  2. For ExoPlayer (which is what we use on Android devices) it works like this: The min and max buffer are both set at 50 seconds. If that's not enough buffer, then the bitrate needs to be reduced.

  3. Buffering won't help with that. It will just stall at different times and for longer. There is simply no way to get perfect playback without the right connection.

  5. Hello, I noticed that the home screen (haven't tested any other sections) doesn't deal with transparency as well as I hoped. Probably because there's no reason to expect posters with transparent parts, but for the playlists section I like to make it a little prettier; it's something I enjoy. I've also tested this on the mobile app and the same issue applies there (using a white/bright theme). As you can see the border of the image is a little brighter than the background. Is this something that can be fixed so that it matches properly?

  8. Fix isn’t really the right word. The design for mixed content is more generic because it has a lot different types of users to please. Maybe we can incorporate a spotlight into it.

  10. of course it does. everyone that would connecting via this method uses 2fa. would be an option to use if added correctly. thats what you wanted. With link sharing you woudlnt even need 2fa as only the device with the link can login. its just an idea. dont throw it out so fast as its not just like a reverse proxy..

  12. I'm not proposing that you change the apps to display buffer size. Just list them in this thread or somewhere on the site (KB?) if that info is available. That's all. Lack of information is why so many debates in these forums just go on and on.

  14. Perhaps the devs could help put this buffer discussion to rest if they would post the buffer sizes available to the supported Emby apps and platforms. Whether sized in bytes or duration for a given bitrate it could paint a clearer picture for all interested. Now, if this information is not available to the devs that in itself would solidify their position that it's out of their hands.

  15. Have a similar request........ In adding a new "People" for a Movie (or TV) You have the options for Actor, Director, Writer etc but no option for blank or other. Adding a Cinematographer and have to leave it blank so that only the name shows (no option to add Role if one of the existing jobs is not selected). An "Other" option would be great and you could add the description in the Role field. Would only affect the dropdown list I think not adding actual fields.

  16. Thanks for this fix! And for the temporary fix!! I just checked, they latest Roku app push fixed the original issue! But, most impressively, kudos to the Emby team for getting out a quick temporary and then permanent fix when the community found a problem. I simply can not think of any other group that is so responsive. You can't even get ahold of Google or an airline company or a Telco or anyone else these days when something goes wrong!! So please forward my appreciation to the team!!!!

  18. Hi again I saw the explanation that country additions are usually delayed while Samsung app updates are under review, which makes total sense. However, I also noticed that the latest app update seems to have been approved back in March, so I wanted to kindly check if there are any updates regarding the next country expansion request. Just a friendly reminder to please keep Nicaragua in mind as well. My mom is still reinstalling Emby manually every month Thanks again for all the work you do and for continuing to support more regions!

  21. I've fixed some problems in Dev version 2.1.8.1. So please test it again. I've verified Continuous Playback is working in both Windows apps, both Android Apps, Roku and Web app. If it still not working for you, please pm me the Emby log file.
