  1. I would love to be able to jump to a year when I have my movie titles sorted by release date. When the movies are sorted by title I can click on a letter or type in the first three letters to jump down the list, however when I sort by release date and I'm in the mood for an 80s movie I have to scroll through 30+ years of movies to get to those releases. If the years (or even decades) were down the right hand side of the screen like the letters are when you sort by title that would be huge. I apologize in advance if there is a way to do this or if its already been requested I've been trying to find a quick way to do this and I can't seem to find one.

  2. Video is a track not a version so no there will not be a drop-down option there as you will not likely have multiple video track in one file. Movies requires specific naming scheme or the community plugin or manual grouping. Movie Naming | Emby Documentation automatic-version-grouping-for-movies plugin multi-select and group So a little work with name or no work with the plugin.

  3. Hey all, I've looked around online and through this forum, but I haven't found a solution. I would like to create a list/report/file/anything that shows the movies I have in my emby library that have never been watched. I see that it can be done for a single user with a smart playlist plugin, but I would like a list of things that nobody has ever watched. The server has been up for several years with the same library. Not sure if it helps, but I've had the "playback reporting" plugin installed for about a year, so I have all that data. I know you can make queries with it, but I'm not sure how I would query a negative. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I don't expect anyone to hold my hand. I'd just like to know if this is even possible, or if I'm wasting my time trying. Thank you!

  7. You have to make sure that you uninstall the old Emby version (in settings, apps, installed apps), not only removing it from the home screen.

  8. ~4 yrs gone & little has changed. Just looked at sorting movies by year (or release date) & w/ out a jump list (a la alpha picker), navigating a sizeable movie library is quite tedious scrolling down the list. Yes, there may be filters available (slightly less tedious, year, no decade), but they must be cleared/reset next time one views the library w/ a different intent. Is it truly that difficult to implement?

  11. Well, thanks to Teddy for making embuary usable on omega. Thanks to Kodi for nothing. What the hell is the effort of destroying my Kodi - surface by an update (unfortunately I had auto updates activated in google play store for the shield). I habe two choices: Spending hours of configuration time to get embuary as it was or use the crappy emby App for Android.

  12. Yeah, navigating to the title of a context menu with a TV remote control is very non-standard (can't think of a single interface that does that). I wouldn't imagine anyone would try that except to stumble on it by accident.

  13. You're adding the images to the episode, not to the show. Once the episode finishes, the next episode appears in Continue Watching, and doesn't have the images because you never added them to that episode, only to the previous episode.

  14. didn't realize there was an update. Just installed. I'll let you know in a day or 2. Thanks, Luke.

  19. Well that was a quick reply! I glad I posted! Need to Save Settings, but should come and go with selection/deselection (provided Save Settings) and does on my testing. Probably you didn’t save it first time? Anyway - glad its all going well now! The time is in the Other settings page - not the Now Playing settings page…

  20. Hy @quickmic When i turn on in section interface the point "Show options in plugin menu", is this not working.I go on the "main home screen" to the point "Addons", no matter what lower category i select, Video addons, Music-addons or Picture-addons, when i go inside und want... for example manage libraries, then nothing happens. Kodi 21.0 final with Coreelec on Odroid N2, tested with Skins Aeon MQ8 and standard Estuary. Edit: native mode It was a clean install, e4k i have installed first, other addons only AeonMQ8, Youtube, script.light.imdb.ratings.update and Artwork Organizer. plugin.service.emby-next-gen-10.0.25 plugin.video.emby-next-gen-10.1.0 plugin.audio.emby-next-gen-10.1.0 plugin.image.emby-next-gen-10.1.0

  21. Hi Try version 351 just added now, in github Adds Disable Clock Add selection option from Remaining time instead of duration, 2nd option of End Time - time that program will end (pretty straight forward) Likely not suit time resolution screens. The Time size scaler affects this as well. Save Settings prior to options being visible & Re -adds the colour Icons - which may have gone with a version back, Few other minor fixes. Took a while, code is old … not sure up to many more updates/changes.. But here is this….

  23. Hi Luke, Thanks for your reply. I thought this could be the issue. I will try to upgrade my box to the latest version and will have another go. I will get back to you once I have done that. Thanks again!

  25. I don't have it on hand but in my case at least, I think it was due to user error. I had a rule setup that wasn't being interpreted properly due to including parenthesis. After fixing that rule, the guide refresh finishes in a very timely manner. Thanks!

  26. HEVC would be h265 yes, but without the transcode log there's no way to know what the transcode speed was. A 1050 Ti should be sufficient for several streams at the same time, even a couple 4K at the same time shouldn't be a problem. What device were you playing back on? What client application?

  31. my workaround has become better, but its not a final solution. did you fully understand the problem (as it is written in german) ? sometimes there are series where episodes become broadcast in two parts. is there a way to name them that the second part becomes autoplayed afterr watching the first ? (and that emby trearts the two parts as a single episode) PS: could you please edit the topic of this thread for me 'Bennen' is a typo and should be 'Benennen'

  33. @visproductionYou fell for a misconception regarding the way Emby is working. Bandwidth is just one of some dozen different factors based on which Emby is determining the best way for delivering a media file to a specific client app, according to the device capabilities, client app settings and server settings. Due to this high adaptability and configurability, it cannot work like a streaming service with a range of pre-transcoded versions for each item.

  36. Hi, I don't have an ETA but we do plan to greatly expand on the available search options.

  37. Okay, I need to move on from this. Most of my playlists were music and I can recreate those easily. One of them was my movie watchlist, which had over 200 movies in it. I'll just have to start over on that one.

  38. Yeah, I know. It's a convoluted effort, but it will kind of work. But you kind of see where I am coming from. It would be nice to have the data you have from Gracenote that people can search and map to whatever channel they need without having to add multiple guides or find out the information isn't there at all when it should be.

  39. From Symfonium I was able to sync my deleted playlist back to the Emby server, so it is now recovered. Thanks for the tip about the .m3u files on the filesystem. I've added them to my backup script so if any disappear in the future I'll be able to recover them.

  41. Hey guys, I would love to have the option to add music to several playlists. For example: currently if I want to add "Bad Company's Seagull" to playlists that I have setup I have to do them individually, repeating the process for each playlist that I want to add that song to. I have many playlists and I'd like to have the option to check a song or songs then select all the playlists to add that song to at one time...

  44. Been awhile since I posted this issue. Accidentally found a "fix".(quotes emphasized) When subtitles [EnglishDVDSUB] are selected(standard def media,720 &480 rez) the distorted green lines disappear and the picture appearance is normal.

  45. I was laid up with an illness (not COVID!) for about a week, and spent some time cleaning up my libraries, including setting up collection. I've now got almost 300 collections, and most of that is just from my Horror library. I haven't gotten to Action, Thriller, or SciFi/Fantasy yet. This is all great until I want to add a movie to a collection, then there's a lot of scrolling to get down to "Werewolves". It would be great to have the alphabet jump list on the right side, as us done on the Collections display.

  46. A decade picker sounds great, preferably together with a decades filter - https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/81378-filter-by-decade/
    1 point
  47. Well we have filtering by years already, we just need to support multi-select with it. But something that is equivalent to the alpha picker i think would be useful.
    1 point
  48. Yes i think this would make the most sense.
    1 point
  49. An equivalent of the alpha-picker showing year (or even decade) would be great when sorted by release date, but in the interim, have you tried filtering by year? Too many clicks for my taste, but it narrows things down quickly(-ish)..
