Luke said: What is the content type of the library in emby library setup? Bingo! That was my dumb mistake, it was in a Movie category for content type. Once I added it to the TV Series content directory, it did find it when searching. Thank you! It was driving me nuts what I was doing wrong why it couldn't find it. 1
