MajesticMaerlyn 17 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Hi, I am sure I am missing sometime stupidly easy, but is there an easy to replace existing TV show's thumbnails for each episode with newly downloaded ones? Ideally not manually I tried a new library scan as well as refresh metadata (replace images selected). Do I need to make sure "prefer local assets" option selected, and the perform a library scan? Example I added these to my library as episodetitle-thumb.jpg etc - obviously correlated to exact same name as episode title: Cheers in advance

That would re-download the images from meta-providers and replace your existing ones. 22 minutes ago, MajesticMaerlyn said: Do I need to make sure "prefer local assets" option selected, That is Team Orange setting, where in Emby did you encounter such setting? Emby should check for the presence of local artwork by default, in the order as stipulated in the KB article: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159110 For episodes, artwork name should be episodefilename-thumb.ext, not episodetitle-thumb.ext. Scan media library task, Scan Library Files on Library or TV show three-dot menu, any of them should pick those up. 1
MajesticMaerlyn 17 Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 It doesn't exist, I was confusing an option that exists on another platform. I will check the naming schema once I get back home but I was pretty certain I had that correct (I may have typed it wrong here, as I said, riding on a bus haha). Cheers
MajesticMaerlyn 17 Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 I see what has happened. It had the ones I downloaded, and stupid me didn't see the pre-downloaded ones in Emby (one are in jpg, one are in png) - so Emby appears to have just stuck with the one's already there. Once I manually deleted those, a library scan picked them up. Thanks for the help @GrimReaper76 1
