Super957 24 Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 (edited) My library has this folder structure: \Music \Artist Name \Album Name 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 following istructions on Emby Music Naming : Emby But in soma case the album has 2 cd \Music \Artist Name \Album Name \CD 1 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 \CD 2 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 and in home of music i have the same artist but with 2 image, one for each CD. So in which way i can have only 1 image of the artist and clicking on it (open it) i see the 2 CD ?? Thank Hispa Edited May 14, 2022 by Super957
Solution Junglejim 385 Posted May 15, 2022 Solution Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) I achieve this by using a tag editor and use the cd tag (1of2, 2of2 etc.) for each CD. Then dump all the tracks into one folder and name it "Greatest Hits" in your case, then adjust all the album name tags in that folder to match that "Greatest Hits". Super957 24 Posted May 15, 2022 Author Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) BIG THANK Junglejim I follow your suggesions and solve !!! Just a comparison, i set in this way cd 1/1 in Mp3Tag (screenshot one) and you can see the result on Emby (screenshot 2), where is displayed cd 2 and no cd 1...also for you ? Thank Hispa Edited May 15, 2022 by Super957 1
Junglejim 385 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Yea mate, nice work! Great double album by the way.. I have that one.. Love Jimmy page.. 1
pwhodges 2012 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 "Disk 1" is not displayed because it would be silly if there is only one CD. I guess that Emby could check before making that decision, but the way it is was a deliberate choice by the developers (it's been brought up before). Paul 1

Paul Thanks Paul, It would be good to have a D1/D2 title above a multi disc album, but as you stated its not that relevant for a one disc. I don't really care about it that much because its fairly obvious as you scroll through the CD's. 1
Sacha38 13 Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Hi, Another way is with this folder structure (like the movie folder structure): \Music \Artist Name \Album Name - CD1 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 \Album Name - CD2 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 Now wich one to choose ?

That's not a substitute for tagging though. The tracks still need to have their track and disc numbers tagged in the embedded information in the file.
Sacha38 13 Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 yes of course It's just for not having two album listed like the image below
Sacha38 13 Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 (edited) Sorry i understand now This folder structure works fin too : \Music \Artist Name \Album Name \CD 1 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 \CD 2 1- Song.mp3 2- Song.mp3 The things most important is : "The tracks still need to have their track and disc numbers tagged in the embedded information in the file." Thanks Edited May 20, 2022 by Sacha38 1
