  1. Hello. I have the regular app installed on my Samsung UE55NU7105. I am now trying to install it from a USB stick. Attached is the message I'm getting. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: Well, I don't know exactly what happened, but it seems I managed to do it. Sorry to bother.

  2. This doesn't look right to me. Surely you should forward external port 8096 to internal port 8096. Port 8920 is for https connections only, and if you use it, then external port 8920 should map to internal port 8920. Have you checked that your port 8096 is connectable using https://canyouseeme.org/ and ensure that you put 8096 as the port?

  4. LOL Emby provides no media stream service or media content. So if any discrimination is happening you are doing it to yourself via YOUR MEDIA.

  5. Hey everyone, after a few hours of several steps and changes it seems to work again. I can't tell what exactly made the difference. I hope you didn't spend much time on thinking of my problem. Thank you Michael

  6. Ok, this should be fixed again with 2.4.1.1. Just a dumb dumb on my part. When I 'improved' the bypass for final release, I somehow removed the line of code that actually carries out the bypass.

  7. I think you need the diagnostics plugin to see the User Sessions. Paul

  8. Did you create a backup of Emby before the upgrade that you can restore to try again? Unless the Emby team can come up with a quick fix that might be your best option. To go back to 4.5 and upgrade thru each minor release up to 4.8.x. I say minor but with Emby the minors are pretty major.

  9. unchanged, but it did cause me to look a little deeper, I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the Android TV app not the server side, checked it in a browser window and it's fine and also Emby Theater also picks it up correctly

  11. The issues is there are hardcoded list limits currently set to 30. As we just had a discussion on the Quality selection having the same issue in certain conditions. @Luke virtualChunkSize:30

  12. Yes as mentioned your database is locked usually from a crash improper shutdown. Please follow the section to unlock the db. https://emby.media/support/articles/Corrupt-Database.html?q=corrupt#:~:text=Remove Database Locks

  13. Thanks for the idea! Just tried it out and it seems that the ffmpeg version emby is using when called with the same parameter then the resulting file still contains the Dolby Vision stream. To be honest I'm not 100% sure what impact of the unofficial flag is besides this, since the ffmpeg documentation also only really says the following: "allow unofficial extensions". That's why I would kind of want this to be a feature flag / setting, even though it probably should not have any impact. FFmpeg Codecs Documentation I will try out the TS file conversion later to see if that works, but ideally I like my files to be in a more widely used format, but also a very good hint! Next step would be to set up some file watcher or regular job to run my command, but since Emby already has a built in functionality to convert new files I kind of would like to use it.

  14. If you use the actual emby ffmpeg (located in the 'system' folder within emby) - does that have the necessary function ? Emby use a custom ffmpeg - so it may not have the -strict unofficial functionality. Then there is the case of support - if they opt to use the above syntax, then how does that impact the 'official' way of doing it .. (pretty sure they just do a -c:a copy -c:v copy today). Adding a 'custom' option will bring many support questions - and probably not something emby would want to do - and frankly, if you know ffmpeg syntax - then writing a quick script as part of a pre or post processing of your files will likely be a better solution ? btw - have you tried saving as a TS file (transport stream) in the Emby Convert function - from memory, this container supports DV on the LG (but may also need the -strict, I'm not sure ..)

  15. If you have Premiere, yes as it would use the Nvidia card or the built in Asics on the i5-8400. If you don't have Premiere, than no, as you would be software transcoding. So when you are experiencing stuttering, is it transcoding, or direct playing? You can go to the server dashboard and it will tell you, and then go to the User Sessions tab and it will give you more information.

  16. Hi. Actually, no. The real problem is on the server communicating with the tvdb. Installing the other app will simply avoid it in this instance.

  17. Alright, thanks. For Windows, there's a new Emby App coming (beta is very close) and the WMC UI for Windows will move to this new platform as well (shortly after). This will fix the issue automatically.

  20. Most excellent. E4K is now populating hdrtype for mkv and I can see the flags in skins that support it. Heads up to others I did have to do a rebuild on movies/tvshows before it showed. I did not check HLG as I no longer have anything in my library with that hdrtype, but I'm sure videorange supports HLG when I had it in the past so it should work.

  21. There are changes in 4.8 to some internal methods. Keep an eye out for build errors around the .AsSpan() methods on strings. Guess the core devs decided not to use them again... Until the next release when they'll put it back.

  24. I think i mentioned this last time, but its an mp4 vs mkv issue. mp4 gives a codec, mkv does not. Side note, .ts files also give a codec code.

  28. Hello chef, recently i started trying your plugins again, is there any way to add mixed content directory in root selection ? or even automatically select root (based on registered series path), or is this root is needed for custom smart match ? also is it possible to create custom smart match for series ?

  29. Would be great if you could adjust the volume using the mouse wheel in the Emby Theater client for Windows. I am a long time Emby for WMC user and normally use the remote control for volume. Recently I have been using Emby Theater on another PC without a remote and notice how cumbersome it is to click on the volume slider with the mouse pointer. I have previously got used to using the mouse wheel for volume control using Potplayer which is much simpler, faster and more precise.

  30. I turned off frame rate matching and it seemed to fix the audio issue. Thanks for the help, I don't know what I am missing out on without that option, but I think I rather have the audio in sync, it was very annoying.

  36. This absolutely should be working within Emby. You requested this over 2 years ago, and it still has not been done. Every user would appreciate this being added, and it is relatively simple to add. Yet, as with a lot of requests, yours has been ignored. However, I am doing as was suggested to me by an Admin, and am adding my support to your suggestion. Let's hope it actually gets added some time in the next, say, ten years?

  37. There clearly nis discrimination against the hearing impaired whether intentional or not. Your attempts to state that this is not the case indicate that you do not understand what discrimination against the handicapped really involves. It really is a complicated issue and it comes down to one thing: access. I've been living with it my entire life and now, on behalf of my child, I am fighting against it. I will be filing a complaint with the DOJ and possibly with my state as well' But even if Emby decided to do the right thing and make handicap access completely accessible, I will not be using this product anymore. There are other alternatives available that respect the rights of the handicapped. Thank you for excluding us.
