Unable to use PIN on local network

I have to enter a password every time i access my server despite setting the 'allow a numeric pin code on local network' option and entering a PIN. Essentially choosing the PIN option gives me the same effect as choosing 'require a password on local network', as with either option i have to enter the full password.

Additionally, if i set the option to 'don't require a password on local network' I am able to login with just a tap so the option is doing something, and emby is clearly aware that i am on my local network. IP ranges are identical on both client and server (192.168.100.xxx). Client is android, server running on windows 10, version 4.6.7.0.

I was hoping to be able to just enter a pin and login locally, but it will not work that way for me. Have I set something incorrectly or not understanding the funtionality of this feature?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that this is the only user on this server currently (while I'm testing), and the user is linked to an emby connect account if that makes a difference.

Hi.  Exactly where are you entering the PIN?  It should just go in the normal password field.

Just tested with Android 3.2.35, have no issues logging in by inserting PIN in Password field.

Thankyou both - I knew it would be something stupid my end. The login UI not changing confused me.

Works perfectly when I enter the PIN into password field.
