mouseware 9 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Hi, Not sure what's going on here, but all of a sudden my library seems corrupt. Many (not all) movies are automatically being refreshed with the wrong metadata. The title & plot get updated for the wrong movie. It seems all the other data is correct. I deleted all NFO files in my library, and ran powershell to update all video files' timestamp by +1 minute so Emby would scan again and "correct". The scan fixes all the issues and my movies are solid again. Then magically next day they are all back to where they were, wrong data. I did this three times, and it seems these movies with wrong titles/plot keep changing to the same wrong movie as they were before. This example is "Uncharted" changes to "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers". All the other titles with mixup have different wrong titles. I enabled debugging, and can see in logs that emby finds "new" movie, and then writes NFO. The NFO matches the movie name with NFO extension. 2022-04-24 22:25:01.380 Debug App: Running FolderImageProvider for \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022) 2022-04-24 22:25:01.397 Debug App: Running FFProbeProvider for \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].mkv 2022-04-24 22:25:01.397 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: C:\Users\[x]\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\ffprobe.exe -i file:"\MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2022-04-24 22:25:01.400 Debug MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Started. 2022-04-24 22:25:01.450 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 2022-04-24 22:25:01.469 Debug App: Running MovieDbProvider for \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].mkv 2022-04-24 22:25:01.479 Debug App: Running OmdbItemProvider for \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].mkv 2022-04-24 22:25:01.479 Debug App: Running MovieNfoProvider for \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].mkv 2022-04-24 22:25:01.481 Debug App: Running BaseGenreCleaner for \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].mkv 2022-04-24 22:25:01.755 Debug App: Saving nfo metadata for \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].mkv to \MOVIES2\U\Uncharted (2022)\Uncharted (2022) [WEBDL-2160p].nfo. Any ideas on how to correct without PS Scripting to set the originally created NFO's to read only? Any help is appreciated. Wrong NFO attached, can send logs if needed, but will take some time to sanitize. Thanks! movie.nfo
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 26, 2022 Solution Posted April 26, 2022 Realtime Monitoring does not make changes it sees the changes. What other program touches writes metadata as that does not look like a Emby nfo file (different format/layout, no encoding)? Sonarr/Radarr? mouseware 9 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 Crap, using all of the above... let the log mining begin... Thanks for quick reply!
mouseware 9 Posted April 27, 2022 Author Posted April 27, 2022 Radarr was causing issue. Their latest nightly build fixes. I can't find anything on their Discord, GitHub, Reddit, etc regarding this topic. However, I've turned off all metadata options, and will let Emby handle. Radarr Version 4.2.0.6237 Update Fixed: Wrong translation mapping can be used for file naming and metadata Translated fields are mapped incorrectly for existing search results 1
Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Here is their ticket for the issue. Filenames are wrong movie · Issue #7243 · Radarr/Radarr (github.com)
mouseware 9 Posted April 27, 2022 Author Posted April 27, 2022 Saw that one, but didn't quite match what I was seeing. My Radarr showed correct everything: paths, titles, plot, actors, and etc. It would even download and rename correctly. Just when it ran the metadata tasks would it screw it up by deleting Emby's autogen NFO and replacing with it's own movie.nfo. Unchecked: Settings > Metadata > Kodi (XBMC) / Emby > Enable An it was strange because you have the "Use Movie.nfo" setting as well, which doesn't indicate it will delete existing nfo files. This threw me off as i was just expecting it to keep all nfo files, and Emby would use the nfo matching media file. This lead me to thinking it was Emby related since the Emby created file was deleting. Oh well, another reason not to go with nightly builds. Thanks for assistance! 1
