Intro/End Credits has never worked on Movies - even the original Introskip Plugin didn't do that. If Emby do decide to add CreditStart back into apps (agree with @seanbuffonly AndroidTV/FireTV has it atm .. (and has done for the last 3 years...) , then please also add the ability to actually autoskip to the next episode, not just bring up the 'next episode' interface) - ie the same as the ability to autoskip the Intro. The original Introskip Plugin had this and it makes binge watching a season much better, as you don't have to touch the remote to skip the credits each time - it skips both the intro and the credits. The original plugin also allowed you to play the intro on episode 1 and the credits on the last episode of the season - to help indicate it was a new season ... it had some nice features .. (if I say so myself .. lol)3 points

I think it would be nice to have the Audience Rating (icon) / Audience Score for movies along with the Critic Rating (icon) / Critic Score. It looks like the data is available from the Rotten Tomatoes API via the ratings field. 14 "ratings": { 15 "critics_rating": "Certified Fresh", 16 "critics_score": 99, 17 "audience_rating": "Upright", 18 "audience_score": 912 points

BTW, this will still require you to Exit the app, but you will be able to 'Remember me' and then it will prompt for a PIN each time that user logs in1 point
-
This is the right question. The KU model will be running an old version if the app is from the store as the last release for that model was prior to PIN support being added. You can try the USB Beta version which has PIN support, but it will expire after 30 days. You can use it as a test to see if it resolves your issue, then revert back to the store version after 30 days when it expires or you can update it via USB every 30 days to keep up with the latest version and all current changes.1 point

I'll answer when I'm back home. But I'll haven't done anything to my library or anything. This has worked for many years. Thanks1 point

Sort of a hard question but I would say about the same size as the media that is being converted would be a good estimate times the number of possible users transcoding.1 point

I have a dedicated box for Emby, 8 cores, 64 GB RAM, and another box, linked by 2x 10GB links to store the media. One share and link for films, another share/link for tvshows. I found a new Dell t340 for the storage server at a very good price and put trueNAS on it, which is excellent. It gives me plenty of potential for expansion and just runs. Admittedly it's scheduled to turn on and off when we're all asleep, and still costs £0.89 or $1.12 a day to run, but it's a very nice solution. I hope this helps UK Electricity is expensive!!!1 point

I believe the Android TV (and Fire TV) apps are the only apps that supports this marker.1 point

I bought a 24 bay server that holds and backs up all of my media. But it's not good at transcoding, so I'm considering shifting the Emby server duties to my desktop that I'm considering decommissioning as my work computer. It's got a decent nvidia card in there as well.1 point

I second this request, though I know that Czechia and Slovakia arent super important markets globally. Titulky.com (subtitles) and Csfd.cz (metadata) are indeed very widely used and very popular websites over here, so their implementation would be very cool.1 point

After trying many times, I deleted all the music media libraries, cleared the Emby cache, and rebuilt the music media library. It returned to normal, so it seems to be an Emby metadata cache bug. Thanks again for your help!1 point

Hi, To solve other issues with 9.2, I'll have to reset the device (thanks NVIDIA support for such a wonderful solution!) I'll update you if this solves something with the movies I could spot having this problem.1 point

You need to map the storage where you keep your media. Under "Edit Emby Server" go to the "Storage Configuration" section you can add a Host Path as "Additional Storage". I found this general video on TrueNAS Scale apps and permissions really helpful:1 point

It's been a few years and it would be really great to see some love from the devs, here. I still keep a secondary music streaming server running because searching in Emby is so limited in comparison. A simple artist and title search would go a long way to improving things.1 point

This may or may not work. It's going to be more a function of the underlying storage system configuration. For example, if you had 4 to 8 disks combined in some type of RAID with a share called Media holding all your content for Emby, your libraries mount points would likely use something like: /Media/Movies /Media/Shows /Media/Music /Media/Photos /Media/Recordings /Media/HomeVideo With or without docker you can pickup/copy your system to another box, make a couple edits and have it work as usual if the new box has a similar storage setup and a share called Media. If however, you move from a system using a 4 disk RAID to Unraid setup to use each disk individually or in sets of mirrors there will be multiple share points so all content will no longer be able to be found under Media. In this case it won't matter if docker was used or not since the content is now located in a different directory tree and ech library will need to be rescanned causing files to be removed and then added again which could cause issues for things like playlists. Media could also end up with different graphics and metadata as well if these were not stored previously with the media as well as bif and NFO files. To me personally, the extra layers and complexity that docker generally adds isn't worth the tradeoff, but that's just me. Each use case is different and defined by the person running the box, which is what matters the most.1 point

Can you please make it happen? As a premium user, I am missing this feature very much. Is it doable? It is the best server for CZE and SVK subtitles. And the other request: csfd.cz as an info scrapper for content in czech and slovak. Is it doable too? thanks in advance1 point

Hi, stay tuned for our new app that will be coming. Thanks.1 point

When playing using the USB stick it's not using exactly the same avplayer that we use. The built-in media player app sometimes has more capabilities than we can use with avplayer in the app. avplayer is an application library, it's not an app. For example, if we know that all 2022 models don't support 50fps, or models after 2017 don't support DTS, then we will convert the file first. However, where this is not known or, when there are 'special' models that have limited features that we're not aware of, then we attempt the conversion after we receive the DirectPlay error.1 point

Hi olli14, same problem here, but i know what is the problem. On some cheap samsung tv´s there is no playback for 50 frames movies of the german tv station. Just check your tv information, emby is doing everything well in this case. You could just convert to 25 frames, but this is causing very bad quality and bucking. Kind regards, pektoral1 point

Hello, I'm reporting on this request after some time, has it been worked on, is it being worked on, or will it be worked on? Thanks for the feedback. Peter1 point
