  1. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but is it possible to show the container/bitrate when viewing an album? This is related to my original request: And was partially addressed in 4.7 with the new table view: And while I can change the libraries to use table view, I cannot seem to find an option to do so when viewing an album. If it is available, kindly point me to a resource on how to enable it. While I'm at it, this would be great for the search, too. NOTE: I know that I can click on the three dots next to a song on the album and then click on the info icon to see this, but that is a few extra clicks, and I may not have an entire album in the same container/bitrate. RATIONALE: I buy a ton of used CDs and digital music and am slowly replacing MP3s with lossless. When I'm in the store, not only do I want to check if I have an album, but whether I have the whole album and whether I have it in lossless format. NOTE: I'm running Version 4.8.0.45 beta and will soon upgrade to the latest beta.

  3. yeah it looks like it ignores them if they are not external IPs looking at the beta now, found the setting under network in the settings, it looks like you can force to always use them so hopefully that will solve my issue.

  4. i have no issue with the favourites functionality or its placement. but my expectation is that a watchlist feature would get far more use by a far wider user base than favourites do. i've been an emby user since day 1 and i don't think i've ever used favourites.

  6. It looks like 4.1.20 is the latest available right now from the Plugin Catalog. Is there another location for 4.7 or the beta 4.8? Nevermind I see that you are talking server version...

  7. It certainly is bizarre and is the first time since I started using Emby a long long time ago that I have had a problem. I will advise on what happens when I reinstall Trakt (note that I will not be running the import as I do not think that is needed).

  10. Mixed content libraries require Season subfolder(s) for item to be identified as a Series, hence create Season 1 subfolder in your Death Parade TV show folder and move S01 episodes into it, run Scan media library afterwards.

  11. What version of Emby? Current stable ignores them. There's a selection in beta to configure handling of headers.

  12. Not sure why the first track would be an indicator that all the other tracks are the same container ? Maybe check them all, then make a decision - but this could equally apply for the quality. I would love to see the Album quality appear as a displayed field on the clients, currently I'm having to do the logic myself and then append it to the Album 'Description' which looks a little out of place vs a nicely placed 'FLAC' or even 'FLAC 24Bit 96Khz' if you are an audiophile ..

  13. Agree 100% - this is exactly what the 'Recommended' script I wrote did a few years back, the concept of adding to a 'Global/Shared' list was there also. It was just very janky and you had to add via a 'Playlist' as that still is the only way for client 'user input' (outside favorites) - but it worked... lol We may be getting closer and Luke may be working on it as we speak, but tbh I'm just so surprised that emby doesn't have this as standard - and frankly should have been top of the list years ago ..

  14. the main two differences i see in how i would expect or like a watchlist function to work are: watched media to be automatically removed from the watchlist to have some sort of shared watch list functionality to replace the top picks plugin i'd also really like the watchlist to be a row of movies and series on my homescreen, so its much more in your face than favourites is, but i imagine thats quite easy to do

  15. Thank you that worked, i just unticked the checkbox and tadaaaa It's taking longer to start playing the episode though (i'm guessing transcoding) But now i can watch everything through emby, you will be missed VLC you were are the best

  16. It sounds like you are trying to connect to someone else's Emby Server, so you would have to ask them why it's no longer connecting. The Emby app doesn't come with any content or any servers by itself.

  17. User24 doesn't have too much hope. This filter has been requested by many users for so many years and the developer does as they please that I no longer hope to see a filter decades in the future. It is also for this lack of listening to developers and the absence of decade filters that I no longer use Emby and that I now only use competitive software... Yet it's something so simple to implement... In the competitive software, I use this filter EVERY day!

  19. Tbh its a good thing to add [TvdbId=xxxxxx] It will help a lot with identifying tv-shows. If you take the show Charmed and Charmed (2018) they where always mixed up. Until I added [TvdbId=xxxxxx] to my folder structure.

  20. Try with folder name conan (2010) [TvdbId=194751] fore Party down you have this enabled in your tv library Disable that and refresh metadata. As you only have season 03

  21. The server is not doing the conversion for some reason. @softworkzwhy is it trying to stream copy the DTS track when the app is clearly indicating DTS is unsupported?

  25. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I synced the GID UID and I had to do something else, but I don't remember exactly. I learned a lot during that time. For starters; Better to know Linux and a good understanding of file and directory permissions if you're messing with configuration. Thanks everyone for making this conversation more interesting and solvable .

  27. Seconded. I can filter by year but not by decade.

  28. I would like to see this option. Currently I have added a genre to each movie for its decade; royal pia.

  29. If you get the error "Application cannot be started. Please contact the application vendor" when attempting to install either the Windows Server or Media Browser Theater, please try the following: Clear your ClickOnce Cache by running the following command at a command prompt on the problem machine: rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache ClickOnce is a Microsoft Deployment Technology that we use to deliver our installer and ensure that all required 3rd-party components are also installed on the target machine. Next: Disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security. See http://www.visualwin.com/IE-Enhanced-Security-2008/ In very rare cases, even the above won't work. If this is still the case for you, the other only solution Microsoft has is to re-create the user profile on the machine. Finally, if you're running Windows 7, ensure that Service Pack 1 (SP1) is installed. You can do this using Windows Updates.

  30. Would it be possible to group music together in decades, and then be able to play a decade of music ?? Napster, Spotify and other online music suppilers list their music channels by year and decades, which is very useful when you want an evening of 60s, 70s or 80s etc., so just wondered if MB3 could do that for our personal Music collections as well ?? TIA.

  31. No streaming service I've ever used has removed things from the watch list after watching them. Other than the absence of a home screen row favourites works no differently to Netflix's "my list". Prime, MUBI, the Criterion Channel, Stan, Binge, and Kanopy all hide their watch lists in a sub menu and thus function exactly as Emby's "favourites" already does.

  32. HI, the information is tied to the tracks, not the album. But maybe we could grab the container from the first track.
