The latest beta server build has a hidden config switch. so if you open up the /config/system.xml file, set ValidateImageTags to true and then start the server. this will make the image tag value required, which will be unique per image and therefore you won't be able to guess a url anymore. It's an opt-in config switch for now to allow for time to identify cases where that param may not be supplied.

The reason is actually related to keeping the old TV app in-line with new store policies, not that we cannot have two. Once the current beta has run for long enough for me to be comfortable, I'll attempt another release channel update with Google. I give it about a 40% chance of success but we'll see.

Hi Would it be possible to have filters preference on the user profile? It seems to be in a cookie at the moment. I often change computers and clear cookies and it's annoying to always setup my filter preferences. Thanks

@soderlundA bit busy to do any proper testing, however, it is obvious that the good stuff keep coming. I must comment on the new cleanup function. I know it is meant as a cleanup function but it could be the only place where one can get a comprehensive overall of the tags and collections across all the libraries in the system. I cannot speak for others but I find it incredibly useful. It doesn't offer random access via search, only sequential access via scrolling, even so it is welcomed. Thanks again for your work here. I can remove the smart playlist plugin. Appreciate it a ton

i solvented. The problem was the Adguard.

I notice a lot of people asking why they can't log in to the Emby they paid for access to (pirate netflix services). Might just be confirmation bias on my side. Other than that i don't see much wrong. People asking for help, coming with suggestions and the Emby devs being good at answering and helping. Just wish Emby was better known. A bit annoying media servers being called Plex servers (more and more being called Jellyfin servers) like people calling tablets for ipads no matter the manufacture. I think Emby could get good return on a little correct targeted advertisement. I don't know much about about marketing so if you read this devs, then don't do it because of me!!! )

Subtitle adjustment options (text color included) during playback are already available in Web app and Standard Android app and will likely find its way into the other client apps down the line - which app specifically you're lacking it/are reffering to?

I agree with every thing you say, the maturity and stability is the reason and although as our very own 'admins' it is a good thing, I do worry about the project going forwards. All projects need the next killer feature, the thing that will generate interest in the project and also an interest to pay money to support it. I wonder if Version 5 will need a new Premiere key, how much interest will there be? Maintaining my Emby environment has been like therapy for me at times, I enjoy the headache being an emby admin at home as I can't get sacked for it!! So I'd be happy to support going forwards but how many others will if there's no new feature or enhancement? Then again, what do I know, the monthly app unlocks may be more than enough money to aid development and I am worrying needlessly. .. I use Emby in a similar way as you do, I have a losing battle trying to get my family off the streaming subscriptions but they are lazy. I enjoy the experience of watching content within emby as I like how it tracks my episodes watched, I know where my shows are, I knowwhat quality I'm wathving them in. Within the various streaming apps all they want to do is show you the next show you should be interested in, the shows I'm watching get lost in the UI and I get bored. Here's hoping Emby 5.x gets the media content owners onboard and they will license the content libraries to use through Emby if we are a subscriber, and the Emby Premiere license gives us access to this enormous seedbox....

Don’t think there’s much difference between the two. Only thing I use is the Auro-3D as it gives a better result to my ears than the other upmixers. It’s always difficult comparing receivers, unless you have the time and ability to switch out different models. One thing I have noticed is I can push the denon louder than my onkyo, at a point the onkyo would sound uncomfortable. Not sure if that’s because the calibration is better with the demon, or the Atmos speakers help in some way, or maybe the new paint on the walls is absorbing reflections better, who knows Just be happy with what you’ve bought!!

I find that use think the filter resets it self when done and then weird me asking why they can't find the video they are looking for That's when they can even find the filter option. My users are not the brightest sometimes but emby could use a bit of user friendliness update, like text on some buttons instead of icons. Just my opinion.

Because the Playstore for stable is no longer being updated as Emby transitions to their new Android app and they were told they can't update both at this time. Which is why you need to either join the beta Playstore, or sideload if you want to remain current with ATV. Otherwise, try the new app and run both.

Are you sure that username is correct? It doesn't look right. I'm going to assume you are trying to connect to someone else's server? Have you tried contacting them for assistance? This forum is typically for those who are running their own server.

There's no point in masking local addresses (except making troubleshooting harder by an order of magnitude).

Hey..I just tested on my mobile (Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold) with 3.5.28 Same scene no subtitles. Can you check if it's direct play or transcoding. If I transcoder the subtitles immediately show up but direct play isn't showing it. Also my server 4.9 - could that have anything to do with it?

You are correct, 2.1.23g is the latest Google play store stable release, whereas 2.1.29a was the latest Amazon stable release. Maybe @CBerscan update the Latest Versions page to reflect that to avoid confusion. While I understand the current implementation, I'd also like to see better continuity across all Emby platforms, regardless of whichever version, app or browser is being used.

You might have to refresh and clear the browser cache. It's located in the menu between "Home screen" and "Settings".

Hi, is that the missing episodes dialog?

I actually was able to fix this on mine by going into Windows Update -> Advanced Options -> Recovery -> Reinstall Now It took a bit, but it reinstalled 25H2 and now it works. I did reset the emby app completely before i did, but I think that's unrelated. I have a feeling that Microsoft broke the Windows Push Service with this past update and the repair fixes it. I could be wrong tho

Others will probably get to testing this out before me since I'm still in the middle of a move and my server is currently off for probably the next couple of days at least. Glad to see an update on this and hopefully it will fully address the issue and privacy concerns myself and others have voiced.

Problem has been there since the app was first released and I'm hoping Luke can address the problem soon. I've gone back to primarily using the Samsung app now because of it. Thanks! And yeah, last night I was working on the typography a lot, still lots to do in that area. some areas like the legends were never updated. I'll certainly look at your CSS. Still fighting w/ overriding every user theme option selected but slowly getting there. Sometimes I wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze there. It's getting frustrating at moments.

File uploaded! I remember it had multiple subtitles. none of them worked. The one i really need is the full subtitles and it doesn't work.

Thanks sa2000, I deleted the duplicate folder, and Cinema Intro was also enabled; I turned it off for the movie. I'm going to test if this makes a difference.

Similar experience here as I also started when it was media browser. Purchased premier key also but I am taking a different angle on this. I do regularly every day a check on certain forums here that I have interest in and where I can contribute. The activity and traffic has definitely drastically declined BUT I think this is a good thing in my case. When posting has been reduced I take it as that the Emby project has reached a level of maturity and stability. I have 2 QNAP NASs running Emby servers one for friends that I update with content that they request and one for my home with the latest that my family likes. The boxes just keep running flawless. Update Emby servers with new versions, continue the watching routines I have been doing for years. I also have several streaming services mostly for sports events Netflix add free (Besides Drive to Survive they have the most compelling content), Paramount+ add free (Champions league & Serie A), ESPN+, Peacock (Premier league and Rugby). This further reduces my activity using Emby. However, I can't stand the commercials in the entertainment content on these streamers and you know where I go for the add free content and they end up on Emby. Bottom line my Emby setup just works and I am very happy with it. The home theater I have and the last server version for WMC is on an Intel NUC under Windows 7 that I haven't used in years but that version will never be updated as again it just works when powering it up with the 40TB of content on Unraid servers connected to it.

Yes that hard do to 1 / 2 unit servers usually only hold 4 X 3.5 drives. I reused an old tower gaming pc with 8 slots + a possible expansion of 4 extra drives in the 3 5.25 slots above Then flipped it on its side, now it only takes up the space of a 4 u rack enclosure. The rest of this is fluff This is my current setup. Sorry can't finde the name of the chassis. But look at PC Cases — Fractal Design those are often what people need / want. Choose Your Parts - PCPartPicker without the case.

I have all my music arranged according to genre. I've imported them accordingly, and made a few icons for each as a start. I plan to do more at some point, but here is what I have for now. The Jukebox one is just mixes that I have put together and saved as one giant mp3 file, for ease of use for my parents.
