Getting started

I am new to this.. how do start using the app I have been given an PIN number can anybody help ?

Go to emby.media/pin in your browser (desktop or mobile), enter credentials and PIN there.

Hi the pin was given when I went it the app on my fire stick and followed the link entered the pin but nothing happened 

Do you have to pay for emby?

Do you have your server installed (or someone shared their server with you)?

You don't have to pay for the server software, unless you want more advanced facilities like live TV or hardware transcoding, which you get with a Premiere licence.  Some apps have a small once-off cost, unless the server has a Premiere licence.

But be clear - Emby is only offering you software (server and matching apps).  Emby does not provide any media content; you get that yourself.  Or you persuade a friend who is running an Emby server to let you have access to theirs.
