  1. I found it. I was looking on the wrong area. I will continue to monitor and see if it fixed it.

  2. TheTVDB now supports more alternative orders than just Aired/Absolute/DVD. Can Emby query these additional orders and add them as options? Two examples of shows I've seen this used are Re:Zero which has a "Director's Cut" display order and Money Heist which has a "Netflix" order. https://thetvdb.com/series/re-zero-starting-life-in-another-world https://thetvdb.com/series/la-casa-de-papel

  3. I think it would be nice to have the Audience Rating (icon) / Audience Score for movies along with the Critic Rating (icon) / Critic Score. It looks like the data is available from the Rotten Tomatoes API via the ratings field. 14 "ratings": { 15 "critics_rating": "Certified Fresh", 16 "critics_score": 99, 17 "audience_rating": "Upright", 18 "audience_score": 91

  4. Now that the "Trakt List to Collection" plugin is working for me, I made some images for the created collections. Thanks again @bakes82for this great plugin! I also added a GIMP file with all the layers in case someone wants to create his own images. Font used is Impact Condensed. 20240706_Collection_Images_Awards.zip

  5. But in the end has nothing to do with Emby as they are just the middle man. All Emby can do is submit your issues to GraceNotes.

  11. If PLEX has figured this out (and they also charge for subscriptions) why can't EMBY figure it out? I don't use PLEX and have a subsription to EMBY and used to use the trailer function up until the videos all went LO REZ.

  12. It works! If you need logs, I can post them a bit later. Thanks for fixing whatever the issue was.

  15. UP! This thing still exists and is really frustrating sometimes because it "devalues" all the artists recommendations within the "more like this" section in the artist profile page. Since we use the semicolon (;) to split multiple artists, now we have a huge amount of "obscure" or "feat." artists that litters Emby. Maybe you guys should focus the interface on "Album Artists" instead of "Artists". Basically, all the main artists in a music collection are "Album Artists" and by using the "Artist" you devalue recommendations. I think that "More Like This" section in the Artist profile page should be populated by "Album Artists" instead of "Artists". Since i implemented the multiple artist semicolon separation; even the "Artist" main page became irrelevant since is cluttered with everybody making it totally useless Please, focus on "Album Artists" through the interface.

  16. Yocker, Apple TV trailers are sequential .m4s files served as background video with custom .js scripts that are also protected with a sha256 encryption key. I believe your assumption that the trailers are "freely available" is better described as the trailers appear automatically to site visitors and clients of Apple TV only. Apple is a third party and they have already made some sort of agreement with the movie distributors to show trailers. The trailer owners are not Apple, so there is nothing to ask Apple, regarding using trailers from their site. They don't have the rights to offer download or other embed option, even if Apple wanted to do this. The legal method is to go to each media distributor or to the media owner's agent, to secure access to the trailers. If Apple soley produces some media, then contacting Apple for those trailers only, may be possible.

  17. And that is the one you want, going forward. It won't affect existing items as their Date Added is already written as File creation date per your previous settings; you'd have to remove those items out of your Movies root, Scan media library to clear db, move them back and run a Scan again. Newly added content will behave as expected.

  18. It’s the local network. It happens when the remote network is well. I assure you that was only an audio transcode. Not a video transcode. I suppose it could be a network issue, but it would be weird to happen suddenly. Nothing has changed. I get good network throughput as well.

  19. I only know they have trailers freely available on their website https://tv.apple.com/us/room/edt.item.64248313-7414-4d63-a6fc-7c29f9916c79 If there is a way to add them to Emby or if it's even allowed i don't know.

  26. I have not been using the plugin for a long time, and uninstalled it. Got my own trailer for movies or tv shows. But I still stuck with this nag screen, not cool, I do not want that garbage. At least make it show MY own trailers.

  28. The Emby team wanted to say thank you again to everyone that took the time to ask various questions during our Q&A session. Here are a few more answers to questions that a lot of our users were asking about. 1) How is beta functionality success measured? Often times people are curious about the process we use internally here at Emby as we go through the Beta process. We do rely heavily on the forum feedback and beta-tester feedback relating to open issues. It is also important that we take into account the overall experience of the beta release compared to the current stable release, especially when we are making large changes as we did from 4.7 to 4.8. We may be perfectionists at heart but we also understand that we can't spend forever chasing perfection on the release so we do our best to balance stability and functionality throughout the whole process. To reiterate what we shared in previous blog posts, we also understand that a tighter release window with smaller goals allows us to hone in on the stability of the beta and get releases out to the public. It is something that we here at Emby are striving to get to. 2) What is the split of time between actual development and forum duties? We get this question asked often so we thought we would give a little run down on this. Some of our developers such as @Lukeand @ebrand others split their time between development and the forums as things demand. Other developers we have on staff actually do not even engage in the forums at all as to solely focus on the development of Emby moving forward. This allows us to offer quick and prompt customer service and also focus on development at the same time. We thought it was important to answer this one at this point in time, because we do want people to know that there is more to the development team than simply what you see here on the forums. 3) What would help the Emby team the most to improve the overall product from the community? This is another question that gets asked often and it's something that a lot of you are already doing. Keep up the feedback! The more the better! Everything that's posted on these forums is invaluable to us. From pain points, feature requests, how you're using the server, what apps you prefer and anything else that people share with us about how they utilize Emby. Everything that you share is heard and taken into account by the developers. That doesn't always mean that things can get implemented right away or worked on immediately, but the value of your feedback is paramount to our work. We know that it doesn't always seem like it to everyone, but we 100% listen to everything people say and value the thoughts and opinions of our user base! 4) What are some of the biggest obstacles that the Emby team faces throughout development? A lot of the challenges we face throughout development are based on resource allocation from the sheer amount of hardware and software options that Emby runs on. Keeping in mind that Emby runs on everything from an old windows laptop, to Linux distros, NAS, server systems and more, we have to make sure that the program works on all of these systems. Also development of the apps falls under that same category. With so many options for our users to choose from dedicated media players such as Roku, Amazon Fire Sticks, Nvidia Shields, Apple TV Smart TV's, mobile devices such as Android and iOS, there are a lot of different platforms that we need to develop on and do our best to make sure everything is up to the standard that our users expect from Emby. 29. Hey everyone I have finished a script I've been working on. The script will get a user's watched items from emby and then unmonitor them in the relative *Arr app before deleting them from your emby library and filesystem if it has been more than 14 days from the episodes air date (the time limit isn't in place for movies only episodes). You can also blacklist movies and tv shows for the script to ignore feel free to check it out over on GitHub Github - EmbyArrSync

  30. I've made a lot of changes and improvements to the above script over the past week and am now on V-1.1.0 What's Changed - Moved Blacklists to /config/blacklists.json - Moved env variables to /config/EmbyArrSync.env - Improved error handling - added more env variables for customisation - created requirements.txt - Lots of optimisations and improvements to the script - Added a function to delete episode files from Sonarr/Radarr Directly - Added the option to disable deleting items directly in Emby library for those that use the Sonarr/Radarr Emby connection for library updates - improved Print statements to show identifiable info in a human-readable format such as episode name and series name or movie name instead of item/tmbd/tvdb ids etc - specified a limit for the number of activities pulled from Emby watch history api to grab more set the new default limit to the highest number that I found that didn't result in errors, also made this an env variable so it can be altered based on users needs
