Carlo 4561 Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 Yep, giving permission to Emby so it can access the files is usually a good idea. That new system internal user is a brand new thing in DSM 7 that takes a bit of getting used to. It was done by Synology to harden the platform and be more secure. So overall it's a good thing but they could have done a better job of educating users of this new method to grant access rights during the DSM 7 upgrade.
