Nashemon 3 Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 TheMovieDb website is online, but when creating a new collection Emby can't identify it. I recreated a few of my libraries earlier today to resolve an issue, and just noticed that my collections from those libraries were wiped. Emby has automatically recreated those that have 4 or more movies, but fails to identify the collection. It just adds the generic 4 quarter poster with no metadata. Editing images shows nothing. Trying to identify it by title or TheMovieDb ID gives no results. I had all my collections set up the way I liked them so I can't tell you the last time I created new one, so this could be a known issue, but I don't see any topics about it.
Nashemon 3 Posted April 22, 2022 Author Posted April 22, 2022 I waited overnight to see if it would resolve on it's own, but it has not. But I found a partial workaround. Rather than using Identify, I can edit the metadata for the collection in Emby, and add the TMDBid there. Upon refreshing the metadata, it kind of finds the collection. It scraps the images and lets me select an actual collection style poster. It's kind of weird. When the collection is created as stated above, it creates a 4 quarter poster, and populates the Rating, and Genres. Overview is blank, which led me to believe it's not pulling anything. But upon inspecting other collections that were not affected (yet), I guess there's not as much to collection metadata as I thought there was. The only things that are technically not working due to the identify issue are images and Overview. Using the workaround I can add a poster, and just manually copy the description from TMDB. Can anyone confirm this? I'm worried it's something on my end. I'm going to fix the small number of ones that are currently messed up and back up my collection database before I proceed with fixing the rest of my libraries. I should be able to restore the collections from backup afterwards and not have to deal with recreating them again.
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted April 22, 2022 Solution Posted April 22, 2022 Have you verified all the Collection library setting, ensuring to enable the "Show advanced settings" switch?

Bro, you're so smart. That issue I was working through the past few days with my duplicate fanart, I must have inadvertently disabled TheMovieDb fetcher in collections. Re-enabling that fixed this issue. Thanks, buddy. 1
