gjviii 48 Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Can someone tell me where to go on the server to turn on the missing episodes for TV shows? I have done multiple searches and cant seem to locate where to go to turn it on. IT appears to have been shut off a few months ago. Thanks
Solution Carlo 4560 Posted July 21, 2021 Solution Posted July 21, 2021 Hi, edit your TV Show library and turn on advanced up top. Here is the setting: 1
GrimReaper 4739 Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Inside your Library settings, enable "Show advanced settings", scroll down, tick "Display missing episodes within seasons".
GrimReaper 4739 Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Lol @cayars, this was literally within 2 seconds. 1

gjviii 48 Posted July 22, 2021 Author Posted July 22, 2021 thanks I still seem to be missing the display missing episode
GrimReaper 4739 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 (edited) That looks like a Movie or Mixed type library. You need a TV Shows type one. Edited July 22, 2021 by GrimReaper76 1
Carlo 4560 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Yes, what @GrimReaper76 said. What library type is this?

Did this change to tv shows? i dont believe i have changed my library type ever, but i do know missing episodes have worked in the past? thanks everyone for catching it, i'll change them from Mixed to tv shows
Carlo 4560 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 You don't need to create a new library but can change the existing library type. Please follow this guide to make this easy change:
gjviii 48 Posted July 22, 2021 Author Posted July 22, 2021 thanks for the help with changing the folder. i changed it using the guidelines above and now everything is showing again. 1
Berzzerker 0 Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 reviving the topic. The 'show missing episodes' is not working for me. I moved my media collection to a different nas, and had Emby rebuild from scratch. On my previous nas, the function worked great and I used it a lot. Now, although having enabled the function, I don't get to see missing episodes. As there are 650+ shows in my tv collection, does my database need more time to get this done? or am I missing something? PS: I also really miss the "status Continuing/ended' in the filter options

PS: I also really miss the "status Continuing/ended' in the filter options There are two options one in library and the other in User-Display. Library option will import into database (tvdb metadata required) User option will then show the database info if enabled. Do you have both enabled? 1
Berzzerker 0 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Thanks! This solved it. I didn't have the user option enabled. My fault.
dalo1987 5 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 hi there, sorry to revive, but the missing episodes option is gone. I already checked the library type: it is tv shows. Even a new test-library won't show up the option. Im running latest beta 4.8.0.65 1
Spaceboy 2573 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 this was removed recently - can't find the posts on it but i'm sure someone will link you up 2

pwhodges 2012 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 This is about missing episodes, not specials positioning... Paul 1 1
GrimReaper 4739 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) Doh, my bad. Lemme find the right topic. Edit: Edited December 30, 2023 by GrimReaper Link 1
kingmustard 14 Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 "Display missing episodes within season" is definitely missing in February 2024. The content type is set to 'TV shows'. Can you please assist? 1
Luke 42077 Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Hi, have you checked out the new context menu option on a series to view missing episodes? 2
jochenhonig 13 Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 I have the same question, and am aware of the new context menu. Are you saying you removed the option to show all episodes in the regular view, which is something I would still definitely like to have? 2
serband 26 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 @LukeOh wow, I just noticed today that the Upcoming and Missing episodes were removed from from within the episodes lists. I think every user liked that feature. I would like to have it back. The current context menu is simply a bad decision! I prefer the visual version rather than going through a lot of steps to see the contextual menu. Please roll this back with the next update. 3 1
