This is coming in Emby Server 4.9, and actually you'll see it in some Emby apps sooner than that without having to wait for the server release.

Hey there guys, I've proposed this in some thread already, but I think it would be very handy to sort media of artists into different groups, as musicbrainz does for example. For instance, implement the option to enable sorting artist's music into, e.g., "Albums", "Singles", "Live albums", "Compilations", etc. I have no idea if this is quickly done or rather takes a lot of work, but it would be very cool to have imho. Currently, media of bands like AC/DC or Michael Jackson, so artists making music since some decades, have 50+ albums/singles/etc. cluttering the artist view, making it very hard to find a specific item of that artist. If we would have the option to have this sorted out into different groups, it'd make the artist view more cleaned up. Cheers boys and girls! Have a great day (or night) ahead!

Security starts from the network architecture, proper internet router, VLAN's. firewall with support of security zones and then only comes the exposed service isolation itself. But still, security are created from the layers, like onion. And support of 2FA is one of them.

I hit "play all" on a collection and it doesn't show the next film in "Next Up" after I quit out of it. This is apparently intended behaviour, and the same applies to playlists. This is absurd. Why even have the "play all" option? Who's sitting down to watch a full collection's worth of films, or a full playlist? I have playlists for The Prisoner for its various episode orders, and there's no way I'm getting through them in one sitting. I was going to make that my next show to watch but if I'm going to have to keep track manually of my progress through the playlist it makes the playlist fairly pointless TBH. There's no reason playlists or collections shouldn't show up in Next Up.

Hey @visproductionthanks for the links, I'll check them out. So from what I can tell, the Emby team has already figured this out. I can listen to an audiobook on my android app and it will resume from my last spot just fine. Or if I feel like playing the audiobook through the web browser or on one of my roku devices that seems to work as well and will continue where my phone left off. Since it seems like this is already an existing and intended feature, I figured it makes more sense as a bug report in the forum for the client that isn't working as expected, but I'm open to correction if that's what the Emby team wants me to do.

Well, this WAS a permissions issue. I fixed it and all is now well. Thanks for your assistance.

Please don’t let it take another year like it has to get here. Being able to save a password was called out Multiple times in this thread alone. This is such basic functionality, who in their right mind wants to enter a password every time they open a media app. I would assume most people just want to Keep watch history separate.

I think I resolved the error... It seems like I had 3 times the channels and Data in my TV config, because of multiple tests. After deleting the M3U and deleting all tv data and guide data it seems to be working again.

For the sleep timer, would it be possible to have a custom option, so that I can set it beyond 3 hrs, if I wish

We will need to add another option to handle both variations, meaning showing login both with and without retaining credentials.

This sounds a lot like the issue I have reported with the standard Android app over here: @Lukewhat was your intention for this option? It's clear that it is not working the way people expect it to. Can we just replicate the way the Android TV similar feature works please? ie. once a user has logged in once, their token is saved so they are no longer prompted upon next user select screen?

Thanks. The problem first appeared at least two updates ago. I was a bit lazy and assumed "hey, if it's happening for me it'll be happening for others. Someone will report it and it'll get fixed in the next update." Of course then the next update came along and the problem didn't go away and my wishful thinking was shown up for what it was. Thanks. I finally figured some of it out...... on both the Primary View and Table View (that's all I use) if the item is in the bottom half of the window you get the full menu. If it's in the top half of the window you get the half size menu.

Not the same, but similar. The both achieve a very similar outcome. Not working together, but not against each other either, I am happy to help anyone where I can.

Maybe you ran into one of the quirks mentioned above when it just exits for no reason This no longer happens on the version I am testing right now. It looks pretty similar, but it almost all new. There are a few more options, such as what to output, what to log etc. I am not far off posting it, I have a few more things to finish off, so it might be ready by this weekend. (I hope ) So far it seems to be a LOT more accurate, using all the ignore words, outputting and cleaning up correctly (I think anyway) I still have to add in code to use the inclusion words, but there isn't a lot more to do. Pretty sure it will all come back to hls subs per the testing on page 2/3. As a lot of subtitle suffer never made it into 4.8 that was being worked on back then. Then the ui still needing a switch for ByStreamBufferSize/BySegmentRequest as you can only change via the api.
