it would be nice to have server side dynamic range adjustability per user profile. I believe the windows app has it already but ios and android apps do not have this option that I could see. possibly a better option would be to enable that in all your client applications accross all platforms if possible so that one can adjust the dynamic range of the audio as its super hard to hear voices on my system even with treble and center turned to max. Most movies are like this and it would just be nice to have the future available on all platforms.

If anyone follows up: There is an option in /etc/conf.d/emby-server which allows you to adjust the used ffmpeg binary.

I guess in theory you would apply a LAN network via Network menu to something besides your LAN to force all LAN devices to be Remote. Or others may know more to do this with your Reverse Proxy. Used the host system no clients on the LAN are able to access locally and are forced to uses WAN. But personally, don't understand the need in your Personal LAN.

No easy way but I guess go to folder view and change view to table and uncheck all column except Title and Filename Example Folder named ABCDEF recognized as Yellowstone in this TEST.

I would pay 50 bugs extra for a good implementation (with maybe 5 settings but not like the unusable 5 subtitle sizes from screen is full to micro size is there anything ... they should be near. for me, without avr directly on TV, it's difficult to watch a movie / show. not only the new ones and action. maybe also a little equalizer and voice levels up... all possible. but my ask is for a drc. that would rock

True as the starting resolution does not change when you change image size in the UI. But Devs will have to comment further.

Nic, If you want to move an entire TV series up or the latest list, then just change one episode to a more recent date. That is easy. Unfortunately to move a TV series down the list, you would have to update all the episodes. Don't bother doing that. Just take whatever show you want to move up and change the one episode add date in metadata editor. You have to actually go to the a single episode and the edit to find that date for that one episode. I hope that makes sense.

That fixes it... So it's definitely related to the plug-in, but I think that add-on only exacerbates how Emby renders the images. All of my playlists display properly once I remove the Cover Art plug-in, except one. In this playlist I have a box set (Marvin Gaye) whose artwork is not square. Emby shrinks everything instead of rendering the box set to fit the other square images. Instead, this playlist shows the artwork slightly smaller than all the rest. So both systems do something a little wonky all by themselves, but when mixed together things get way out of hand. I'm going to live without the Cover Art plug-in for now. That's the quickest way to get things displaying properly for the most part. Thanks for the tip in the right direction. If you need any information to troubleshoot, let me know. Looks cool, but their product appears to be specifically tied to the Plex infrastructure/platform. It'd be nice if they could just offer up links to JSON files, a REST API, or some other useful format.

This will be an interesting one. When LG announced DTS support for some 2023 models TV’s, including all the OLED models, they hadn’t previously allowed older model years to update to newer webOS releases. We have used the webOS version to detect the 2023 models and have allowed DTS where supported. Alas, the goal posts have moved and checking the webOS version is no longer enough. I’m out of town on holiday this week, so when I’m back I’ll investigate how we can more reliably detect supported models with DTS, as upgrading a G2 to webOS 2023 isn’t enough to enable DTS support.

Note for tv shows: it's the data added on the individual episodes that matters, not the date added on the whole show/season.

I am currently loading help files from the web into divs, but i want to be able to close them with a button or just the word close , I can use the button (image) to load them and as a toggle (replace for a close image) to close them but for design i wanted the close on the loaded div container at bottom centre. I thought about a dialog but getting that to work with a vertical scroll bar and an X to close it is a bit advanced for where i am currently at. I wanted the javascipt to work because: 1. i wanted to know how to do it and 2. Incase i wanted to do anything fancy like add settings into the dialog popup..

I just tested that flag and setting it to OpenGL did not resolve the issue for me (Windows 11, Edge Browser).

In my Plex/Emby comparison chart above, I mentioned that Emby's support for Composer tags was "a huge first step." After spending some time with it, I'm seeing just how huge an advantage it is. I no longer have to misuse the Artist tag as a substitute for Composer. I thought this may be a little chaotic, since classical music albums can come in such different forms (soloist-centric, composer-centric, orchestra-centric, etc.), but after "fixing" a couple of albums to be tagged properly, it's coming together very well. The number of albums being stuffed into the "Various Artist" bucket is going down. There will always be some that belong there, but too many are there simply because they could not easily be categorized correctly. This is a game changer for the Emby web application, especially since you added the ability to make the Composer tab the default start page for a library, and with the "Appears On..." hub. When I look at a Composer's detail page, I see the albums that are specifically theirs, as well as other albums where any of their works appear. So, a huge "Thank you!" to Emby for adding these features. I'm eagerly anticipating this capability coming to the Android TV app (I use an nVidia Shield).

In your client app Display settings, you can select number of Genres to be displayed on top of Detail screen. In any case, all Genres will be shown at the bottom of Detail page ("About" section).

Everybody's right, the way I see it on my side is, if I use the EPG supplied by emby on one of my iptv providers, I have to stick with that, but if I use an EPG supplied by an external link, the names are the same, the episode numbers are the same, but photos that go with the TV shows are different. The emby EPG photos of the TV shows are perfectly picked out and showing. External EPG photos of the shows are generally something random of the TV show.. or it is zoomed in and some of the outside parts of the photo is cropped off... Anyways when I can tell the difference between the two types of photos... I automatically know that it's going to have a recording issue.. it's not going to detect the show in the proper folder, it's going to create a new folder, re-record everything from scratch.. However they're saying this week there will be a stable release that will fix the duplicate recordings.. I'm guessing just on the EPG provider that the recordings are married to. But not positive.. hopefully it will fix the complete mess. We will see how well this is done. I wish there was an easy way to have XML links to the emby EPG so that IPTV can be added and edited using sophisticated dedicated m3u and XML or better terms IPTV channels and EPG, programs or websites example, I love to use this iptveditor dot com It is very amazing, I am a paid member. The only way I can get the embys EPG guide to work on IPTV is to manually select each Channel. Or use a customized XML list that I made that sometimes don't work that great.. It would be nice to have more sophisticated IPTV editor within emby. however there's been a lot of work done to the channel list and editor.. and it is amazing already! It's much better than what it used to be Hopefully that update comes out tomorrow, I can't wait to free up all these hard drives.

So I split the Podcasts (still mixed content, doesn't have any issues) and the Webseries (now a movie library) without changing any of the files or folder structures and it appears to not be creating unneeded folders.
