Locutus64 125 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) I got a new M.2 drive so I installed a fresh copy of XeroLinux(Arch based), did all my tweaks, installed all my software, setup my browsers, then went to setup Emby. I started with TV Series as the first library and after the scan was done I'm missing a lot of primary images and on some shows the thumbnail is being used for the primary image. I added Movies for the next library and it's perfectly fine. I since removed TV Series, restarted the server, restarted the system, added TV Series back and after the scan was done I have the same issue. I'm at a loss as to what might be causing the issue. Any ideas and or help addressing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Emby 4.7.2.0 Permissions.txtembyserver.txtembyserver-63790598742.txthardware_detection-63790598747.txtembyserver - debug.zip Edited June 12, 2022 by Locutus64
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 12, 2022 Solution Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) One issue is TVDB is currently completely broke and devs are waiting on a response from them per the "TooManyRequests" topic. Looks like you primarily got Posters from FanArt but not sure on the missing ones. What is your Image provider order? Edited June 12, 2022 by Happy2Play 1
Locutus64 125 Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 Looks like TVDB and FanArt in that order. Should I try switching TVDB for TMDB?

It would help as all images are currently only coming from FanArt but per the log Emby may still be getting from FanArt as the embyserver log ends getting poster images. 1
Locutus64 125 Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) OK added a test Library of Shows To Catch Up On which only has 11 shows with only a couple having more than one season in it. I've put TMDB, FanArt, TVDB in that order. When it finishes scanning we'll see what I get. Edited June 13, 2022 by Locutus64
Locutus64 125 Posted June 13, 2022 Author Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) Ding Ding Ding looks like we have a winner. The single seasons didn't get properly done, but I didn't expect them to. The 3 series with all seasons in them were done perfectly. I then edited TV Series and set it to TMDB, FanArt, TVDB and rescanned and almost instantly it was fixed. Thanks a lot. Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 FYI TVDB appear to be up and running again as my logs are no longer throwing error. Only potential issues will be does TMDB data correspond correctly with your media the same as TVDB would have. 1 1
Locutus64 125 Posted June 13, 2022 Author Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) TMDB in my case has ALWAYS been more accurate than the TVDB. This is why I always push so hard to switch from TVDB to TMDB. Thanks for suggestion and the help, much appreciated. Edited June 14, 2022 by Locutus64
Locutus64 125 Posted June 14, 2022 Author Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) @Luke if you had read my last two post you would know the answer is yes the issue is resolved. Edited June 14, 2022 by Locutus64
