Alexa Skill not for German Language

Hi,

I bought this year the premium from Emby as i like to have the Alexa Skill, but it is'nt available until now. i feel betrayed next time I won't do that if what I promised isn't there.

Too bad you don't even get an answer from the developers. I also bought Emby Premium precisely because I can control Emby with my Alexa.

What's wrong with the integration not being available?

Es gibt ein kleines Nebenprojekt, nämlich einen Alexa-Skill, der derzeit die deutsche Sprache behandelt. Wir suchen derzeit deutschsprachige Personen, die folgende Voraussetzungen mitbringen.

1. Eine Domain, die Ihren Emby-Server erreicht.
2. Ein SSL-Zertifikat. (wir können dabei helfen, wenn Sie eine Domain haben)
3. Jedes Amazon Echo-Gerät. (wenn Ihr Gerät einen Bildschirm hat, der noch besser ist, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich).
4. Optional: ein FireTV-Stick.

Wenn Sie denken, dass Sie daran interessiert sein könnten, an einer Beta-Alexa (deutsche Sprache) teilzunehmen, senden Sie mir bitte eine Nachricht, und wir können weiter sprechen.

This thread is ridiculous. Was searching for the Emby Alexa skill and couldn't find it, so I came here for answers. But the only answer @Luke is giving is: "We are working on it". For more than 2 years now. So was it a lie? Because I can't see why the translation of an already existing Alexa skill can be that hard of a task, that it takes more than 2 years to achieve.

Instead, we get these non-answers. And as others pointed out, this is an advertised Premiere feature. Which makes this thread even more embarrassing.

wow... this thread is really interesting, and ... honestly: I do have some doubts on the future of emby...
I already noticed a big impact on the releases of emby over the past years...  @chef

I think, my setup would fit to the criteria...

Yes! There is one other dev involved, so I want to touch base with him.

The project got a little side tracked, but it works quite well, and I personally use it all the time.

Let me touch base with the other dev, and see how he feels about getting this out there!

I just bought an Amazon Echo today and also paid for the Emby subscription.. obviously hoping to be able to use it, and now I just found out that this is not possible! (call me naive)

I couldn't care less about German or Spanish or Swajilli or whatever exotic random language, I just want to install the Emby skill IN ENGLISH in an Echo that is linked to the Amazon Germany shop.

Why do we need to wait years for this?

Von dem Gedanken mit dem deutschen Alexa Skill wirst du dich wohl verabschieden können. 
Genau wie die deutsche Tizen App. 
Es ärgert mich sooo dermaßen, das ich die Lifetime Lizens gekauft habe!!!

Das ist es in der Tat. Und ich hab es Luke auch schon im italienischem Threat, wo auch ein User bereits über längere Zeit angefragt hatte, geschrieben: Versprechen ersetzen keine Taten.

Ich habe ständig bei gewissen Dingen, Beispiel: DTS-HD HighResolution Tonspur, oder Ruckeln von Video mit DTS-HD unter der Emby App, irgendwann laut werden müssen, damit diese Bugs behoben werden. Fragt doch mal @Eddie6411284, wieviele Bugs er über längeren Zeitraum schon meldet, und nichts passiert.

Well, since German is apparently not going to be published anytime soon, can we at least get access to the English Alexa Skill?

I came to Emby from Plex, and I am inches away to got back to installing Plex just so I can listen to my music.   And I am a paying Emby member...   This is unreal!

Ich hoffe hier tut sich bald Mal was.... bei Plex hat es wenigstens in 10% der Fälle geklappt,das Musik gespielt wurde. Und hier?

Verarsche an allen zahlenden Kunden die keinen Zugriff bekommen auf den Alexa skilll, mit dem ja Werbung gemacht wird.

Also entweder (anteilig)Geld zurück oder endlich Skill freischalten.

Oder hat von euch schon Mal ein Auto mit 3 reifen gekauft in dem guten Glauben, der vierte kommt bald nach weil der Autohändler alle halbe Jahr schreibt "wir arbeiten am 4. Reifen stay tuned".

Also Gas geben, Skill frei schalten...

Lassen wir uns überraschen @Teddyknuddel. Bin ehrlich gesagt auch enttäuscht. Ich habe mir Emby auch wegen des Alexa Support gekauft. Nun wird man seit 2 Jahren hingehalten. Ich bin sehr gespannt, ob der Support kommt und wann vor allem.
