Hi, is it possible to have the use choice screen to come up on each app opening ?

Looking to the original MCE, the main menu is verically round: it is possible if you are at the top, to click on an arrow to go to the bottom in one click. Also at the bottom, it is possble to click on an arrow to go to the upper-side in one click: 'vertically round'...? As the traditional Emby gui is not using the MCE vertical+horizontal 'cross' UI (is that correct term for this MCE ui part?), it is probably currently not jet possible in the WMC gui interface ....? Try to make it as good as MCE and implement this matter in WMC gui, please. Thanks & best regards, Peter

So far I have checked and run all of my outstanding windows updates. I’ve switched off IPv6 which means I now can’t RDP into the server for some reason but thankfully I have TeamViewer on it so I can still get on that way. I’ve checked every device installed for updated drivers and everything is up to date. I’ve tried restarting Emby and it is just very slow to respond to anything and the memory is still skyrocketing. This only started a couple of days ago. Not sure why it has started doing it, it’s worked perfectly especially remotely from my GirlFriend’s house. I’ve order 16GB of RAM to arrive tomorrow so hopefully that will help but it was working fine with 4GB before.

Sony seems to support everything, just like Firesticks. I became a Sony user by accident but once I did I got spoiled. My first 4K TV was a 2013 model I bought in 2014 on closeout because the new models were coming out....and it has 120hz refresh rate, which to me is one of the most important features because I will not buy any TV without at least this refresh rate because it takes motion issues out of the mix. All TVs with 60hz refresh rate have some form of judder control but they are all hit or miss and I can see issues immediately at any setting. I still have this TV in the den but it has a Firestick because it's smart features are limited and the picture is still quite good. My two new Sony TVs are Google TVs and after I got used to the interface I like them especially since I never even calibrated either and they look awesome and they play everything. My problem is most of my users are cheap and buy on sale TVs. They brag about how cheap this or that set was on sale and all I can think of is "you get what you pay for" and a $400 65" TV is only for people who can't afford anything else.....no slight there as I know plenty of people who can't.

OK this has been improved and resolved in the upcoming 4.8 server release, so once that is released, and once we have an LG app update after that, then this will be resolved for you. Thanks.

Most people wouldn't understand or even know about this. What I don't know is does this affect a disc played by a stand alone player if using the TV sound? Because most of my discs have DTS sound. For us it's not as big of a deal as I just re-encode the sound to something compatible and it really doesn't take that long....well until you realize you have several thousand discs to do. I care more about the PGS subtitles and it makes no sense that LG does not support them, at least to me. I was eyeing an LG OLED as my next den TV but that won't happen now, it'll be a Sony.

You can run Windows Server OS with at least 2 or 4GB of RAM, but the perofmance will be poor. smoon

That's what all the makers should do. Put it in the premium sets and let the consumer decide if they want to pay extra for licensing fees for DTS.

The M series are from 2017. I believe SamES has one from that year also.

That's what it was. Normally the users who got the prompt use a media PC and that's where we checked the playback settings, but they had just recently setup and signed into the Emby app on a Roku. I didn't think about checking the playback settings on there. Since it was a different device it had defaulted to yes for the prompt. I had them set it to no, so it should be fine. Thanks!

I am not sure this is applicable but I wonder if that prompt is one of the things that can get set both on the server and in the client. But i do not know for sure. However in problems that involves computers if something that should work correctly does not one of the first things to try would be power cycle everything. I know I do not have that prompt but I do not have any users except me so my situation is different from yours. Good luck. Edit: I just checked, I just can't leave a puzzle alone, and that prompt has a setting on my Roku in settings which means that there are three possibilities: 1. That is just leftover programming from when it was implemented on the client 2. It has to be enabled on both client and server and the client setting has president 3. The client setting is actually the only one that matters I have also found that not all client/server settings are the same on various clients.

No idea how much of a change it would be but one idea could be to keep the 2x3 next to the title and have one of the larger images zoomed and dimmed/blurred? Soemthing similar to this? I dont want a playlist, and I assume I dont want a view, but since there is no info on what a view is, we want collections. I dont disagree but its not my product, hence I just use plex, there are a bunch of issues that emby has when it comes to like DV/HDR with appleTV, these collections, not knowing whos using a premier license, there also isnt any formal time frames on things so I just check back every now and then but keep driving plex as it works better. There is obviously a way to add recently added/released to the homescreen so it seems like there is some kind of mechanism for it, not sure why that couldnt be applied to collections or whatever the new item is even if just only in the API for now until the more enhanced feature set is rolled out. Im not sure how they decide what features to add, it doesnt seem to be user feedback driven, it also wouldnt surprise me if the devs said yeah we dont even use emby on the daily, we tend to just use netflix or xxx streaming service. Many game dev/designers dont always play the games they design so I wouldnt be shocked

not sure that would help in this ask, they want to be able to add recommendations to an individual movie page, like the 'more like this' but based on a new ai approach.

The answer is the smart views/playlists feature when that happens. Then a plugin could just create one of those.

Agree with this one, on an episode I tried it, subtitles were 35 seconds behind the speech, that's 35000ms! A box to type in would be nice, perhaps choose units too

Or it could be people just don't know how or are lazy to report it. I'm also a developer and at my company, employees rarely reports bugs, if at all. We have an auto-send log feature with our app, and that's how I learn when things are broken. I even make phone calls to employees sometimes just to get more info. So I wouldn't assume people aren't using it. Maybe they want to, but since it's not working properly, people are either dealing with it partially working or are just waiting for it to be fixed.

I have two versions of a film. The default is version A, but the chapter times and names appearing in the interface, and when I play it, are from version B. Any way to fix this?

I really like the alternate version dropdown feature, though.

It's a good idea for the future though.
