  1. Having the same issue. Interestingly if you change the download location from internal storage to a local directory, you can see the download files. The app still does not show them but I can use VLC on the iPad to view the downloads. Not great but better than nothing.

  3. Good call. I will experiment with that tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate it!

  4. Since the new update on iPhone to version 2.2.45 when I start download the download reaches the end and starts again. Keep this in looping and never download and never end. Always in looping. Goes to end and restarts. Goes to end and restarts. I’m using beta version of windows server 4.9.2.6. But it was from the 2.2.45 update for iOS because I was on that version of server and everything worked fine. It’s easy to reproduce this error so hope you get it fix. Thanks.

  5. It is really cool that Emby has the ability to support multiple versions of the same movie. It would be nice to have a setting on the client side to allow the user to set which version should be selected by default. This could be as simple a user-entered string, or it could be a list of detected strings to choose from. It could allow multiple entries and it would choose them in the order entered. On the Kodi side, it would also be nice to get the "Choose the Best Version for Me" option that the Emby app has.

  6. I ran into a similar issue with multi movies in the same folder. What I noticed was the folder needed to be spelled the exact same way as the movie, same punctuation as well as upper/lower case, i.e. Drive\Name of Movie Name of Movie - 1080 Name of Movie - 720 Name of Movie - 4K This would give a drop down of 1080, 720, 4K Try removing the {tt0047296} from the folder name and add (1954) to each movie file name as well.

  8. Some of my movies have multiple versions, such as Director's Cuts vs Extended vs Theatrical. It would be nice to set a Default version that will selected for all users, unless they change it otherwise. It would probably have to be per movie or show, since each may have different types of versions, but maybe selecting the version will also provide a prompt if you are an admin, such as "set for all users?" or something similar. The reasoning behind this is that some of my users aren't too tech savvy, and they may just search for a movie (or find it while browsing), and not know the multiple versions exist / are selectable.

  10. An app from an independent developer, called Multview, is now doing this for live antenna television channels on Android and Apple boxes. It works with HDHomeRun tuners for 2-4 screens (can toggle among them for full screen too). On the Apple player the app will even incorporate Plex streaming channels (if you have that); that is coming shortly to Android players. In the best world, it would be nice to see this within the Emby environment - even perhaps showing multiple Emby screens not just Live TV. Android Apple

  11. Perhaps it’s a bit “harse “‘for me to say no love at all. Reading the things above sure it’s a lot of improvement, probably not the things I need/use so the might go on noticed for me. My apologies for making that previous statement. I assume you are one of the devs, can I ask you something about a icon?

  12. This is common practise. Even on the MS Store, versions can be weeks or months behind the developers’ own website. Vetting processes and just slow approvals by stores like Synology’s will always mean updates are often outdated compared to the primary source.

  15. Yes, that was the plugin, named "Trailers". If I remember it correctly, only the setting "Movie Trailer Archive" was enabled.

  16. Just like one could put Season 3 for 2026 and Season 4 for 2028 per IMDB. But almost all missing air_dates will be Upcoming/Future. But yes the best bet would protentially ignore/exclude this partial api info.

  18. Just to add, I am experiencing this since the latest update as well. They aren't minutes long but much longer than before. Sometimes 5 to 10 seconds for anything to show up. Edit: as an example, if I search the word groove. Then the movie emperor's new groove shows up in 1 second. If I search new groove, it takes 7 seconds until anything shows up.

  19. If not using Backup & Restore plugin and not saving artwork/NFOs with media, you can somewhat future-proof your setup with MetaExtractor plugin for potential future similar occurrences (or any other issues, either caused by server update or any other db corruption) and run it on a schedule.

  20. The update was manually downloaded and installed using the binary from the emby.media site.

  22. Found the problem, i compiled it as a debug version and not release version so all the debug messages are shown. Should be working now without the messages. Edit: To anyone reading this, i'm am not the developer or maintainer of this plugin. I just ran it through an AI to fix it, nothing more. SmartPlaylist.dll

  23. Hello Emby Team, Adding to this thread to voice that i would like this potions I’d like to request a new feature: Multi-room synchronized playback — the ability to play the same movie or TV show across multiple Emby devices in the same house, all perfectly in sync. Why This Feature Matters During Christmas, holidays, birthdays, parties, and family events, many of us want the same movie, music video, or background visuals playing on every TV in the home. Right now, there is no simple way to sync playback across multiple Emby clients inside the same household. What This Feature Would Do Choose a video Select multiple Emby devices in the house All screens play the same content at the same time Sync stays tight if the host pauses, plays, or seeks Why Emby Is Perfect for This Emby already supports remote control and Watch Together. Expanding this to local multi-room playback would be an amazing upgrade and a feature no other media server (except Apple TV via AirPlay) can currently offer. Thanks for considering this — it would be incredibly useful for holidays and gatherings.

  24. I’ve noticed this with Shield Pro as well. Both Shield and server are connected with cables, same LAN, no WAN, no Wi-Fi, Direct Play. For me rewinding back a bit or exiting the playback and then opening the same video again fixes the stuttering. Also, it does not happen every time. Weird issue.

  25. Okay, thank you! Changing the db cache size appears to have resolved the issue with Emby not working locally. Still couldn't connect remotely, though. Then installing the latest build seems to have resolved the issue with remote connections. I'll try to using ssl next.

  26. +1 because some countries make so many local movies it's worth it to make playlists or collections or even libraries for them.

  27. THAT'S what I was forgetting! I have 91 collections that I lost the images and was dreading selecting each one and refresh metadata for missing items. Thank you for the reminder!

  28. Please excuse the delayed response. I noticed that the ‘Trailer’ plugin was causing the problems, so I uninstalled it. Now the films and series are running again without any error messages being displayed.

  29. I had the same issue moving media around and struggling to get media from tmdb refreshed To troubleshoot I installed tinymediamanager ... metadata and art was grabbing without any issues, so I started storing nfo's and art to my folders so I could change emby to read from my local drives ... started a full emby scan to regrab and read nfo locally but still fetch artwork from tmdb through emby ...that's where I noticed all the timeouts in the log. Changed my modem to ipv4 and the timeouts stopped. ipv6 works with tmm to tmdb ipv6 does not work with emby to tmdb

  30. Everything seems to be working again, at least on my end. Not sure for user WhiteStig though. I haven't touched anything, and I checked to make sure no scheduled tasks were clogging things up earlier. Looks like Emby did something 'under the hood' to fix itself over night.

  31. I just wanted to say that I recently tried the Emby Client on Ubuntu 24.04 using the .deb package and I ran into the same issue. As pointed out in the last post, using the Snap version works.

  32. @sa2000Hey, so I found a 100MB file that is seemingly having the same issue, but it can actually open in notepad++ easily.... its the Title and the originalTitle lines. They're duplicated over and over and over...and over.. I'll attach that one since it should be easier to debug a smaller/more usable file. This would make sense on the large db file now....since it is reading the title of the show/movie and putting it into the db table for search records. Paw Patrol S01E39-E40.zip

  33. Hi Luke, psyc_psyc I witnessed the same issue, but have recently witnessed it seems to be a behavior change between Firefox 144 and Firefox 145, and it only impacts some files - laptop was running FF 145: unable to load a video, but in some cases, sound does play after some time, but with a black screen. - desktop, FF 144, no issues running the same video - desktop, updated to FF 145, no longer able to get the video, black screen, same as laptop. Chromium + Google Chrome both works fine

  36. I'd really like it if trailers would play in the background while flicking through the menu. I often determine what I might like to watch by watching the trailers that auto-play when using Netflix. I guess this is not a very hot request, it's been sitting for 2.5 years and only 3 comments from years ago...

  37. for Emby not to have a trial for Premiere absolutely sucks. Seems liek Emby is hiding something or is not confident in their product. If you are so proud of your product and services, then you would offer at least 24 or 48 hours trial on premiere so people can see what you have on offer.

  38. Hey there, Not sure how much demand there would be for this but something I noticed scrolling through Netflix last night was how many of the videos I have in my library are now on Netflix / Prime...it made me think as I now access Emby through devices that have access to Netflix / Prime I should be able to remove the movies physically from the server and instead link through from my Emby library on certain devices. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but for me it makes sense to only hold the movies that I need to on physical disc taking up space and for the others to link through to the appropriate store if I have a subscription. Meaning I have one central Emby repo for all my links, whether that link is to a local share hosting the media locally or to an online repository such as Netflix / Prime. Clearly this is a little niche but is probably where we are all going at somepoint in the future... There would be a lot to work out in the logic of it I'm guessing and is probably based mainly on the client side with an "emtpy" move / tv holder being placed on the server to be ignored by clients that are told they don't have access to the streaming service. Thoughts appreciated on whether this is a stupid idea or one that makes sense? I know I can setup watchlist and in turn I can and do use the PlayOn Channel which gives me the option to view those streams, but it would be slick if they were natively in my library as is now Cheers mini
