  2. The idea is that I would like to mirror YouTube videos I am intending to watch in emby. Pretty straightforward using nfo files. Would be perfect if I could add strm files or other with the URL to YouTube itself - causing the tv to open that URL in the associated app itself. Just using YouTube itself is of course an option but I have a large library of videos/subscriptions to watch and YouTube organises itself poorly.

  3. @feerlessleadr @Arthessia @Pankookis I added a time limit to playback for specified users to a Plugin i made (was easier and faster than making a new one). You can try it if you want. Besides the normal settings the plugin had it has, what users should have a limit, what that limit should be in minutes and when it should reset. A reset of the server currently resets the limit, will look into make it persist after a reset if the feature has any interest. TranscodeNotifier.dll

  4. Fixed! I went into trakt and deleted my emby connection there, then I reauthorized as a user on - emby connect this time, instead of through user settings on the server, seems to be working fine now.

  5. Many thanks for your help. Been a few hours looking at all the permissions as it seemed to be ad-hoc with permission denied files. That said I have removed permissions and then gave them back and so far so good.

  6. I will see if i can add something like that but you should be able to just up the timer for now.

  7. In IPv6 they are the same - no NAT is involved. Your WAN allocation is the whole /56; your Emby computer will use one or maybe several addresses in that block, as well as a link-local address which is not routable. The IPv6 address is chosen automagically; I'm not sure how stable it will be, so I give my machines static IPv6 addresses (which I suppose may be against the spirit of things, but seems a good idea for a server). (A /56 is also a common allocation, and is ample; after all, a /96 is as many addresses as the whole of IPv4...) Paul

  10. 4.8.11.0 local Web app In main library view (either Movies or TV shows-type library), table header is displayed properly and scaled if additional columns added/removed. However, in Studio detail tab, header gets offset to the right: Also, in all views, there are scrollbar Up and Down arrows present on the screen even though there's no scroller/nothing to scroll. Edit: Upon further investigation, that offset appears to be pinned sidebar width allowance: Once sidebar is hidden, header does not move but remains locked in position while item rows underneath shift to the left:

  11. Like item detail tab: click on any studio - tab that it leads to. Is Studio view better term?

  12. No I didn't fix it in the end, I ended up getting a whole new TV instead.

  13. There is now a SportsDb plugin in the Emby plugin catalog. It works with the TV content type and file naming based on the recommended file names on the SportsDb event pages. In other words, click on an event and at the bottom you will see suggested file names. I believe the entire file name gets sent to SportsDb for the lookup, which means you'll need to strictly follow these conventions or it will be unlikely to match. Enjoy.

  14. You will not be able to use "stop" or "pause" on the web interface if this is playing remotely. Roku actively blocks the external control port on all remote sources as a security measure. Only devices on the LAN may connect to the Roku using the external control protocol. https://developer.roku.com/docs/specs/hardware.md Unfortunately, older Roku devices such as the Roku 2/3 and others while still supported by Roku with recent firmware updates do not have hardware support for HEVC decode. This makes those devices incapable of ever being able to play HEVC directly. For a much better experience that person should invest in a new Roku express/stick. That is the only way to fix it.

  16. @Riezelit is on our to do list to have a flag to allow you to use the drivers on your system. We will also have a new ffmpeg build on the server beta channel in the near future, so stay tuned for that.

  20. There is an "access schedule" option in the user section. While it doesn't have a limit it does restrict viewing to certain times of the day.

  22. I know Samsung was having issues with their servers which affected a lot of apps (Prime, YouTube, etc), but no updates on my end.

  23. Thanks @LukeI installed Emby for Android and it is working great. I can see the sorting option. But what is the difference between Emby for Android and Emby for Android TV? What I had was Emby for Android TV.

  24. Samsung have pushed a hotfix update. To recover you need to restart the TV by power cycle. Pull the power cable for 5sec or hold the power button for 5-7 second so the TV restarts (reboot).

  26. The issue is escalating on Samsung Community Forum, X, Reddit and Downdetector. So it’s for sure a wide hitting issue. Wow.

  28. The next up stuff is working well for the stuff I have named accordingly. I think the deletion of the tvshow.nfo was key here for making these fall back to 'movies'. It would be nice to right click on a folder and remove the identification of a tv series -- essentially deleting that tvshow.nfo file. Having to manually find and delete that did not feel great. So far it is stable so I will keep adding a few items and make sure this sticks. This allows me to have a folder with loose files that aren't set as a series, and folders that I then use TV Series naming that do mark as series -- as desired.

  29. Well TV Naming is important.

  30. I would also say I'm in for paying a fee for this, my collection has gotten absurdly large and I just started scraping with tinymediamanager to create NFO files for the metadata, its going to take forever. The plugin was working great up until it was disabled, no real complaints about it.

  34. Just install the new HDD (internal preferred but a USB drive should work also). Then create your directories. Next go to Settings-->Emby Server-->Library and edit each library by adding the new folder(s) to the appropriate lib and emby will scan them as if they are one (and any new files added there in the future will be scanned in just like old HDD.

  35. Testing on Emby server version: 4.8.31.0 Android client version: 3.4.20 'old low specification phone' 70,000 Songs I Cant reproduce. Can reproduce. On a purely abstract 'technical' level i guess your right/i agree... the expectation would be to shuffle the objects in view..not the members of the objects in view. The Web Client at least already supports shuffling the queue so shuffling the members after the fact is already possible.....lending weight to your suggestion that in the first instance the objects in view should be shuffled not the members.

  36. I just now happened to be looking at the Bruce Springsteen official website.... https://brucespringsteen.net/ Interestingly and coincidently, this also uses very similar (and practical) Album Release Types to those previously mentioned: Additionally, this also highlights that Group By Decade would also be a very nice addition for Albums within Emby!!!

  37. It has come to our attention that someone (we believe out of China) is spoofing our purchase page and reselling bogus Premiere keys. Please be aware that the only valid locations to purchase Premiere are our web site (https://emby.media/premiere) or inside one of our official apps. The scammers are using the domain "Emby.team" and are spoofing credit card receipts that look like they come from us and everything. If you happen to have fallen for one of these scams report it to your credit card company and please let us know at billingsupport@emby.media. I'm afraid we cannot do anything to help return your money but we can try to squash the perpetrators. Thanks. View the full article
