Hi.  Because the plug-in is designed to back up your server configuration - not your media, metadata or entire environment.  That just isn't what it was designed for and there are other global backup solutions that can do that kind of thing.

That is why it is called the "Server Configuration Backup" plug-in in the catalog.

Hi.  I'm not sure exactly what you need but there are a multitude of backup solutions that just backup data from storage in any number of ways.

so its not a plugin? I have a docker image on emby any way to transfer it to windows?

@Waldoo it gets complicated but truly you want a back of your entire system.  

How to Backup Manually the KB goes over this but overall, you need the entire Emby Data Path.

Depending on your setup this can be rather large backup also as I have a people folder that is over 70Gb so if I actually did not save images with media I would say the metadata would be double or triple that.

That is a complication as cross platform backups could require manual database updates and say library config file path update.
