  4. So, just to update, if any is seeing the same issue. It did indeed work getting the Public IP from my service provider and the server is up and running again. The users had some difficulties getting back onto the server, it was manageable though.

  5. Apologies if this is a dupe with 190 pages of requests it is had to make sure. IMDB and themoviedb both have a lists feature and whilst i realize we cant use IMDB as a data source i use it here to show the concept (since it is easier to google examples that themoviedb). If a list could be the source of a collection tag it opens the door to some quite nice views. For example: TOP 100 BEST DISASTER FILMS https://www.imdb.com/list/ls002913604/ Top 100 Greatest Movies of All Time https://www.imdb.com/list/ls055592025/ Cult Pics https://www.themoviedb.org/list/120552

  7. An old thread, but this was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you zfrenchy, for putting this in such a straight to the point way.

  10. Emby for android uses push notifications but it is not a tracker. It is used with the download feature so that your Emby server can notify the Android app that a download is ready.

  11. Tried it and it worked. Had to re-run my my permissions since both Emby servers have different permissions, but it worked.

  12. most likely your WAN ip has changed. how have you been accessing emby remotely? WAN IP or did you set up a DDNS? Plex doesnt require this because everything is routed through their servers

  13. Thanks, I was looking for that yesterday but under compressed time needing to be somewhere I could not find it. I'll do it next time I go up in a week or so.

  14. Hi Looks like you are referencing MusicBrainz. In Picard their tagging program. You can choose the "separator" for multiple tags. See below.. -vicpa

  15. I reckon you'd need some more proof that that is your email and account linked to it, but you can PM @Abobaderand/or @ebrwith some more details and they should be able to sort you out.

  16. so i was right... "not enough" LMAO! all joking aside its refreshing to have someone who is knowledgeable, understands and gives proper responses. i don't post often, but have been using Emby few years now and have hundreds of dollars invested in the software. To read BS responses is unnerving. But, you live and learn thru users like yourself. Kudos

  18. Thanks for that. I've unchecked the ones that don't provide useful info but just wanted to report it. Always have appreciated your feedback. Whatever they pay you. it isn't enough

  19. That's a known issue, reported some time ago in: Don't think much can be done in that respect as that is legacy function repurposed for current one.

  20. And they all mostly do. It's just those two that are missing it and need to be added.

  21. True but the devil is in the details and also the flow of how certain tasks are accomplished.

  22. Media servers are in general. They are mostly, to me, rows of movies, rows of TV series, rows of TV episodes, rows of songs, rows of albums...

  23. Its my friends server. It was working fine for a while until he added more users. Maybe he gave two of us the same user profile. I'm going to bug him about it lol. Thanks

  24. Hi, we'll check with our guide data provider. It's primarily a matter of what it will cost us and whether or not we have enough live tv users in Poland to justify it. Ideally though we'd like to have guide data for as many countries as possible.

  27. Thanks yeah don't think the specs say anything just mention FLAC but don't get to that level so probably right. I converted it to 8-channel AAC and seems OK now. Not sure if there is a better format to convert it to that a consumer would ben able to do.

  28. Thank you for voicing where the basic form of Emby comes from. However could you PLEASE not mention Apple when discussing Emby. I try very hard to keep all things "Apple" out of my environs. I suppose they are no more "evil" than Google or Microsoft I just get a sick feeling whenever Apple enters a conversation. I have some of the same complaints about Apple that I have about Plex and the biggest single complaint I have about both is that their interfaces are way too cluttered with "pretty." I don't need or want "pretty." But I do want functionality and that is where Plex fails. It is not that Plex does not work it is that Plex hides the good stuff under layers and layers of fluff. Using Plex is a lot like needing a good meal and having to dig through 60 kilos of lime flavored cotton candy to get at the steak that lies hidden underneath.

  29. You can modify the timeout in your reverse proxy configuration and increase it to limit websocket disconnection (if your reverse proxy accepts websockets). The purpose of this FR is to apply Emby's own websocket management to prevent connections from being open for 1 hour or more on the various reverse proxies.

  30. @Lee @seanbuff @arrbee99 An option is being added to control the display of posters on detail screens. This will allow you to add the poster in TV layouts, which up until now has not been configurable. This will also allow you to take it out from non-TV layouts if you wish, like for example the web app on a desktop.

  32. Update: Next 8.3.0 (build 403) version is still under development. Huge changes are necessary due fully support all sorts of Emby Metadata (and its Features). Also I'm on vacation for the next 3 weeks starting by Monday. Please be patient and don't expect the regular response time.

  34. It works mostly well on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (without keyboard). But I have to double tap on the input fields to get the on screen keyboard to come up and when scrolling the highlight doesn't change but items can be tapped.
    1 point
  35. Yes, we will get to that. There are also a number of other imperfections regarding scrolling (like via mouse wheel). In some areas (like this one), there's still some technical debt for unifying specialties of the WMC UI with the core client code, and effort spent on perfection before that integration work might be just wasted. But this will definitely be fixed, eventually. Thanks

  36. To clarify: It is planned to make it working on tablets with touch input. What will not be supported is phone screens. In portrait orientation: no way, landscape would work like on tablets but the size is way too small to have any joy with it and adaptions for that are not planned.

  37. Sorry for the necro post... I use ulttracc and I had a hard time getting the emby apps to work, so hopefully this helps for ppl that had the same issue I did and a search engine brought you here (like me) -its possible to get the emby app to work if you log into the web version. Go to the dashboard and it will display the remote wan access IP. It will say something like 123.456.789.012:8096 When you install emby from the ultra.cc control panel it will look like the pic below. Use the remote IP given on the emby dashboard with the port displayed on your ultracc control panel and it will allow you to log in using the app.

  38. I can tell you for sure this is not the case. We do everything we can to prevent these guys from using us. That is really why we have the device limits.
