  1. Fore warning: You CANNOT revert from the beta to stable until a new major stable release, which only happens once a blue moon. Backup your server data for if/when you decide to go back to stable or you will have to start from scratch.

  2. Could we add a function of "Actor Management"? It should allow browsing all actors by their first letter and managing their corresponding information. Also, it should enable viewing all the movies an actor has participated in here.

  3. Having just lost all of my previous Introskip data from the old Plugin due to a corrupt db, needing me to create a new TV library (subsequently needing hours/days worth of re-detection using the Core Introskip) - would it be possible to include the Introskip 'hidden' chapter markers in the standard metadata/nfo emby processes ? ie 1. Save the Introskip MarkerType=IntroStart,EndEnd and CreditStart in the episode NFO file. 2. On a episode/show/library import - just read the NFO as you do now, and if the data is present, then use that in the Chapter Table instead of re-detecting it. 3. Ideally allow us to see/edit that data in the standard metadata editor for that episode, but the main concern is the ability to recreate it without the need for the emby db/chapter table / ItemId dependency. Thanks.

  5. I think it's more that your boot drive has such a low write endurance that you might have capped it. I would use crystaldiskinfo to see what your TBW is at. I do a LOT and as such my boot drive on my main rig gets hit hard as I cache to my OS drive to keep up performance. My UD90 has a TBW of 600TB, so in 2 years I've just hit a third of my endurance. This is on my daily driver, not my encode server.

  6. Thanks Luke, I'll give that a go.

  7. But that will have absolutely nothing to do with Emby as provider sites control their api access and sometimes as mentioned VPN users abuse the system and they fight back by blacklisting said IP address/ranges. So yes all the TMDB queries will slow down the scan process. Technically every provider enabled can/will. Does TMDB work without your VPN?

  8. You just install the beta server by following the instructions on our website.

  10. While I know this I've been doing it for over 5 years on my boot drive and most likely why it's failing. I'll keep the db on the boot drive and move the transcoding to the secondary m.2 drive. Thank you for the reminder!

  11. I'm also going to voice my support for this since I also prefer to keep all supporting files in media folders as well. I also have several emby instances pointing at those folders (only one of which has write permissions to update metadata, images, etc.) I'm actually generating preview images after not having them for a while. I'm realizing the situation is still messy with any emby generated detection or chapter data and images. It's far from portable as it is right now. Ideally we should have a way to store all of this information next to the media considering how valuable it is. It should be easy to reimport in the event of a fresh server reinstall.

  15. In the one posted above your last post (2 above this one) build 1.0.0.175 I already knew how to do the updating, so I just added it in because it seemed as if it was something you guys wanted based on your last few posts about triggering scripts to update. only the file output writing is new and a couple of log entries at the start of the log, I don't know why its running slower on @jaspalgillsetup than it was before, if anything it should be a little faster as it starts writing earlier than it did before and the write tasks fire off on different threads and are not waited for completion before triggering the next. 10.May.2025 - 00:27:29 Write TVShow strms: True 10.May.2025 - 00:27:29 Write Movie strms: True 10.May.2025 - 00:27:29 Write LiveTV strms: False These are at the top of the log, so I could see if @sundevil67 had no output selected or was misunderstanding something in the config.

  16. I have added this into the plugin - it needs an api-key though, even running it from the server itself. Scanning All libraries triggers the progressbar in the dashboard - triggers a library refresh the same as goig3d does with the curl command But scanning the single path does not - triggers a library update (path only) 2025-05-10 00:06:21.277 Info Server: http/1.1 Response 204 to ‌::1‌. Time: 2ms. POST http://‌localhost‌:8096/emby/Library/Media/Updated?api_key=‌xxxxxxxxx with a post body This will only updated the path if the path is an Emby Library! Also note this will store the Api Key in plain text in your config files, so be careful about posting them. (not in the log though) This is what it will write to the log, so that is safe from being exposed in there. 09.May.2025 - 23:52:43 Finished this import. 09.May.2025 - 23:52:43 Task Ended at: 09/05/2025 23:52:43 09.May.2025 - 23:52:43 Task Duration: 00:00:01.60 09.May.2025 - 23:52:44 Triggering Full Library Scan Update 09.May.2025 - 23:52:44 Library refresh triggered successfully! 09.May.2025 - 23:52:44 Task completed. 09.May.2025 - 23:52:44 CreateMovieStrmsFromM3UTaskStarter method completed. 09.May.2025 - 23:52:44 Finished. 17. Turns out that Emby is not the cause, it is the web browser Librewolf not reporting the correct time - this has to do with the Resist Fingerprinting feature. I worked around this issue by installing the Spoof Timezone extension, in case anyone else comes across this issue.

  18. I was pointed to this thread, so I will make an attempt here. Under the movie section, I now know "date last played" is listed as an ability under the Table view. However, like the above mentioned reasons, I request from the Devs to add a "date last played" to some of the other views, in particular, the Primary view (or the Thumb view). Having the Table view up on the TV is not very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Here is an example from my Plex, which I am attempting to switch from. Thank you.

  19. Yeah, I reached the same conclusion, the metadata was not refreshed. I had the wrong assumption, that upon starting the client the data is refreshed. Dont ask me why I thought that. With the metadata refreshed it works like a charm. So in the future I just need to add the country tag to the subtitle file and it works.

  21. Hi I‘m very new to Emby and playing a bit around with it. I found here that I can remove this darken background over the backdrop images or videos with div.backgroundContainer.withBackdrop { display: none !important; } So in my web browser this works very well - does any option like this exists for the Android App (I use it on my TV as the normal Android App can play the backdrop theme videos) thanks

  22. Hi, more options to control this are certainly possible. Thanks.

  23. I know @Luke, but you've been saying the exact same thing for a long time now...would be nice to see it on some sort of roadmap, along with an ETA.

  25. Simple to not give it out for free….. there is some other guy selling a version for a few $ a month that’s semi comparable.
