Live TV does not remove non-favorited channels from lineup

I followed the setup guide to the letter but nothing I do will stop the Guide from displaying every channel EMBY believes I should have (I use OTA, so I have so few of them in reality).  I have it set to only display favorites.  I have the SD Tuner setup with the proper Xs and Colored Dots for the channels I want and do not want, etc.  I removed the guide data and set it up from scratch inside EMBY, I even rebooted the entire PC to be sure, yet no dice.

The instructions say "Emby will now reload your channels only pulling your favorites. It will reload your guide data and then remove the non-favorite channels from your lineup!" but they never go away, no matter how many times I reload the guide data.

I have attached a picture of what I mean.  It shows no guide data, but it still shows the several hundred channels I do NOT have.  How do I make them go away?

EDIT:  Long story short, the IPTV Plug In was the culprit.  Removing it made things right.

Sorry, just saw the TV forum, I cannot figure out how to delete this post and create one there...

Hi, Emby doesn't remove favorites using this technique. It's xteve that changes the list of channels that are sent to emby server based on your xteve settings.

xteve settings?

I want it to remove all the non-favorite channels, like what the guide says it will do.  I have them favorited in both the silicon dust app and in EMBY., just to be sure.  I favorited all the channels that I can successfully tune on a regular basis and only want them shown in the guide.  I want all the channels I cannot tune to not be shown in the guide.  For example, all the channels with no data in them in the screenshot from my first post.

I'm not an xteve expert but I would imagine that after changing your settings on that side, you'd have to run the refresh guide scheduled task within emby server.

Did that, at least 5 times just to make sure I did it properly.  I saw the line start to fill up with green, then go away, so I assume it finished.

Is there a way to manually edit a file EMBY reads?  I have no problem doing that to make them go away.

It sounds like these are the channels that the server is getting from xteve. I'm not sure what to tell you other than go back and review your xteve settings, or use emby channel management features to uncheck the channels that you don't want.

But since this is HD Homerun, why use xteve at all? You can just import HD Homerun directly into Emby Server without it.

Ah sorry I think I misread and confused this with another topic. Try clicking on your HDHR tuner in Emby Server and checking the option to only import favorite channels.

My Live TV Setup does not show all the extra channels, HDHomeRun does not show them either, there is only one channel not showing in the third pciture.

AH!!!  Good call!  I must have added IPTV at one point and not remembered.  Removing it solved the problem.  I have no need for IPTV, so removing it to give me what I really want is a perfect fix!

Thank you for your patience, I was pulling my hair out over this!  :D

Just FYI the IPTV plugin does not affect your Live TV Guide.

It did mine.  When I uninstalled the IPTV plugin, all those extra channels vanished.  Had to do another guide refresh, of course, but after removing the IPTV plugin, the refresh caused all the hundreds of extra channels to go away.
