Very happy paying user of Emby universal app, mainly on my Nvidia Shields, pretty much the only thing that frustrate me is the placing of the director at the very end of the list of actors. Putting it a bit on the edge is that extras are more important to show before the director. As said by others, every other movie app or site have the director easily visible so it can be selected showing other movies directed by the same person. And Emby is not consistent among the platforms as on the Windows server and on the mobile app the director is a separate entity which is selectable. It would be good if this can be picked up again.

Could you allow users to customize the order of movies in collections instead of only having it by alphabetical or by release date? Example: I want to have a collection of Batman movies, both animated and motion pictures but want the motion pictures together followed by all the animated ones. With the current order options, this isn't possible. Thanks!

At the moment once themes finish, silence ensues. I'd rather have the theme start playing again. It also doesn't play after the film/show, I don't think? I love having it, it approximates the mood-setting of a DVD or Blu-ray menu, and avoids horrible silences, but it shuts off too much.

Playing audiobooks or long files will be considered "played" if stopped during the last hour or so. Even with the Library's "Max resume percentage" se to maximum percentage: 100. For long audiobooks, this can be a significant portion of the ending, even an hour, which is inconvenient. Maybe there is a miscalculation when accounting the timecode for this? Hi sa2000, My nas stays online 24/7 and it has an static hardcoded ip on it. I am now monitoring that interface 24/7 and see what will happen. In between my proxmox\emby, there's a switch and i don't see anything in the logs that tells me if my nas or port went down. It seems like everything was online when Emby scanned the libraries. Emby deleted 300 entries, that was when i turned it off. I've put the emails and Discord notifications when a media is deleted\removed so when i saw that, i turned off Emby and recover my DB with Proxmox Backup Server and put everything back in place. It has happened like 3 times over the past week or so. Anyway i'll keep you posted since anything else in my network seems to have any problems. Thank you!

Hmm yeah, maybe i should add something that says why that is. It grays that out because with lite mode enabled the option is automatically on, else there would just be a check for "yes lite mode on" but nothing for it to do. Anyway, nice to see it's working for you!

Hi, in the libraries' filter options it is possible to show every single rating. But it isn't possible to say: "Show my only content without any rating!" Without this option I'm forced to search manually for missing ratings and this is ... time intensive! So it would be very nice to implement this additional filter! Thanks a lot!

Some correction to my last post: The database repaire gave me a total wired result. the order in the "started movies" widget was compared to emby and the other clients totaly wrong, Also almost all movies in kodi favorites was wrong, most of them are not even emby favorites. Dropping and readding movies did it...maybe there is also some quirk in the database repair option... All on Kodi 21.2 / Coreelec / ODroid N2+

'Scale and Layout' in Windows System > Display was at 125%; set it to 100% and screen is back as it was. How I managed to change that setting without noticing I don't know - but thanks for the solution!

Hi, So I spent the weekend manually creating +-100 collections. It was somewhat tedious and I pretty much had to use the same MovieDB naming convention to automate the metadata and images. For some of my unique collections and custom images the edit function with drag and drop works great. In the end I now have things working as before. I really like that it auto defaults to sorting by year.... that was a welcome bonus. I can see the appeal of creating collections this way. I will still probably continue to make collection folders but that it is more for my data storage and tracking needs.

Emby Beta 4.9.1.14, E4K 12.1.2 "Re"-synching Kodi favorits (by switching the option "sync emby favorits with kodi favorits" OFF, then ON again) with emby favorits works only correct for tv-shows, but not for movies. TV-Shows will resyc, but movies will either not again added to favorites.xml, or only 1-2 movies. Marking a new movie in emby as favorit the client will sync it in time with the favorite.xml. Starting a database repair for the movie database the favoites will be repopulate (almost) correctly.

Check your zoom settings on the browser. CTRL-Mouse Wheel up/down and see if that helps. Firefox at 100% produces this, Firefox at 90% wraps the rows down.

I like to have complete albums but sometimes I really dislike some of its tracks at the first listen. I'd like for them not to appear in the playlist, wether it's from Play All button on the album page or the whole music library Shuffle button, but be able to play them manually (by clicking on it or adding it the to playlist myself). Just like knowing it's here and that I can give it a new try sometimes What do you think?

Hi @quickmic Emby stable 4.8.11.0, Kodi 21.2, E4K 12.1.2, TvTunes 2.1.1, Estuary MOD V2 21.2.1 Theme media playback has not been working for me with the E4K 12.x series, it worked fine with E4K 11.x. A kodi DB reset was done when upgrading to 12.x. Themes are enabled in "remote" mode. Debug log attached, timestamp 2025-08-02 16:27:09.409 should be where the theme playback attempt begins. Theme playback is good in other clients (web, Roku). If I can provide any other info just let me know. Thanks again! kodi.log
