Is there currently any way to export the actor images when running v4.6.4.0

None of the Plugins I could find seem to work.

(I get a

Method not found: 'System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2<System.String,System.String> MediaBrowser.Controller.Entities.BaseItem.get_ProviderIds()'.

error with the BackupRestoreActors plugin)

Thanks

AFAIK nope, both Backup/Restore Actors and People Backup and Restore plugins have not been updated for 4.6.4.0.

Now that you mentioned it, haven't seen @mickle026 for quite some time

and

@pünktchen's interests currently lie elsewhere.

Yep I found both those.

dam, wish I had not done the update now :(

Thanks anyway.

You can, however, migrate people to new location via Migration plugin, exposing them in install-dir\programdata\matedata\people and then backup that folder. It's something, at least.

ahh, thanks, I will give that a go. I think I found that post but saw the zip was unavailable.

(But I was not logged in on the browser that found it. Doh!)

People are sort of a grey area now as backups are sort of useless with Emby changing to writing name-tmdbid folders.  But yes the migration plugin is your best bet.

Unless you want to store them in media folders, .actors subfolder.

@GrimReaper thanks, that seems to have worked.

Can I now delete the old People folder in the metadata directory?

as from what I read this is no longer used.

(I would like to clean up stuff if it's no longer used, saves confusion at a later date)

If you refer to legacy people folder - yep.

Now I have a further question, not sure if it should go here or a new thread, but will start with here.

The migration plugin did indeed export the actor images, but there were not that many actual images in the great scheme of things, ballpark around 800.

So I did another export that included those without images and the size grew to just under 100,000...

At the moment when I look at a movie detail page a large amount of the images are empty or have the placeholder icon, refreshing the page a few times can get some of them to load.

For some of them if you click the (...) 3 dots, you will see a tiny thumbnail of the actor, but the main actor image is empty.

If I collect actor images myself and add them to the correct folders and the actor images are named as folder.jpg will emby use these? (and so not have to try and get them from the online sources)

Yes. Do run Scan Metadata Folder task.

excellent, thanks.

Although I wish they had split the actors by letter like the old People folder instead of just one directory with all the actors folders.

As the people directory becomes pretty unwieldy when it has 99477 folders in it.

Yeah, there was a similar thread fairly recently regarding same, @Happy2Play might remember which one it was, can't find it.

Pretty sure you are looking for this one.

But yes alpha folders would be more organized.

But biggest issue right now is {name} folder is not cleaned up when {name-tmdbid} folder is made.
