  2. I don't think it happens all of the time but often my tv goes to the next episode despite my preference to not automatically play the next episode.

  3. Step to reproduce it: Star a recording in live tv. Wait for example 15min, star playing the recording while in progress, try to seek. I'll look into the log and I'll attach it...

  6. I forgot to answer you on this matter. Firstly, this specific model doesn't have a GPU so I can't use it for Emby. But I knew that when buying it, so that's not the NAS fault. I'm using a 10GB NIC, so there is no room for any GPU. But there are a few problems with Synology and this NAS. 1. Synology is and has been removing support for third party hardware that worked before 2. Synology is slowly forcing you to only use their hardware, be it NICs, RAM, drives, etc. There are a lot more expensive, and many of them outdated or hard to come by 3. When I bought it there wasn't support to use NVMe as the system drive, only cache drives, and you can't control how the cache is used. 4. Performance! I've got NVMes, SSD and quick HDDs in this NAS, as well as 32GB RAM. Only half the RAM is used, there is a lot of disk swapping, and even though I've managed to put the OS (and containers) on the NVMes, the OS is distributed to all disks, and it reads from all disks, not just a backup. So I've bought one of these Chinese ITX motherboards with a mobile 12700h CPU on full power. Initial tests show that this is a monster for transcoding while using very little power. There is a problem with passing though a GPU to a container/VM in TrueNAS Scale if you only have one GPU, but the apps are fine. Though I've been running on the beta version of Emby for a long time, I'd rather not go back to Stable, and I'm not sure if a restore to Stable from a Beta backup will work? Anyways, please consider making the Emby beta server available for TrueNAS Scale

  7. @Lukethanks, worked perfectly, in case someone needs to do this: 1 - NAS1 with OS3 updated to OS5 2- Emby reinstalled with OS5 version on top of OS3 version 3- Copy Emby Server Data folder and embyserver app folder to NAS2 (of course with all media data in NAS2 before doing it) 4 - Reboot the Server Done.

Just my 2Ct

  9. I actually went through this very process about a month ago (Emby Server on Windows 10 > UnRAID) so I have a little experience on it. I would say the simplest, cleanest and minimal ongoing management would be to use a reverse proxy like NPM or SWAG (which includes Fail2Ban) Here is a helpful guide from one of the community members on that very process: If you are a Premiere user, using the Backup/Restore plugin will come in handy to backup your general settings, users, watch history, etc. However I would probably start with clean libraries instead of trying to change their paths (they'll need a full scan anyway) - you can minimize the required bandwidth by storing image and NFO metadata alongside the media. Give it a read through and tackle it when you're ready. Happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck!

  12. The issue (locking up at user creation) occurs with Firefox and Edge on the same machine as well.

  13. Ah, that's proly it then. I'll add an external player, like VLC or something. I've considered converting everything to MKV plenty of times, but just don't have the time. Thanks Luke !!!!

  14. Your external IP address is assigned by your internet service provider as stated above. They can provide either a static (unchanging) IP address, or a dynamic IP address. If it is dynamic, it may change on a fairly regular basis without your knowledge or control. If it is static, it should remain the same. Most consumer IP services provide dynamic. It may not change all that often, but it is subject to change. If you have a dynamic address, the problem would be accessing from a remote location as the address is subject to change. To eliminate this problem you could get a DyDNS name for your IP address. DyDNS gives you the ability to create a name (youripname.com) and through the use of a small piece of software installed on your computer or router, it informs the DyDNS service everytime the IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) address changes. Some routers have the service installed within their firmware. You just need to set up the DyDNS account and enter the appropriate information into the router. You cannot pick your external IP address. If you use proxies, VPN's, etc., you are getting in far deeper than this quick explanation provides. Hope that helps.

  15. The server is most likely being denied write access to whatever temp folder you configured.

  18. And you're sure Chrome didn't just force redirect you again? The address in your address bar actually reads http://app.emby.media and you have no lock icon?

  20. @codechurnyou'll have to run a quick test to see if your provider is serving up HLS. If not stream master might be a better option. I got it running on windows using docker desktop without much fuss. The only thing I had to fight with a little was the storage mapping configuration so that the configs were actually written to the windows filesystem somewhere. Streammaster did seem to perform pretty well as a buffer and channel manager in testing but I found it had some issues when I tried to add additional playlists and select channels across more than one source, it would throw a weird error. Also had weird glitches where saving a setting wouldn't be reflected in the UI unless I did a hard refresh. Will probably revisit it in the future to see how it develops over time.

  21. Hello Team, an option to disable burning in subtitles systemwide to avoid the high cpu usage of this process would be nice! Eventually do not even show such subs as option if disabled. Greetings!
