  1. I think a user filter could make sense. Also when clicking on a user in user setup, being able to see this same information for that user. So almost like that screen becomes a dashboard for that one user and not just their permissions.

  2. Any way to split Music in Emby either on server or else where by RELEASE TYPE? For example: Albums EP's LIVE One section has the ALBUMS, then maybe the next section has EP's and then a section for LIVE.. I guess that might be a FEATURE.

  3. For now, I believe you are correct, Carlo....I did see it skipping and rewinding on VLC as well. However, it seems to be back to infrequently now. I am closing this post. Thank you both for the assist,,, Emby rocks

  4. The Roku app is crashing? Then when you sign back into the Roku app it just starts to work? If this is involving the Roku app crashing then we can officially help him resolve those crashes and work with him on this. @VicMooreI can work with you on fixing this crash on the Roku. Going to install the plugin and set this up. Then try to see if I can get some crashes on the Roku client and see where this occurs. The Roku app should never crash. Even with bad data it should error rather than crash. Will post back once I have this setup and can test.

  5. Moving the issue from this thread, here is a formal request to add to all Emby apps the ability to adjust / sync the audio playback / delay, in the same way it apparently is currently possible to do in Emby Theater.

  6. Built in Push Notifications through the app and not 3rd party applications? Is that a foreseen addition or what? Right now I added push bullet and well you have to download the app to just get the notifications. Seems counterproductive honestly at least in my eyes? I'd like to see if maybe the android app could get native notifications, I know Roku would be probably difficult and PC would be easy. Xbox probably the same but may be annoying in the sense while viewing or playing games. At least with the Android (iOS too I'm assuming) we could be notified right from our phones and be like "sweet" turning on Emby and watching a movie now.

  7. Server Version: 4.8.11.0 Affected System: Tested on Emby Brows er & Android App (.48) should be the latest behaviour: When accessing the Movies and activating or deactivating to show movies in collections, the switch does not keep its state. Video in browser attached, same behaviour on the Android App I'm demonstrating the change of movies amount and the show up of the collections, but the switch never keep its status. As mentioned, i first recorgnized this on the Nvidia Shield with the newest sideload app, and thought it was a problem of the android app, but now i see it in the browser so it is maybe a general problem of the server version. 15. Maybe you ran into one of the quirks mentioned above when it just exits for no reason This no longer happens on the version I am testing right now. It looks pretty similar, but it almost all new. There are a few more options, such as what to output, what to log etc. I am not far off posting it, I have a few more things to finish off, so it might be ready by this weekend. (I hope ) So far it seems to be a LOT more accurate, using all the ignore words, outputting and cleaning up correctly (I think anyway) I still have to add in code to use the inclusion words, but there isn't a lot more to do. Its almost detecting everything properly now without the inclusion words. 13.Mar.2025 - 15:51:26 channelName: EN - Lucifer (US) S02 E13 13.Mar.2025 - 15:51:26 Sanitized Channelname: EN - Lucifer (US) 13.Mar.2025 - 15:51:26 Detected TV Shows - URL contains the word '/Series/' 13.Mar.2025 - 15:51:26 Adding TV show: EN - Lucifer (US) S02 E13 13.Mar.2025 - 15:51:26 groupTitle Folder omitted due to IgnoreGroupTitleFolder setting. 13.Mar.2025 - 15:51:26 Item [581288] Adding to Folder: D:\VODS\TV Shows\EN - Lucifer (US)\Season 02

  18. @JatorIt is always possible that changes can require you to rebuild your channels. I will try to keep this to a minimum. The problem is that I have to store the EPG that you create so it's available the next time that you want to edit or add to your channels. The easiest way to do this is to save the HTML. This technique has a side effect. If I change the base HTML, my changes will be overwritten when you restore your EPG. I other words, you won't see any of my changes. The good news is that the base HTML is mature, and I don't have any current plans to change it Vic.

  22. As I get my new Emby server up & running, adding new users, I would like to track who is actually using the service. When I go to the Activity screen (SETTINGS>DASHBOARD>ACTIVITY), I see all the individual events, along with who is executing them (SS 1). However, Since I have been streaming music at work lately, there are literally hundreds of these events, creating pages & pages in the activity log - tedious to scroll through looking for other user's activity. What I think would be helpful, is to have an option to group all this activity by USER, so instead of seeing all the individual events listed on the main screen, I could see all the USERs who accessed the server, then click on the USER to see their individual activity.

  26. Thanks for the info, that's good to know about the TTLs on the outbound streams- I'll keep an eye on the hop count. We're all IT professionals on symmetric fiber, and one of us is a former Cisco network engineer, so we should be able to manage it.

  28. I think I found my problem: leftover .nfo files from a failed attempt to run jellyfin. I manually deleted the .nfo files that jellyfin had created and refreshed the metadata, and Emby pulled the correct data. I haven't confirmed this for ALL the data, since I have a large library and I'm only 1/3 through my files, but all the digimon files updated to the correct metadata after clearing the .nfo files.

  33. Do not even try to use age as an excuse for being so technically naïve that simply using something like a Fire stick or a Roku is hard. I am 77 years old and i do not regularly use any Android device but I can use them and even configure them pretty well. Plus the Roku is so simple that my Uncle, at 96, has zero problem. If people cannot use technology that simple the they should stick with the most basic devices like TVs with little or no smarts and just watch the mind numbing drivel that regular TV provides. On the other hand I have never met an older person that was not deep in dementia that could not master the simple use of many streaming devices. I also have a neighbor that is close to turning 100 that mastered the Roku i gave her in about 3 or four days. There is a big difference between not being able to use something and not being willing to try. Smart TVs are not the answer to technical phobia either as they are just as complex as using most separate boxes. The answer is learning to use what is available and if a given TV does not have Emby and the user wants Emby then any one of the simple stand alone boxes becomes the best solution quite easily. I do not think that Emby needs to try to support every OS that people come up with because they already support plenty of different devices and different operating systems. Adding support for more diverts needed resources to an unneeded function. But it is Emby's property we are discussing and they can do as they want and support what they choose. I just wish they would concentrate on their core functionality and avoid expansion until the core is at the stage were maintenance is all that is needed.

  34. +1. I would add, NOT the same way it's possible in Theater, which is very cumbersome to use, but an in-player option.

  36. Under the Playback Reporting plugins settings tab set up an activity playlist action: Then run the Schedule Task. It should now create a new Playlist with the name you used and the types of items you requested. This feature will use recent playback activity to build a sorted playlist so you can see and easily play back what users on the server are watching have watched.

  37. create a new playlist item here and then run the scheduled task: Playback Reporting : Create Playlists Its creates playlists for the most watched items
