This has been done. The Log Files support article has been updated3 points

Well it lasted 3 whole day before I had to abandon the replacement Emby for Android app. It is riddled with app breaking bugs, one of which that requires you to force quit the app has been reported over a year ago. The app is unusable on a TV device at this moment. Back to Emby for Android TV for me.3 points

Also, Paths section as in: is no more, Paths are now located under three-dot menu next to the server name>Get Server Info. This has been done. The Log Files article has been updated. Apologies for missing your original August ping on this2 points

I'd like to see a feature where on a piece of content there was a button to report a playback error or such. I have a lot of content that I haven't watched that friends have requested - if there was a simple button they could click that pings me a message letting me know there's an issue with the file that'd be great.1 point

I've confirmed I can fix the refresh rate switching on the new Google box. Fix will be in the next beta/release. Thanks.1 point

I picked up one of the new Google streamers for testing and confirmed this issue. It reports support for those HD codecs but does not support them (I get hissing on the TV). With the TV app you can de-select the options to allow passthru on them to solve this.1 point

Hi both, actually i got struck by a lightning and realized that might be just that, the time to come back here I already had your 2 answers. Thanks! Case closed1 point

When media is transcoded you get two bars top for playback position and bottom for how far along the server is in converting the media being played.1 point

Can you add playlist support to the sync and download option? The feature is awesome for movies, but for music it needs to have a way to play a playlist. I wanted to use the sync and download for music to not use my phone data, I normally use all in 2 weeks. I use Emby on my phone and then I connect it to the car to listen to music.1 point
-
Hi, not yet, but it's planned for future updates. Please note, until then you can still download a playlist and it will download the content, just not the playlist itself. Thanks.1 point

Thank you and thank you for pointing out the "lock" option. That will be very helpful, if it allows me to lock specific fields. Even if it locks the whole video, it would protect my edits from a general re-indexing.1 point

Hi, yes I've seen this before (in firefox only). Haven't chased it down yet. Thanks.1 point

Did some work on it... Works now perfectly, Thanks!1 point

Potentially, I'm thinking more about a server side processor that does it instead1 point

I am not familiar with lltag at all, so can't help you out with this. If you are going to be using Emby extensively for music, then it might be worth learning Picard and/or Mp3tag. Emby utilises a lot of music data from MusicBrainz. Both Picard and Mp3tag can be useful for semi-automatically adding the MusicBrainz info to your music files as embedded metadata, which Emby can then read and automatically import. Both programs are extremely powerful, but just learning some of the basics around MusicBrainz can help enormously with getting the best of music with Emby.1 point

matrix collection is complete. I have no clue why I didn't do anything besides a emby server docker restart but in emby the collection was complete all the time. seems it's all good now thanks! happy Monday1 point

DP>HDMI works perfectly fine in my experience. I have tried both to TV and to AVR with no issues. I will admit I have not tried every single audio format, but it does work fine for playing video games. I've gotten at least 5.1 audio out of DP>HDMI, but I have not tried any further, as I have no games that are in DTSHDMA or other lossless formats.1 point

Sorry to interject... I think the OP is trying to explain that ALBUM SORT embedded metadata (which can be set up using MP3tag) is not imported into the "Sort title" field within Emby. (I did a quick small test and found the same result). Luke mentioned a while back that it isn't currently supported in Emby: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/79837-sorting-music-albums/ I couldn't find anything else more recent? If this is still the case, then "Sort title" would need to be manually configured to allow for a different Album order to be shown. In the OP images the "Sort title" is just replicating the "Title" of "Club Class: Volume Five" giving an 'incorrect' alphabetical sort. If all required "Sort title" had been imported as e.g. "Club Class: Volume 05" for all relevant Albums then a 'correct' numeric sort would occur. (If I have misunderstood, then please disregard!)1 point

Good evening Sorry, I was very busy in the last week. I „solved“ it by deleting the account and created a new one. After that it worked. I still don’t understand why and how, but at least it works.1 point

Please fix! I started having this issue too and makes the whole experience a horrible one, can’t watch multiple things without closing the app completely1 point

Just change the subtitles to any language and change the subtitle mode to always I've always thought that display (ass) wasn't part of the "preferred subtitle language", and I didn't expect "select all" to be included1 point

We would like to make a quick announcement that Emby Server 4.8.9 has been released. This is an incremental update over 4.8.8 that had various improvements and fixes. For those that are curious on how to find the release notes, it is as simple as clicking on the server version on your Emby dashboard. This will bring you to the the release notes and you can scroll through the various versions to see the continual work by the Emby team on each subsequent release. View the full article1 point

Multi-part episodes are currently not supported. Your best bet would be to merge them into single file. Alternatively, you can make use of Multi-versioning as sort of a workaround. https://emby.media/support/articles/TV-Naming.html#multi-version-episodes1 point

Stumbled across this thread as i had a similar issue where aac stereo audio on my samsung Q65 tv that was playing direct would play fine for a minute or two then just cut out. Stopping the stream and resuming playback would bring the sound back for a minute or two and then would cut out again. I narrowed this down to any aac audio stream that was greater than 160kbps had this problem. This is also clarified by the OP's images where the stream with the issue was 199kbps and the stream without an issue is 130kbps. So for anyone else experiencing this try down sampling your audio to 160kbps and the problem should be solved.1 point

Please post the server log but suggest the plugin needs an update. And potentially needs to be in plugin section or the plugins topic. Have not looked much but @rbjtech@Cheesegeezerare there any platform limits. Various OS Installation Help · Cheesegeezer/MediaInfoWiki Wiki (github.com)1 point

Would it not be a good idea to have a metadata option for music videos that is actually for music, so that if there's nothing available in a music video db it could be identified from a music db ?1 point

My repository still runs if you want to use it, feel free. If you wan't to share it i would be glad if you do so. My repository now holds about 9G of emby beta builds from 4.8.074 - 4.9.0.18 and about 5G of stable builds from 4.7.10.0 - 4.8.6.0. Sourcecode of my used script can be found here. Github - Repository Script It's crude, not perfect in any way, but it gets the job done without running into a ratelimit in github.1 point
