raymondjpg 16 Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Windows 10 21H2 fully patched. Trying to add a library of files from a networked resource. Emby Server appears to be unable to scan or browse the network. See image below. Entering the full UNC path for the network share, Emby reports an error "The path could not be found. Please ensure the path is valid and try again." I am signed into Emby Server with the same username as that with full permissions on the shares. Adding Everyone with full permission on the shares makes no difference. I see this behaviour on two Emby Server installations on my LAN. I'm pretty sure that I had this working previously, but looks like something may have changed.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 From the search standpoint I see the same but have no issue putting the path in the field and it is returning results.
raymondjpg 16 Posted February 26, 2022 Author Posted February 26, 2022 (edited) Thanks for the response. Is HOMESERVER a local or remote PC on the LAN? I can get the UNC path to work for a local PC, not a remote PC. Edited February 26, 2022 by raymondjpg

If it is not working for you all I can think of would-be permission.
Solution raymondjpg 16 Posted February 26, 2022 Author Solution Posted February 26, 2022 (edited) Looks like I was putting the UNC path into the wrong field. I was putting it in to the "(Optional) Shared network folder." field. When entered in the "Folder:" field it worked fine. Thanks for your help. Edited February 26, 2022 by raymondjpg 1
