zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Hi everyone, I update my UNRAID server, then after that Emby cannot works, I uninstalled Emby then installed, but now it's a mess. here is a screenshot of movies main page in primary mode then a screenshot of my files organization (for 300 movie) I think it's something wrong on the settings of Emby, but I cannot find'it.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 May be something left over while uninstalling emby ?????
chef 3810 Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Have you run a library scan after you reinstalled it? I'm just wondering if the library.db is not quite populated with your media.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 yes I did, multiple time. Can I delete the Db then run a scan again ?
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 may be an important info ... Like the movie "88 minutes", I have an "extras" folder, files insides are names "extra 01.mkv, extra 02.mkv ...". at the Emby page of "88 minutes" movie, nothing appear about extras.

zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 same, nothing change, still not extras on the page of the movie If I display in EMBY by folder, I see folder "8", then folder "88 minutes" with the movie inside AND THE "extras" folder, but inside the "extras" folder are files from other movies, not "88 minutes" Looks like the Db is completely broken, no ?
chef 3810 Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Maybe. I wouldn't want to tell you to completely remove the db if there is something else happening there. You could perhaps, 1. Remove some of the folders from the library is pointing at. Just leave the folder with 88 minutes. 2. Shut down the server 3. Rename library.db to library.db_old 4. Spin up the server 5. Run a library scan. This way you have the backup of the original library.db, and the library scan won't take as long to process one movie folder. We can then take a look and see if we end up with the same results. If we do, then we would know it wasn't the library.db and you could go back to the old one without issue. Unless there is something else we could try, recommended from another user, or core dev.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 under /mnt/cache/appdata - binhex-emby - cache - config - data - logs - metadata - plugins - root - transcoding-temp - EmbyServer - cache - config - data - logs - metadata - plugins - root - transcoding-temp - emby (empty folder) - mariadb-official (empty folder)
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 I move all movies to a temporary folder, only 88 minutes is in the Movies folder, with the extra folder inside.

So one of these replaced the other. Would need to see a server log or click the three dot menu button next to power button on Emby Dashboard to see server info to know which folders are currently being used.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 here is the log from emby in unraid embyserver log.txt
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 should I uninstall Emby in unraid ... ... then delete all following folders (using Kruzader) binhex-emby EmbyServer emby (empty folder) mariadb-official (empty folder) ... then re-install Emby ?
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 - I uninstalled Emby in unraid ... - deleted all following folders (using Kruzader): binhex-emby, EmbyServer, emby, mariadb-official - Re-installed Emby BUT STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, no Extras folder at the page of the movie, extra showing as movies. I manually scan and update metadata, same problem.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 Just saw another problem... I have a "documentaries" folder ... here is how the movie page show ... shows as version, not as movie, WEIRD !
ebr 16184 Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Just now, zfrenchy said: shows as version, not as movie Hi. That is because your folder and file naming exactly match our convention for multi-versions. Remove the " - " from the file names and that should clear up. As for your extras, exactly how have you setup your libraries and what folders do they point to? Make sure you don't have multiple libraries pointing to the same items.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 weird, the naming files didn't change, it is the same as before I update my UNRAID server. Worked very fine before.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 here is how it is for the movie "88 minutes" here the extras folder here how it shows in main movie page, in emby here the page of the movie, no extras folder showing
Luke 42079 Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Instead of adding windows shares directly to emby server, what I would suggest instead is to mount the shares to local paths using docker or unRAID, and then add those local paths into emby server.
zfrenchy 12 Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 Can you clear a bit for me, I am not sure to understand what you suggest.
Solution zfrenchy 12 Posted July 13, 2022 Author Solution Posted July 13, 2022 GOT IT !!!!!!!!!!!! THANK you soo much !
