It's something with my Internet I've come to find. Not sure why but with my WiFi enabled trailers don't work. When I toggle it off it allows trailers. When on I get the bot verification. I don't believe this is anything on the Emby side most likely.2 points

I honestly don’t know of any macOS GUI apps that would reliably embed the metadata for you (either automatically or manually)… I know like MediaMonkey could do that but it’s Audio only, not Movies/Shows (and I think you have to pay for MM premium for it as well) I just got home today from being in the hospital for 6 days but if I’m feeling up to it and remember I can take a look tonight or tomorrow to see if I come up with something. I know tinyMediaManager (free or Pro) can help you gather the Images that Emby uses and you can use it to write NFO files (how I do it) but I don’t think that can embed the info into the file directly and relies on the NFO, JPG, PNG files…2 points

Just to be clear, if you click on Redline in the folder view, do you get to see the movie file (may require two clicks, depending on a setting) or not? Have you checked the access rights on the individual files concerned? Paul1 point

I know this was originally supposed to be a feature added in the 4.8 release but it didn't end up making it. Do we have any updates or an ETA on when this? Would love to be able to host my server on my mac.1 point

Awesome, this was a message from 10 years ago! Actually pretty cool that you kept it on your radar and got back to me after all that time. I'll check it out and report back.1 point

That's your prerogative, but it's crazy to expect a native package for every single distro out there. It is much easier for developers to use distro agnostic packaging format for Linux, especially when Flatpak containerizes the apps themselves to stop any major privilege escalation attacks. Does it stop all kinds of attack? No. But neither does any native packaging format. Now we can start a flame war about why Flatpak is bad, but I don't think that contributes anything to this discussion.1 point

Hey @Luke, thanks for getting back to me! I have already seen that post, but at this point it's almost a year old, and the tester application has been closed too without any alpha or beta release; which is why I opened this thread.1 point

Absolutely! The sending / reporting of episodes is great! I wish the default Metadata Manager that that integrated as well, but then again I'd like a general messaging system for all web/app platforms as well to notify users of new episodes but also to notify system administrators of missing content or when users receive system errors.1 point

No worries @Lukemy ARC B580 is back in the box and perfectly fits on my shelf as a book end, it's been working perfectly since February.1 point

I can't believe I missed that. For event https://www.thesportsdb.com/event/2250315-eisbären-berlin-vs-kolner examples of filesnames are: 1) German DEL 2025-04-25 Eisbären Berlin vs Kolner.mkv 2) German DEL 2025-04-25 Eisbären Berlin vs Kolner.S2024-2025E200.mkv 3) German DEL 20250425 Eisbären Berlin vs Kolner.special One thing that I personally don't like, is the sudden use of numerics in this format. My personal preference would be the second option because this is the format the "looks" like the tv show formatting most: 2) German DEL 2025-04-25 Eisbären Berlin vs Kolner.S2024-2025E200.mkv However the above formatting still seems very strange to me. Being more like the TV show formatting does feel more natural and intuitive (at least in my opinion): Seasonname ({seasondate}) - s{seasonyear}e{episode} - {home} vs {out} Or in other words: German DEL (2025-04-25) - s2024-2025e200 - Eisbaren Berlin vs Kolner This also makes the formatting hierarchy a little more sensible since each step in the file name represents a step, just like tv-show formats do: X:\Media\Sports\German DEL\German DEL (2025-04-25)\German DEL (2025-04-25) - s2024-2025e200 - Eisbaren Berlin vs Kolner.mkv1 point

The database is over 300 GB currently. One solution would be to alter the plugin to work as invite only, but I am still obligated to check ages using the standard they require. Paypal users have to be minimum 18 years old so that's a possibility, make a small contribution via that, as that would be a way to verify the age. I don't have time at the moment to sort this out this month, but it's a possibility.1 point

Doing a refactor of this as a proper server plugin. Will be a while till I have time to get it done but, stay tuned!1 point

Since Emby can trigger external readers, it would be great if there were a way to see non-music files in a directory (under folder view?) and have the ability to open them using the appropriate external reader if installed on the client device. Examples: ability to open and view detailed cover scan .jpgs or .pdfs, track list .txt files, etc.1 point
