No. Auto is auto in name only and is basically just 4-7mpbs depending on device and needs to be change by the user on every device used. It's a topic that has been discussed a lot lately, for now the Emby teams fix has been to raise the "auto" to 12mpbs and lower it to 1mpbs for cellular in the latest beta. Edit: Forgot to add that to lessen the times you have to explain it to people you can instead make a library called fx. "1nfo" (1 instead of I so it gets in front) and put a picture in there made in paint that explains the situation and then more pictures that show how to raise the quality. It has helped a little for me, the elderly and less tech savvy part of my family still ignore it though.

Hi @Luke Thanks. I guess it solved the problem. The Other user that has an admin rights has a notification configured., I thought the settings is global for all admin users, not as per user.

Hi GrimReaper, Thans for your reaction. Indeed I had the AndroidTV Client installed. Swapping it out for the Standard Android App (That I also use on mobile and tablet) did the job. Didn't know those two apps had a difference. Also thanks to pwhodges for letting me know that unlocking on the Android TV App makes no difference in terms of functionality.

As a matter of fact, proper remote control button interaction can only be found in the WMC UI apps (at the time of writing). The Windows app itself is only in charge of detecting button presses via OS API and the test UI under settings. Then it forwards those events to the inner application, which hits the same implementation like before. Hence I can only defer this to @Luketo comment on.

No, there isn't. I wouldn't put that kind of media on the same instance you share with family. Mistakes are too easy to make and there's always a risk that access controls miss function due to currently unknown or future bugs. Run a seprate emby server for that. Docker is great for such things (running two emby servers on the same machine).

For those who haven't seen the TOPIC I'm writing it here too Same black screen issue with DV HDR10+ Fire TV Stick 4K Max 1st gen, works by removing HDR10+ metadata (as rbjtech wrote, thanks ) I used Dolby_Vision_Tool (drag file to DDVT_REMOVER, press S) very fast, 30 seconds. Is it possible to add a setting to disable HDR10+ to emby??

I find it would look a lot better when you're on the TV Show detail screen for it to have a gradient blur with the faded image of the fanart in the corner, kind of like plex. Having just the fanart looks way to busy, and I find it hard to enjoy my library with such an ugly screen. I always feel my enjoyment go down when I am on these screens. They don't look tidy and elegant.

I do get that, but at which point does "the need" for the feature outweigh the amount of trouble it may cause? Movies basically work fine, but plenty of shows have 10 season of 20 episodes or so. That equals 200 episodes that need to have the subtitles changed when they start playing Point is people may activate them, not reading properly and then get on the forums suggesting the features are broken/bugged/glitched and simply not working properly.

Yeah, I would like to see this feature too as many my shows have subtitles for signs and dialogue in other languages and it's a pain to remember to set them every time I start playing an episode, I like to just turn them all on for a season and then forget about them. it would be nice for my subtitle settings to carry over across from my PC (easy to change a whole season) to my Roku (pain in the backside)

I just wanted to say how greedy this is. I paid for a premium license and this costs you no extra for me to support more than 25 users. I never heard of these device limits when I purchased. I’ll never pay you $12 a month for the rare occurrences everyone watches at once. I have now already begun switching to jellyfin. Way to piss off your user base. Sorry your business model didn’t work but this isn’t the solution. Shameful
