Recently, I noticed YouTube has implemented a new feature in its player where users can hold on video being played to fast-forward the video by 2x speed. I have also noticed the same feature on some other platforms and I found this feature really helpful. So I request to add this feature in the next build. Thanks.

Dearly beloved, I am a loyal user of Emby, which I have been using for years on my Terramaster nas with great satisfaction. Recently, however, I started to include an audiobook section and realized that Emby handles them as if they were actually records of music. So I would like to propose to the authors of this magnificent software to devise a dedicated audiobook management and a book management based on the characteristics of a book rather than a disc. Sort of like Calibre does, for instance. And it would be important to be able to use a specialized metadata search engine on books when making the association, like GoodReads, Anobii and the like (Calibre and its plugins can be a great source of inspiration). Your first promise to implement these features was in 2019. It would be nice if you put together a team of programmers dedicated to this project, which would make Emby definitely superior to Plex Thanks

Guys, The ebook side of Emby/MediaBrowser has been long stalled or rather stagnated. I would like to offer up a couple of suggestions. Many people use calibre as an ebook/comic book tool for scraping data and general management of their collection already. This program is absolutely astonishing in its ability to pull metadata from post calibre scans, as well as draw in metadata from the file source and/or directory structure. http://vaemendis.net/ubooquity/ Its a self contained .jar server/reader combination. And honestly I am very impressed by it's small footprint and wide range of abilities. The other option is COPS , which was written specifically with calibre in mind. It is open source, so making it work with emby I would think would be fairly easy. https://blog.slucas.fr/projects/calibre-opds-php-server/ Ever since the original release of MediaBrowser's bookshelf I have always wanted something that would allow me to 'read' my collection, rather than being basically nothing more than a place-set for images of books I own. I am sure that those who mainly have audiobooks are thrilled with bookshelf , but it's nothing more than an extension of the music library IMHO, not new features. We can have both right? Here I give you two suggestions free of charge.. Just because I love you, and Emby Personally I plan on running the Ubooquity Server along side of Emby from now on, just because of it's massive functionality and tiny footprint. But I sure hope that someone decides -- "yeah, ebook support should be in here too" and do something about it - rather than allow this now very very ancient issue to continue to remain an issue. And so I don't have to have 20 different ports open, some with SSL support - some not, because Emby isn't delivering the 'complete package'. (Please take some of this with humor, I know you have your hands full with improvements/bugs/suggestions/requests)

Hello, I've been using the plugin since day one of buying Emby premiere and noticed this issue a while ago, but since I'm seeing allot of new updates to the plugin this week I figured I'd bring it up. When going to Emby using a browser, and using the external link such as https://myemby.com (example not actual website) it doesn't show the stats. The Statistic tab is there in the dashboard but it doesn't show anything but the titles as seen here: BUT, if I connect to my Emby server using a browser and Local IP such as https://12.1.1.1:portnumber it shows me everything as intended. Is this on purpose or is it a bug? Thanks.

I've been having the same issue. Happens about every 10m for me. Using Emby Theater on Windows. If I instead cast the files from Emby Theater to an mpv shim I do not have this issue. So it seems entirely to be a client issue.

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm in the right section of the forum or not, but I would like to know if it's possible to add an option in the notification settings to avoid getting a notification for every start/stop of "Cinema intro" Pre-Roll videos. I would only like to receive notifications for movie playback stop events. Thank you in advance. Best regards.

It actually use to be that press once for 2x, press twice for x4, and press and hold for highspeed fastforward in a lot of apps and for some reason they got away from it. It's more than a bit annoying.

I fixed the Channels plugin bugs, and the new plugin is attached below. I plan to figure out today how to start a new thread for this plugin. I also extended the plugin to include all of the VirtualTv data. Vic Emby.Channels.dll

Right now you seem to have a double NAT condition. Check the Firewall -> IP Passthrough settings to see what allocation and passthrough modes you're in. If they look correct then reboot the Asus router, not the gateway.

The other question is: what specific improvements are you looking for? Can you share examples of things that aren’t working for you now? It’s possible they are just related to the structure of your library in which case even beta won’t help you.

Yup, I have checked it but I'm back at Nginx as I found it much more convenient for me. For the time being it's problem just with Theater but replaced libmpv is working so it's okay for me.

Is my memory failing me, or did we formerly have the ability to enable thumbs view in the Android TV app? I don't seem to have it anymore.

Never mind, I must have switched away from the sideloaded app at some point.

My bad, Just updated and noticed the new section, checked the changelog for 4.8.0.57 and it was listed there, did not realise it was a cumulative changelog. P.S. There is no option to hide watched from New Releases, unless it's elsewhere. Can this be added or is it out of scope for this?

Just an update for those still looking for Recently Released Movies section in the Home Screen. 4.8.0.57-beta added the option to the Homescreen section in the App settings WARNING: Upgrading to beta is not reversable without a proper backup. You will not be able to switch back to 4.7 stable. You should be able to switch to 4.8 stable when it is released, but no guarantees . If you were using SmartPlaylist plugin to display Recent Releases on Homescreen, or for anything else for that matter, it currently does not work in 4.8, at all.

Hello everyone, I have just reinstalled everything. Now it works as it should. The CPU cores are now all being used. When I open my music library, all entries are there immediately, so there is no significant waiting time. Best regards morskipas

Define "soon". Can you at least give some indication about the update without giving us the full the Changeling?

Are we going to get any kind of meaningful update to the Apple TV app any time soon? I don't want to sound like a Karen here but if you release an app on a platform then you are obligating yourself to update it. If you don't have the manpower with the relevant time or coding experience to write for Apples platform then you should be open and honest about that. Is there any reason why the Apple TV app lacks the UI or customization of the Android version? The amount of people I see on Reddit who say they just use Infuse and connect to Emby that way should tell you everything you need to know about the state of your app.

Every 10m or so playback will just stop and I have to go out of the video and back into it for it to work again. I am using Emby Theater on Windows 11. If I instead cast the same files from Emby Theater to an mpv shim there are no such issues. I have gigabit download speed and a very powerful pc. Also other clients don't have this same issue. I've attached the beginning of the log file and also from when I started playback till when the issue occurred. I anonymized all IP addresses and domains for privacy. Unfortunately I was not the only one playing a file at the same time so there is also data from another client. The client with the issue is Frost-PC-Win11 embyserver.txt
