播放过程中出现一个绿屏,视频开始播放约 10 秒钟,然后消失。1294159426_QQ20220602171807.thumb.png.1e7b275823b68482b10cea1fecfb8c44.png415468900_QQ20220602171818.thumb.png.f6ffe2e8627f02f9b9883f267b7b3d72.png1946254238__20220602172120.png.8ae9b550de949c3056f874cb96509cec.png

This should be moved to the Linux sub as this is not a windows server problem, this is a linux server problem, possible docker.  There are also dropped frames, which should not be happening, which means it's a server end problem.

Operating System: Linux version 5.13.19-6-pve (build@proxmox) (gcc (Debian 10.2.1-6) 10.2.1 20210110, GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Debian) 2.35.2) #1 SMP PVE 5.13.19-15 (Tu
OS/Process: x64/x64
Emby Server version: 4.7.2.0
Operating system: Unix 5.13.19.6

00:35:03.730 [hevc_qsv @ 0xbfd040] get_buffer() failed
00:35:03.730 Error while decoding stream #0:0: Cannot allocate memory
00:35:03.730 [hevc_qsv @ 0xbfd040] get_buffer() failed
00:35:03.730 Error while decoding stream #0:0: Cannot allocate memory

Are you using a docker or what?

 maybe this addresses the problem?  It would also help if you said what hardware is on the server.  I know it's in the log, but it would be easier so other people know.  I know there have been serious issues with quicksync and dockers on debian, and I will admit I know pretty much nothing when it comes to dealing with it. All I can do is googlefu.

@lihouyu001 - Does it work when you playback without subtitles?

Does it work when you select VAAPI encoders and decoders instead?

I have tried your project and there is no green screen. But the transcoding efficiency is a bit low, so I decided to give up this video. Thanks!

In one of the upcoming betas (next or one after the next), we will have hardware overlay for subtitles which will provide much better performance for subtitle burn-in.

Thanks,
softworkz

Out of curiosity, do those green screen happen only with Emby?

If you try VLC or MPC, do you get any green screen.

I have got a few of those myself, after transcoding with xMediaRecode (to decrease file size) and saving subtitles.

Source file is OK, transcoded file without including subtitle also OK.

The subtitles were appearing on green background, instead of video.

Moving video frames back and forth between memory requires a lot of memory and a lot of CPU

In one of the next beta we will do subtitle overlay in hardware, so it won't be required any more to download video frames, overlay subtitles and the re-upload again for encoding.

On more thing you can try when you get message about low video memory:

Boot your machine and go into BIOS. At some place it is possible to configure the integrated CPU graphics (iGPU). Find the setting where you can choose the graphics memory to be assigned: Choose the maximum (e.g. 1024 MB) instead of "Auto".
