Why does Emby create a "poster.jpg" file when a "movie title (year).jpg" already exists?

Have you ticked the save artwork into media folders in library options. If not your server will pull from the default file and if one does not exists will download one.

Also if you have multiple library's you must do it for all.

Can you go over a specific example?

In my test, local "{name}.ext' image was used.

'Save artwork into media folders' is enabled for this library.

From the KB

{name} represents the video file name, without extension.

Hmm, I (mis?)understood that I was to use the folder name. I'll have to test some more. Thanks.

Okay, folder name works for TV but file name works for Movies.

Thanks for your help. I'll mark this solved.
