Alphane 1 Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 (edited) Hi, On an old Debian Jessie server, Emby was working well. But since a few weeks, it needs to be restarted almost every day with : sudo service emby-server restart I use Emby 4.6.7.0 with Emby for Kodi add-on. I don't know if it's the problem... For example : an evening, I watch something with Emby for Kodi, then I quit Kodi, shut down my PC, and the day after, Emby doesn't work any more. I have to restart it, and then it works again. How can I know the origin of this problem ? Thank you for your help ! Edited April 19, 2022 by Alphane
Luke 42078 Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Hi there, please attach the emby server log from when this happens: Thanks.
Alphane 1 Posted April 21, 2022 Author Posted April 21, 2022 (edited) Thank you for your answer. Here is the last Emby log : https://pastebin.com/yBx8bwEa This is the same "error report" message again and again during all the night until 4 AM. (I didn't copy all the log, because this one has 7398897 lines !) Edited April 21, 2022 by Alphane
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 (edited) Can you post a log after a restart? If you disable DLNA do you still have this issue? As I am pretty sure the "RSSDP" is part of DLNA and it is spamming this 1 hour rollover log. 2022-04-21 01:07:27.797 Error App: ArgumentException parsing message *** Error Report *** Version: 4.6.7.0 Command line: /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /var/lib/emby -ffdetect /opt/emby-server/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /opt/emby-server/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /opt/emby-server/bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 -updatepackage emby-server-deb_{version}_amd64.deb Operating system: Linux version 4.9.0-3-amd64 (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 6.3.0 20170516 (Debian 6.3.0-18) ) #1 SMP Debian 4.9.30-2+deb9u5 (2017-09-19 Framework: .NET Core 3.1.21 OS/Process: x64/x64 Runtime: opt/emby-server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 4 Data path: /var/lib/emby Application path: /opt/emby-server/system System.ArgumentException: System.ArgumentException: data is not a valid request, it does not contain any CRLF/LF terminators. Alphane 1 Posted April 22, 2022 Author Posted April 22, 2022 I don't use that, but the option is enabled. Should I disable it ?
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 22, 2022 Solution Posted April 22, 2022 7 minutes ago, Alphane said: I don't use that, but the option is enabled. Should I disable it ? I would and see if it improves. It will at least stop the error spamming from whatever device on you network.
Alphane 1 Posted April 23, 2022 Author Posted April 23, 2022 It seems to be ok. I'll see in a few days... I hope this is the solution ! Thank you !
