  1. TheTVDB now supports more alternative orders than just Aired/Absolute/DVD. Can Emby query these additional orders and add them as options? Two examples of shows I've seen this used are Re:Zero which has a "Director's Cut" display order and Money Heist which has a "Netflix" order. https://thetvdb.com/series/re-zero-starting-life-in-another-world https://thetvdb.com/series/la-casa-de-papel

  2. So SmartViews are now in beta - with some great traction. User selectable rows are now possible - which great BUT there still is no easy way to convert a Playlist item into a Watch List but I'm hoping that is next. Infact, I'll raise on the HomeScreen thread to bump it. edit - Infact there is - it's already been implemented which I must have missed. You can show a row as a Single Playlist - thus repurposing a 'Playlist' as a watchlist has become a reality. The only thing missing is the ability to add a TV Series/Shows as opposed to individual episoses. I'll raise this instead.. but we are well on the way ! edit - raised here -

  3. Major release - Version 2.0.0.0. Download .dll here: https://github.com/soderlund91/AutoTag/releases/tag/v2.0.0.0 Been home sick today and got time to work on creating collections with this plugin. Since this is a major feature, I'm releasing v2.0! New Features Collection managemet Automated Collection Management: The plugin can now automatically create and maintain Emby Collections directly from your lists. Smart Cleanup: Collections that are disabled, removed from configuration, or whose schedule has expired are automatically deleted. Fail-Safe Security: Introduced a safety lock that prevents the deletion of collections/tags if external API calls (Trakt/MDBList) fail. Only Collection Mode: A mode that allows you to build collections without applying tags to individual movies/series. Real-time UI: The interface now updates instantly with visual "badges" (icons) for active schedules and collections. Backup & Restore: Easily export and import your entire configuration via JSON files. Improvements & Fixes UI: Settings are organized into tabs (Source, Schedule, Collection, Advanced) for better navigation. The interface now also updates instantly with visual "badges" (icons) for active schedules and collections. Some other smaller UI fixes. Performance: Now calculates the difference (diff) for tags and collections, only performing necessary database updates to improve speed and reduce server load. Before all tags where removed and re-written. This saves a lot of I/O. Logging: Redesigned log output providing a clear summary in standard mode and detailed diff info in extended log mode.

  4. The latest can be found here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases Note: You may want to have a moderator remove your WAN IP Address.

  5. Possibly you just haven't found the right place to adjust it yet. For instance, if your media or settings are such that your audio is being transcoded, there is a volume setting for that. Note that if the media is direct playing, Emby is passing on the bitstream unchanged - in which case the issue is in your equipment's handling of that bitstream. If other people are not having the same problem with similar setups, shouting won't help them suggest where your problem might be. Paul

  6. I experienced the same. Using the standard Android version, trailers work on my nVidia Shield.

  7. It would be helpful if there is a documented way to revert to the previous version. This has been down for 4 days.

  8. Hi, more options to control this are certainly possible. Thanks.

  9. .ass subtitles require an OBSCENE amount of power to render properly. Zero boxes can handle them when they start to get fancy. And by zero I mean not even the almighty Apple TV can even handle rendering .ass subs, specially if they are styled like so many anime fansub groups love to do to them. If you want them to be rendered properly, you are going to have to either burn them in server side, or switch to watching on a computer. This is not something the Emby dev team can fix, specially on the potato devices that are used for streaming. And I hate to say it, but the chipset in your box is ancient (almost 7 years old), and massively underpowered for the task you are "demanding" it perform for you. An Intel N100 system will wipe the floor with it completely and will handle .ass subs without breaking a sweat. With the current updates to Windows 11, it should also playback HDR and DV content IF your tv set supports it. I know this is not what you want to read, but that is the sad reality of things. Upgrade your hardware or change your viewing habits.

  10. I disagree. That is very exclusive! I don’t think anyone should be forced to post in English if they aren’t fluent in it, as that could make their explanation incomprehensible to most people. (Emby includes many localizations.) If you don’t like this, don’t read it or install a translator like the rest of us do.

  11. Check the DLL's permissions and owner; it needs Read & eXecute enabled for Emby. Edit: as maOS is linux based

  12. I have no clue what this is about. my understanding is that the language of this forum is English, so would be nice if all user adhere to this for inclusivity.

  14. Friend, regarding using Pt-br in the external subtitle file, I don't know if it influences the Emby system defect. The problem occurs when the subtitle is embedded, even in cases where Portuguese (Brazil) is specified. Every video with an external SRT subtitle file reads the subtitle correctly. I tried using the program you mentioned, but it extracts the subtitle and inserts _track4 in the file name, and Emby doesn't recognize it. I would have to rename each extracted subtitle, and that's impractical. The problem isn't with the files themselves; it's an update error. I've been using Emby for years, and only now has this subtitle error occurred, which is causing significant problems. I'll wait for the technicians to fix this or at least revert the LG TV's Emby to the previous version, without this error. Imagine having to rename each subtitle for a series like Grey's Anatomy, which has 22 seasons. I'll wait for the system to be fixed or for them to revert to the previous version without this defect.

  15. Works perfect on my laptop with Debian 13 Trixie and Nvidia proprietary drivers Tested with build 295. Side note: platform code reports Intel for gpu while it's nvidia that is loaded as confirmed by the NVidia utility...

  21. @Luke Mine was the same today. I had upgraded from macOS 26.3 Beta to 26.3 (stable) a few days ago. This was my first re-start of the Emby server since the MacOs update. I had re-started the Mac Mini without shutting Emby down first when the config folder switch happened. Emby version v4.9.30 My old config files were in: /Users/<user>/emby-server After the reboot, the config files were then expected to be in /Users/<user>/.config/emby-server/ As per the prior post, after i went through the new setup wizard just setting a dummy username and 0 libraries , quit emby at the initial login prompt, copied the files over to the new destination and re-started Emby Server and everything was restored.

  22. It sounds like it, but that's up to you. Once you change it just run a library scan.

  23. I have the G5. I ditched all of my dts sound tracks and converted just the audio to 640kbps ac3 (Dolby Digital). Others got upgraded to Dolby Digital Plus from different copies, and 4k is mostly Dolby Atmos. Now have no audio issues. I stick to these formats, as well as AAC for standard stereo (mostly TV content). This also worked better with Apple TV too. I try to have stuff Direct Play which is why I stick to these formats. DTS is a dying format and will go once the streamers kill off physical discs. LG also doesn't like TrueHD either. All the movies that were released in DTS are on streaming platforms using Dolby Digital Plus now, and some with Dolby Atmos added. You can't currently encode Dolby Atmos yourself, as the original metadata is required, which typically the content creator has. Atmos on blurays is wrapped inside TrueHD.

  24. I don't know about the OP, but I would rather just have the separate Shows tab and Movies tab. No combined tab.

  26. It is not pointless at all. ffmpeg is a poor audio conversion utility - there are far better utilities to convert audio. Some formats ffmpeg can't convert to at all - such as to DTS or 7.1 AAC for example. So yes, the Emby transcoding process via ffmpeg will get you 'audio', but currently it's low bitrate poor(ish) quality 5.1 AC3 at best.

  29. Careful... I see what you are doing... Saying you have been focusing on making live tv better, and more live tv updates are coming.. Thanks.. But your comment sounds like "Nope, I don't care about this thing that is important to you, but check out all of the other cool stuff I made time for that I do care about in 4.6" I know that's not what you mean.. but sounds like it a little...

  30. Hey I just recently set up a emby server, I got a decent amount of stuff on it already and was wondering if some people would like to take a look and possibly use? Update: Hey everyone just a reminder that this is a new server and has a limited storage, I plan on upgrading this at some point but till then I plan on rotating out media that is not as popular as some stuff every coupe of weeks. Let me know if there are any things different that I can do to improve UI or speed. Send me movies and TV shows! Lots of TV shows!
