Similar to this old post, I'm suggesting a tab that would be titled Watchlist and could be placed in between Suggestions and Favorites. The functionality would pretty much be a copy of Favorites, just with a + symbol added next to the heart and other symbols that let you favorite a movie etc. The previous post had mentioned extra functionality such as automatically removing a movie from Watchlist after it has been watched. This would be nice, but is unnecessary because after watching a movie you can simply click the + symbol a second time to remove it from Watchlist. I would imagine this would be very easy to implement as a rebranded copy of Favorites. Adding other features could come later. Edit: added link to old post

Pretty simple suggestion. I have multiple users for my Emby server. If I want to do continuous maintenance on the media, I have to tell everyone. some of them are harder to reach than others ( i.e. no Facebook or Skype chat etc. ) It would be great if say... on the admin panel, I could hit a check box that enables 'maintenance mode', where the server still runs does everything as normal, but instead of the login screen it displays a maintenance page saying the server is unavailable. Even better if I were able to directly put a reason in a text box that would then display on the login screen as well. Not really sure what others would think of this, but for me it would be quite helpful. mostly if I want to make sure no one is trying to access content I know won't work until I've done a full library scan again. In my house, I would like to see a User Profile selection similar to Netflix. Using my single logon, I would like my family to choose between who is watching. That way each of us can watch shows without marking it watched for someone else. In this scenario, I would have a 4 users in a Family Group using the same username/password.

For sure, I just went ahead and ditched the third party docker, got the permission issue sorted on the official docker and all is well now.

Looking at Apple TV again. I am not seeing thumbnails when scrubbing through a movie or tv show like I do with my Android devices.

Well our new app update was approved by Samsung pretty quickly, so that's good news. Now we just have to wait for them to actually release it, and unfortunately, sometimes this can take a long time, like a month or more. But that's at least progress.

Hi, yes, I was transferring the database between the servers, depending on which one was active.Here's how it worked, before the main server went into sleep mode, it would stop Emby and then wake up the backup server. Using rsync, the script would then move the appdata, (which includes the database) to the backup server and then start Emby there. When it was time for the main server to come back online, the procedure was executed in reverse, the appdata and database were synced back to the main server. This ensured the database, and consequently the watch history, was consistently current on the active machine. It worked well and i didnt have an issue with it. However, I'm now venturing into a different approach. Probably in hindsight, perhaps I should just keep it as it was !!

It is already fixed, on last post he said that it was a misunderstanding from him, he had repeated two of the Home Screen sections with the same library on the Home Screen settings.

This! I just logged in to second this. Please just try using emby with audiobooks for maybe a week or so. You will run into many UX-issues which really stress you out. Additionally I have a lot of problems with continuing audiobooks from where I stopped. Many chapters will show as 80% completed looking at the progress bar although I listened to them fully. They are not marked as done. When I try to play them again it immediately skips to the next chapter. It's all a bit confusing. I think a lot of it could be solved using a clear guide and/or the developers actually using it for audiobooks for something like a week.

In future updates, our android and iOS apps will have a notifications feature directly in the app, and users will be able to enable notifications for new media. So stay tuned for that.

i have thousands of obscure things... lots of shorts, things not on imdb, alternate versions of things etc.. and every time i have to move and redo my setup/re-import everything i have to spend days identifying things in my movie library... but there is no real way to do it... have to manually add an image and name etc... with plex i can just click one button UNMATCH and it removes the usually misidentified match/metadata and replaces it with the thumbnail and filename. just finding the mismatched items that aren't on imdb is a full days work ; ) : ( i'd kill for an unmatch button : )

If that is the case, then there is no reason to have individual descriptions or covers for each and every chapter/track; nor the ability to reorder tracks. Also, separating tracks and embedded chapters in the UI is confusing and unintuitive. So, either way it's done wrong. Either you're assuming audiobooks function the same as podcasts and so the reasoning why UI elements remain is because of a flawed concept; or you don't associate the two, and then the explanation just comes down to that it's unfinished. Don't get me wrong. I like Emby, and I use it regularly for video. And I will be happy to provide specific feedback, in a constructive manner, as to why it's not an optimal experience for audiobooks. But I need you to have an understanding, beyond the surface level of what I'm saying, of why I'm saying it. I need you to actually use it for audiobooks so you can understand why it needs improvement, beyond just the bare minimum of basic functionality. Then we won't have to have a back-and-forth as to why Author corresponds to the Artist tag, and Narrator corresponds to the Composer tag; or why Audnexus is a better source for metadata than Musicbrainz; or that audiobook collections should not pull metadata/covers from themoviedb; among other things. The current implementation for audiobooks still leaves much to be desired, and it would benefit the process if the people working on it experienced first-hand why that is.

I'll ping you the latest DLL over PM - if you had the Plugin before - then you know what's what ps - remember to turn off the Core Task (and delete all the .fp files once you are happy with the Plugin)
