I watch a lot of Emby on my android phone in rather loud places. Is there any way we can add an option to boost/amplify the volume? I listen on a bluetooth earpiece (not headphones) and I have to think others would find this useful.1 point

When you open the "Emby for Android" app on the Nvidia Shield and it prompts you for a PIN, you are presented with a line of numbers to select, allowing anyone to see you enter your PIN, which basically defeats the purpose of having one: With a Peek-Proof prompt like below, you can safely enter your PIN regardless of anyone watching. The circles are filled randomly with numbers 0-9. Just choose the circle that has the digit that you're trying to type in, then move to the circle that contains the next digit. It can be configured so that the numbers in the circle are static until you submit your PIN, or the numbers in the circle can be regenerated every time you choose a circle. Honestly, far more applications should be using this design of PIN entry.1 point

It is TMDB. Note title will be whatever the provide site has as filename is really irrelevant. So is the embedded title. Sure there is a library option but only applies if no internet metadata id found. Prefer embedded titles over filenames This determines the default display title when no internet metadata or local metadata is available. TMDB So you have to manually manipulate the metadata Title to your liking.1 point

Interesting, the issues are no longer there. I added the remote address into emby and restored the user permissions now it works. Thanks mate appreciate your efforts!1 point

It looks like you need to review the user settings for this profile because you've disabled any transcoding or remuxing - the key here is likely remuxing, the devices might not support an audio format for example and it needs to be remuxed rather than direct played. This is a minimal CPU overhead operation. Something else of note, you said you have a cloudflare/nginx reverse proxy setup with certificates but all the traffic in this log is HTTP not HTTPS, so I don't think you're actually taking advantage of this setup. EDIT: Actually looking a little closer I see some information in the headers about it being https so I guess you're just proxying to the HTTP port and that's why it still comes up as an http URL. I know within a home environment you shouldn't really need to proxy to an HTTPS port but it's just a habit I've gotten into from my professional experience with enterprise networks.1 point

Following what FireTV and AndroidTV did is far quicker ? - just allocate numbers to set navigation buttons - 0=OK, 1=Left, 2=Right,3=Up,4=Down, Hamburger=Change to next 5 digits, 5=OK,6=Left etc. Nobody is going to see you quickly use the remote to go Left,Left,Up,Down for example (1134). For it's intended purpose, this is more than sufficient imo.1 point

Not sure if the system restart affected it but after system restarted and launched Emby it was gone from My Media. Will test again to see if I get the same results.1 point

No it doesn't work. Uninstalled Emby TV and as you can see (screenshot) the channels no longer appear and therefore no iteration with Emby. I also tried restarting the NVidia Shield Pro and entering Emby again but it doesn't solve the problem. Therefore the iteration with the HOME of the Android TV only exists with the Emby Android TV App and not with the Android app. Having installed Emby TV (2.1.14) again, the suggested channels (and not recent ones as someone wrote) are there (11 movies maximum), but as already said again and again the suggested channels remain like this, that is, they NEVER change So PLS I hope the developer fixes the problem Hispa1 point

Testing this now as it took almost 12+ hours to show up in My Media, I will guess it with take that long to remove. May have been sooner as it sat overnight and today it was in My Media.1 point

I’m not sure if you misunderstood me. 4.8 had issues so I went to 4.9 - worked perfectly. went back to 4.8 and got original problem again so I ended up starting a new database.1 point

Agree here - there is plenty that needs your attention within the Universal App - this seems a low priority to me, maybe even agree to remove it as it's just something to cause potential support issues down the line ...1 point

Symlinks working or not should be a function of the operating system, not Emby.1 point

Fortunately we have Infuse as a workaround otherwise we would have to look for another media server.1 point

Another IP known for bad behaviour. Honestly, these things are going on all the time; you can't prevent them - so you block them. If your protective software is doing its job, let it (i.e. believe MalwareBytes). Paul1 point

The only way to decently play HDR content from Emby using Apple TV is to use Infuse.1 point

After a while without posting anything I'm going to dig a little into the past. That's not true. I did that and I have never been able to play a movie in one go, the playback always freezes. This has been going on for years. It was reported 4 years ago.1 point

Looks like the "bit-perfect" feature can be tested on any Android phone with Android 14 despite Google statement that it needs to be "turned ON" by each OEM in order to work, therefore, there is an app which it seems to be the first one supporting the feature, the app is called Omnia (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rhmsoft.omnia) and I was able to test it out on my Moto G34 with Android 14 and my FiiO KA1, at first it didn't work but I contacted the developer and after testing several builds the bit-perfect feature finally works. Currently, the app upscales or resamples everything to the maximum resolution that a DAC supports but that is better than getting everything resampled to 48Khz, the developer will continue working to improve the app until every song plays in its native resolution. All this mean that you guys can start the development of this feature in the Emby for Android app and I will be more than happy to test it out for you and provide feedback. Note: for those interested in testing Omnia, please wait until the developer releases the final build with the implementation that works correctly, it should be version 1.7.2 or higher.1 point

Hi everybody I had worked on the new version of this plugin and that was in the test, but the site unfortunately is closed. A new site with part of subscene archive is https://subsource.net/. This site is not as powerful as Subscene but is good. I contacted the owner of this site to make a plugin for his site and give me API, and he said ok, but you must wait because we are in beta mode. I start making the beta version of the plugin for this site until the owner gives me a confirmation. Thanks all1 point

Shuffle in the player coming very soon: Look for it in the 4.9 beta channel in the coming days.1 point

Feature Requests - Bug Fixes - Ideas - Comments - Suggestions Hey fellow Embyians, I'd like to know what you would like to see in upcoming versions of Scripter-X. I'd like to get some feedback from you guys, the valued community members, after all - Scripter-X was initially designed to help you manage and maintain your server/library/functionality using your own customised scripting languages, programs and shell scripts. I'll go through the suggestions and prioritise them based on popularity, development & testing time & the benefit they will bring to the wider Scripter-X community. If I need further information to clarify an idea, comment or suggestion I'll submit a quoted post with your original idea in it. Thank you so much to each and every one of you for your amazing support over the last four years - Emby Scripter-X was officially 'born' on April 8th, 2020, which means it is now just over four years old. The latest Release Version is 5.0.0.5. Kindest regards, Anthony, Developer of Scripter-X I am located in New South Wales, Australia, and my timezone is AUSTRALIAN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (AEST).1 point

it would be nice to have server side dynamic range adjustability per user profile. I believe the windows app has it already but ios and android apps do not have this option that I could see. possibly a better option would be to enable that in all your client applications accross all platforms if possible so that one can adjust the dynamic range of the audio as its super hard to hear voices on my system even with treble and center turned to max. Most movies are like this and it would just be nice to have the future available on all platforms.1 point
