I have done the code, its all working as far as I can tell. Currently the progress bar doesnt work in the scheduled task, but i am not worried about that yet, the scheduled task does though. I have enabled the plugin to take 3 m3u urls or paths, but it is designed so that it can do it all from one m3u. It will split the m3u into LiveTV,TV Shows & Movies, and if you set the option it will save the split m3u files. In effect you can choose not to load your m3u directly from your stream provider into Live TV m3u Tuner, instead use the plugin to split off the vods, to a Movie & TV show directory, create a clean LiveTV m3u (without the VODS) and point the Live TV Tuner to load that from your save location of this plugin instead. Note: If you have the log on - as most processes are Asynchronous , it may write to the log out of order. Let me know whats not working, or what it is missing if anything? Other than the progress indicator in the scheduled task... DO NOT OUTPUT STRMS TO YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOLDERS THAT CONTAIN OTHER MEDIA - KEEP THESE SEPERATE the update and delete mechanism will delete anything else that is not in the m3u files! Multi-threading the log is the biggest difference of all, this can reduce processing time by many HOURS if the m3u input files are large. Not logging at all is the fastest option. A huge 135mb m3u with no logging and ignore filters on took 4mins 17 seconds to completely read and create the strm files. With no logging on a test run of a 135mb input m3u took just 1 minute 22 seconds. Erroneous directory/strm creation fixed. I got tired of having to manually load/update my plugins to servers so I wrote a plugin that if you give it a github repo url and it has a published release that has a .dll file it will install it. It also has a schedule task that will check nightly and install and optionally restart the server on new releases. I am looking into it I have a few issues to address. 1st is my new pc is building empty dll's. Something to do with win 11 and unc. I have to figure that out. 2nd is saving is not saving but reloading, although theres nothing in the code thats obvious, I have that to figure out. Please be patient my new pc is giving me more headaches that i wished for ........ its much faster but misbehaving ...

Personally, don't mind minor vertical stretch to fill the placeholder. Either way, behavior should be consistent across all client apps: AndroidTV app does it, Web App does it, Emby for Windows does it - see no reason why Android app should behave differently?

That kind of is what this plugin does. It reads the m3u, makes folders and strms of all the vods (tv show & movies), and recreates the m3u without the vods so that the tuner only gets live-tv channels. However, it seems that users have different formats of m3u that are not all covered. I will add a box where you can add keywords to include for export as vods. It also seems I will also need to add a section for ignore as well.

apple+ and netflix are just 2 examples. I have many more. Maybe we need a section in the plugin, where we can add extra ones, otherwise we are going to have to keep asking you to add news ones (if new ones are added by the provider), also there are some VOD folders that I don't want to see (e.g. Bollywood)

Attached below is the latest code. The "restore channels" button has been removed. Channels now load automatically. For this feature to work, you must delete your Tv Tuner and reload it again. I see the same thing with the android app on both my cell phone and my nvidia shield I am using the latest version 3.4.43 With the AndroidTV app 2.1.26 everything is displayed correctly.

I managed to point the domain to the server through the cloudflare service, so everything is fine. They also have their own SSL. You can lock the post.

i think i wil edit the names that are wrong named on disneyplus edit it my self by just adding the text from disney plus in that episode. because i grabbed alot of seasons from disneyplus with keepstreams and these names from some seasons are difference then sonarr namings. or emby.

That I can understand. Maybe just the choice to not restore the movie/tv-show DB would be great. But if it is not possible, then it isn't.

Thanks again for another clarification It would be better if it restores the users not just the data. Or else we have to write down all user info (username/password(should we even now there password)) when we make the users. They have to be exactly i copy I will belive? Not to be cruel, but think the backup and restore function need a little bit more ex in the help pages

How is this different than any other plugin that exists? Every plugin installed has access to pull files from the internet to the machine once installed. I could write a plugin that has a scheduled task that will pull things behind the scene. So not sure what the explicit call out here is.

Was able to get my hands on a ios device (ipad) and can confirm latest update the issue is fixed. Please release a stable (non beta) android TV and universal android app update. I see there have been a couple updated beta releases since this was figured out, please release the updated stable versions.

I think there was a NextPVR issue when the Hauppauge BDA driver couldn't be stopped which is why I asked you to post on the NextPVR forum. Emby's unique use of Live TV interface compounds the problem so you probably are stuck with this until there is a stable Emby only solution in the next release. I expect a server reboot would have fixed the driver issue.

I've contributed by paying for my lifetime license in full. Beyond that, if I were going to spend my time supporting a project then it would be a free and open source one like Jellyfin. Considering Emby is a closed-source, proprietary software product I'm not sure how you would expect such considerable outside contributions in the first place? I'm sure something could be shoehorned in through the plugin system, but at that point it'd be better off as it's own separate software. Emby's live TV worked well enough when I first started using it in 2020. A lot has changed in 5 years and many companies have evolved, but Emby's live TV offering has remained pretty much stagnant and fallen way behind in that time. So which do you think is better for Emby here? 1). Users to express their frustrations and give Emby some feedback on where the system is lacking while trying to stick with it. 2). Give up on Emby entirely and silently move onto better things. Personally, in hindsight I kinda wish I had gone straight to the second option instead of wasting so much time with the first.

Just made a short test on beta 38 (did not recognize it before). When displaying in full resolution - everything is fine. As soon as the scaler is working - same as before.

Happy you like it, but I guess that PMM/Kometa lost a lot of interest to the Trakt & MDB List Maker, as both scripts do a great job on their own, so I highly doubt that anyone else will join. As I'm unfamiliar with Pycharm and Git updates, and I don't want to take full care of the Emby integration, I decided to upload my current version (including my config as example). https://we.tl/t-dpx1STyJ9h <- valid for 7 days, contains Kometa for Emby + my basic overlay plugin. Within the Kometa config, select png as file format for the overlays, it will export transparent pngs. For the server plugin, chose the folder with the exported overlay pngs. Will only refresh overlays after you click save. Needs a dummy Plex server configured. I think I'll post the link at the Kometa feature request post, maybe my version can help speed up a proper integration.

Hi Tried that now. It seems to only display per season if I have more than 1 season. So if a show is on season 10 and I've watched 9 seasons and have season 10 only then it doesn't seem to be available to me. However even when available there are two major issues. Going season by season or even show by show is extremely time consuming This creates a manual overhead that nobody needs. I'd need to check every show every time to figure out if I'm missing something Is there a possibility of adding the old feature back (where you can see the missing episode alongside the other episodes). Or when you click play on a show and the next episode is missing, before playing the next available episode display a warning. Anything that takes out the manual aspect of checking for missing episodes

what about see all missing? u have to go into each show and click the 3 dots... how about be able to search overall from the entire library? the current method is barely faster than going to imdb and looking up and comparing manually

So from what i gather after reading through these threads... there is no way to see a missing episode if its the most recent episode? It only finds episodes missing in between? This feature would be most useful to figure out when a new episode comes out so i can get it. Or am i missing something? Having the episode listed but 25% transparent and not playable would be ideal for missing. like below if i was missing episode 10. on the main tv shows page a little icon on top left showing which shows have missing content would also be great. the current usage is not very useful at all. not trying to be rude. but honest

Interesting. So, from the "user" point of view, would it be that hard to change the output of the function from "No items found" to ""No items found, you need to enable TvDB for this first."? It would help a lot to minimise irritation if devs would think a little bit more about usability. "It's not a new requirement and has alsways been that way" is not really a helpful excuse if it's not clear to a user that it's a requirement if the function in question doesn't say so. Or if it's just documented somewhere in a developer API or similar instead of the UI. I said at the time that I thought it was an awful change and still feel the same. Awful changes unfortunately happens far to often with this product.

Well it is pretty shite compared to before the change. I mean sure, you find the little dots, then you select a few radio buttons, and then what happens? you get a couple of pictures! Not even a link to the show ffs.

Maybe I'm missing the point here - but as a 'client/user' of the system - how would I KNOW to use this function in the first place ? When I watch a show, I don't assume an episode MAY be missing and therefore manually check each time - I want to be NOTIFIED that an episode is missing - thus I know in advance. The only useful function 'missing episodes' now serves is for the Admin (and then are far better tools out there for this) or for the poor client when they realise they have missed an episode and then attempt to find out what's going on. I get the technical reasons why, but removing this basic functionality without replacing it with something that is functional (from a client perspective) was a poor decision imo.

Please bring back the feature to be able to view the missing episodes directly in the overview of the individual episodes it's annoying to have to open an extra menu every time. that's not even enough, you have to move a slider to show the next episodes... Not everyone knows the complete episode guide of a series and many people only watch series when seasons are complete. so it's a very useful function to be able to see directly whether a season is complete or not I really can't understand why they removed this feature and then added such useless and complicated features

what about showing a popup when a user skips an episode because it isn't available, or something similar. And how does this implementation even solve the problem? If anything, it makes it worse??

Hi. You do realize it is way more complicated than adding a checkbox, right? That "competitor" has that because that app is just a really old version of our app (you cannot tell that anymore because they removed all the attribution from the code) with some modifications. We used LibVLC in some cases long ago but it ended up having way too many limitations. I doubt we will be looking to re-introduce it but we are constantly working on accounting for whatever deficiencies exist in Google's Exoplayer. We are working on this now.
