You might need to add you VPN Ip subnet to your LAN networks. Just be careful not to make mistakes, you can get in an situation where you lock your self out of the server, even on local lan. I do it like this.

I appreciate the help. Thanks to the suggestions I found the DVR recordings path and all is well. Sa2000 asked where this was written, and honestly, I can’t find it now. It was somewhere in the Emby documents, but I looked at so much I don’t remember where I saw this. If I come across it again, I’ll post the document title, or the url. I found an issue with my VPN that was causing one problem.. and it got better, happening less frequently, though last night I was able to duplicate it where VLC worked & Emby didn't. I'll see if I can dig up another log for that time period & post it back. Thanks for sticking with me.

After numerous tries with the Linux edition, I finally gave up and installed it via Docker. Must admit, the installation was quick and easy using Docker. Much easier using the Ugreen docker app to install docker than it was when I installed it on a different NAS I use running on Open Media Vault. It's working fine now as far as I can tell.

We can attach fonts into external .ass files instead of mkvs not to spend time for muxing them. Sample ass is in the attachment in one of my previous posts.

Be careful not to accidentally lock yourself out of your server, even on the local network. That's what the combination of Lan Networks + disabling remote access can cause if not configured correctly. I would suggest enabling remote access until you're sure that you have it right.

Just for information, I’ll take a break from this for a few days and just enjoining the weekend. Letting you guys play and test the latest beta. I feel I have reached a milestone with the plugin and all the features I wanted to have (and more thanks to your suggestions) is there. Im gonna focus one or two releases into bug fixes and smaller improvements, then I believe this is ready for the official Emby plugin catalog. Smart Playlists 2.0 allows filtering by playcount. I think its implementation is quite good. It allows you to select which users to use in calculating playcount in the filters. The only improvement I would request is adding All Users so that it is a bit easier to select a server wide filter.

No, you can't mark one particular season Played there, you're on series level - that'll mark whole TV show/all seasons watched, as you've already observed. In that TV show Display view, it ain't one-click operation to mark single season as Played; you can either: 1) Enter any episode details>select "Go to Season" in the three-dot menu dropdown>mark season Played or 2) Change "Preferred TV show display" to " Always show season folders" under your user Display preferences and mark season Played there, after you have individual seasons listed

Just Date Added (& Date Modified if possible), file size, and Played (Last Played/Watched). Using these filters and the others already included in your plugin, it would be possible to completely replace Emby playlists like "Latest Media" & "Recently Released". Smart Playlists 2.0 have those, just in case ^^. Thanks!

Hallo, Ich bin kein Experte und habe seit Anfang des Jahres mich auch mehr mit meiner Synology beschäftigt. Erst war es JellyFin das läuft im Heim Netzwerk und draußen ... Ständig kein Server ... Dann Plex das läuft und von draußen mit dem Plex Pass auch ohne Probleme. Aber Emby habe ich erst seit ca einer Woche und es ist so einfach zu installieren und im Heimnetzwerk bzw von draußen darauf zuzugreifen. Warum versuchst du es eigentlich über Quickconnect ? Gehe auf "Übersicht" und dort auf die WAN Nummer ... In der Android App meldest du dich mit deinen Emby Daten und dieser WAN Nummer an. LÄUFT Über Quickconnect laufen bei mir auch nur die Synology Apps File Station Audio Station ect Probiere es mal LG Alex

I'm surely not gonna develop at this rapid pace as I have been doing for the last weeks, damn I have put down almost all my free hours on this for the last month It started out with a simple script and then i thought, "wouldn't it be nice to make this into a plugin?". I know i promised that i would get an update out with a fix for the light theme (menu not visible). I got carried away when working on the plugin so I ended up building in some big improvements aswell. So it might take another day or two until next release with that fix, just use dark theme until then if its a big issue. Sorry about the trouble, but... Teaser for next release. Now we can manage each users home screen sections directly from the plugin. We can move the sections and adjust the order. This function is completed and works like a charm! Curently working on a way to create a home screen section directly from the Tag and Collection menu. So when we create an entry for a tag or collection, there will be an option to also create a home screen section for this entry and select what users to give it to. Next step is then to adjust order (with the function above) for one user, and then copy it to all others. All this could possibly be automated aswell. If i can get this working, it will be a HUGE improvement from Embys native way of doing this at the moment.

For device model years 2022 and older, the 2.2.8 update is approved and is waiting launch. So we are just waiting for Samsung to do that.

Hallo @NCC1701Aich hatte / habe dasselbe Problem und dies auch bereits gemeldet. SIehe hier: Mit den Beta Versionen wurde es besser und mit der Beta 4 ist es aktuell am Besten. Es passiert zwar immer noch, aber nicht so oft und meistens fängt es sich nach ein paar Sekunden und ich muss nicht erst rausgehen und die Wiedergabe fortsetzen.

@LukeI could only resolve this issue the following way: 1. Moved the media files outside the library 2. Scan After scanning, 2 of 4 items were removed (the ones I had moved outside the library). The two remaining items were the ones that didn't actually exist 3. Look up the media item in Emby 4. Use "Refresh Metadata" on the remaining non-existant items The item couldn't be found after Refreshing 5. Moved items back into the library 6. Scan No more duplicates. Perhaps this issue stems from something within the metadata causing duplicates.

I'll throw some other information out while we wait for a response. These are all things conveyed in the past here which affect the speed of return. You can't necessarily compare one company to another as far as the speed their apps are processed. There are different tiers of support for which the price rises the higher you go. The higher tiers can affect the speed and the age of the TVs supported also. For instance, Samsung typically won't test the Emby app for TVs after 4 years (though Luke can do a special request once in a while for older models now). However, the Netflix app gets updated for older models all the time because they pay for the higher tier support. I've only had 1 store app update so far in the last 4 years on my 2018 model because my TV is no longer tested in the normal updates with the others. An app update is already in the queue Some apps are more complicated and will take more time to test. The Emby app will be in the same category and tested by the same people who test Netflix, Disney+, etc. Sometimes the app gets kicked back for changes. You can't do an app update and add regions/countries supported at the same time. For instance, when Emby adds South Korea to the supported countries all app testing will stop for that app. Each year and model group of TV models is tested separately. For instance, a 2025 Premium, Standard, and Basic model is tested (sometimes by different people) and can be held back for different reasons. This is why you will sometimes see someone say their model has the update and others even within the same year don't see the update yet. Holidays Anyhow, we'll have to wait and see if Luke wants to get into the weeds on why your TV doesn't have the new app yet. Just wanted to convey it's not always a simple comparison.

Hallo zusammen, Ich habe in diesem Forum sehr viel gelesen und gestöbert. Dabei habe ich herausgefunden, dass ich auch über DDNS Proxy VPN und so weiter Möglichkeiten habe. Ich habe in meinem Router nach DYNDNS geschaut und dieser unterstützt ein paar davon. Ich entschied mich für noip und habe mich dort angemeldet und diese Daten in meinem Router gespeichert. Nun muss ich mal ein zwei Tage probieren ob das funktioniert ?! Ich melde mich dan wieder LG Alex

We've had a lot of issue with Opus audio with mixed results, so we removed the support for Direct Playing opus audio. This should be causing an audio conversion and HLS streaming, but the avi video format needs to be converted as it's not supported in HLS streaming, so it's falling back to a full transcode. It also looks like there are issues converting the video format which is probably causing the quality issues. Can you try disabling Hardware acceleration/decoders and test with software conversion? Since you are already doing a conversion when you download, could you try also transcoding the audio to aac at the same time?

It'd be great if server admins could generate a QR code for a user to scan with their app to connect to a server, without using EmbyConnect.

Ya he solucionado lo del HDR, he cambiado en el Android Tv box, en configuracion de pantalla, busque Dolby Vision establecido, y he cambiado sink por dispositivo, por source por dispositivo. Y he probado lo que me ha dicho Parpatrus(gracias por tu ayuda), he comentado lo de la memoria ram, porque ahora no va en "dual channel", pero no creo que sea eso el problema, he echo esto, he desactivado la transcodificacion, de audio y del video, y de del video me ha funcionado, pero con el audio me ha dado cuenta, que cuando no es compatible lo transcodifica, y parece que el "TrueHD 7.1"parece que no funciona, pero quiero que me salga en "e-ac3", pero solo consigo en "ac3", en mi android tv box, lo tengo colocado el "passthrough", y he cambiado a "pcm" y en usas formatos que indica el dispositivo, y sigue haciendo el "ac3", y tambien he cambiado en la configuracion de reproduccion de emby, en salida de audio, he escogido "convierta audio no compatible a dolby digital". Gracias Parpatrus, me gusta lo que has comentado, pero tengo que ir al curro en poco tambien, cuando salga lo leeré tranquilamente y hare lo de la transcodificacion, para no usar eso le digo a mis clientes, que son mi madre mi tio y un amigo para que me ayude con esto, para que me ponga "reproducion directa" les digo que los ponga a 200mbps 4k, y el equipo tengo un i7 14700k, y una rtx 570ti, y de ram tenia 24x2(48gb) a 7600mhz, y se la envie a corsair, y me han mentido en la cara, haciendo un rma, me la han devuelto la pasta porque dicen que ya no tienen, y me aseguraron que me iban a devolver la misma sin el fallo, y estoy con un modulo solo de 16gb a 6000mhz, asique seguiré con estos 16gb de ram, hasta que me pueda comprar a buen precio, que sera sobre un año.
