No. Those were MediaBrowser themes, not WMC themes.

The only one I know of is that green color variation which was essentially a hack. I'm not sure whether that's worth the effort. At least as far as I'm concerned: my eyes are bleeding when I look at it

I dont expect TCL to fix it as from their side, there is nothing broken. The media plays on everything EXCEPT emby, therefore the issue is with how emby interprets whatever the TV is reporting as its capabilities. If plex and jellyfin can do it, why not emby ?

Unless I'm being a bit blind (highly possible!), I'd love a way to hide a couple of the top green navigation items without hacking it in myself. For example, in Movies I don't want the 'Trailers' item to appear for any profile and for TV I don't need the 'Upcoming' nav link. Obviously not a major issue but thought it would be a nice thing to have, perhaps allowing them to be re-ordered like the home page items but again just a nice extra,

I moved from Plex to Emby and even though I think Emby is superior in its flexibility there are some things I like better with Plex, especially in terms of its looks. This theme is trying to fix that by making it a bit more similar to Plex but with some, in my opinion, improvements. The CSS is attached to this post for anyone interested and below are some screens to show it off Good to know I only use Chrome so I can't guarantee this CSS works as expected in other browsers. If you want the sidebar menu to look like in the screens, make sure to pin the sidebar. Watched badge/banderoll is inverted which means that the badge will not be shown if media have been watched, like in Plex. Just out of curiosity, and I know it's still very early days, but will the themes that were originally created for MCE eventually be supported in this app?

Following the recent update I seemed to have lost the day/date drop down selection in the Live TV guide. This selection used to appear on the left above the channel icons, but now is just a “three line” settings icon. is there another way to jump forward to a specific date now? Sorry just can’t seem to find it. Right scrolling still works but I don’t have any idea which day I am then on. thanks

This has been bothering me for a while now. If you go onto any person's page, be it from a TV show, movie, search or anything else, you get a list of items they star in. Let's say I have a lot of Bob Ross or David Attenborough movies and shows and I want to just randomly play back something on the second screen. So I go to episodes, select See All to get all episodes they are involved in. You can play all items in order, but the shuffle button will always result in a playback error. This bug has been in Emby for ages now and is very easy to replicate - go onto any person and shuffle anything No external players are set up.

apres avoir bien galeré à tester dans tous les sens et meme reinstaller mon serveur car meme problème, le probleme vien de la dernière version 2.0.90g déployé sur android , l image se fige et y a que le son, j avais cloner l appli pour l avoir 2 fois sur la pop comme ça compte parents et compte enfants sans avoir à se deco. et le clone se met pas jour, du coup desinstall de la version 2.0.90g recup la version 2.0.83g sur apk mirror et ça marche nickel Server tester en en 4.7.13.00 et 4.7.14.00 en docker sur unraid et sur windows je viens de passer 4 jours à tout tester dans les sens... l appli emby 2.0.90g ne paus epas de problème sur les shield et les xaomi stick, xaomi stick 4k , xaomi box4k l appli emby 2.0.90g pause probleme sur les freebox pop, tv sony android, tv hisens, pas d'autres appareil sous la main pour pousser le test plus loin Problème résolu en downgradan en 2.0.83g en désinstallant 2.0.90g, install de ez explorer pour pouvoir lire une clef usb sur android et lancer l install de la apk de puis la clef, penser à désactiver la maj auto sur android pour éviter de se retrouver direct en 2.0.90g et avec le meme problème

Are there any plans for a rating system where emby users can rate their content and synchronize this ratings with one of the big providers like IMDb or something else? It would be great that those ratings are used to recommend movies from the emby database for the user. The emby recommendation system that shows similar movies or series are bad. For example. I watched Blade and emby shows me similar movies like Pinocchio, ice age and American pie. None of these movies are similar to blade

I'd also like a way to rate all of my music videos, on a scale from 1 to 10, and then be able to display that rating easily and even sort by the rating. (Plex had a 1 to 5 star rating feature)

Well I have no idea if there were any fixes, and I was sloppy and did more than one upgrade at once, but with E4K 8.2.14 + Emby 4.8.0.44 autoplay is working normally on my CoreELEC machine again.

I believe The TCL plays the streaming network formats fine, reports of plex and jellyfin all fine and the third party android players too. I would say that covers the ‘standards’ that the majority expect.

This is a very old post (I am aware.), but there wasn't any answer to the original issue, so I thought I could chime in.. OPPO (either chipset or the firmware) does not support ISO reproduction through DLNA. You can do MKV reproduction through DLNA or you can do ISO reproduction through a mounted NFS/SMB share (or USB). But ISO->DLNA->OPPO is a no-go. What you can do (if you want to use a media server like Emby) is to use a "proxy" DLNA server that mounts the share in NFS/SMB and trigger the reproduction on the OPPO, like for example Xnoppo --> https://github.com/siberian-git/Xnoppo or you can ditch Emby and use a media server that supports this SMB/NFS "bypass" like "DVR-Provider" Best would be if Emby would support this natively, since Xnoppo is a bit tricky tool and requires you to create a docker to host the Xnoppo server. But.. this would require some friendly Emby developer to support it...I feel that they are more interested in MKV (ugh..) and more into mainstream clients like Shield, TVs, AppleTV, Google... (ugh x2..), but who knows.. maybe we get lucky some day

Hello Everyone, After being a long time user of Plex, I had the dreaded playback error transcoder exited message happen out of nowhere. Decided to see what else was out there and tried jellyfin, well it was okay but very laggy and for some reason, refused to play HDR on a video file, which there was no issue with plex. I then decided to try out emby and so far have been happy overall with how it operates, especially with the UI features that came as standard and I also decided to go with premiere! Great work emby team!

If it helps: The quadro gpu i was using for hardware encoding broke and i bought a 1660ti super used to replace it and now i no longer require the entrypoint fix.

Really not sure sure why you are asking the OP to try this using the Android version @Luke- they have said it works fine already in their original post. Confirming it again is not going to change the AndroidTV App. The issue, as I've explained above - is the AndroidTV App does not like the CC stream - remove it, and it plays it fine.

I would wager that the odds of someone actually having tried this are low considering train travel for more than short commutes is rather a limited population these days. But, I think the answer is going to depend upon the reliability of your internet connection while on board. If your connection is constant and of high enough bandwidth I can't see how emby would perform differently than anywhere else.

I agree with this but I am sorry, if a company has bitten me more than once with different models I don't care how good people claim the newer version is, I can't and won't trust them especially when there are many companies out there that haven't bitten me and Seagate has left me with dead drives on more occasions than any other brand. A failure is just that, multiple failures is a trend.

That test page has the same contents for both chrome stable and beta. The checkbox has a blue border in both browsers.

When it comes to reliability you really need to look at the MODELS, NOT just the manufacture. Most all brands have good and bad models!

AFAIK Emby can't handle dual cards. You can stick with your ancient K2000, or I would recommend you upgrade to an Intel Arc A380. Sparkle has a version that does not need a power plug. The 1080 would use far too much power and would need the hacked drivers to get the most potential out of it.

Hi, I think this may be improved in the upcoming 4.8 server release.

I dont like the jellyfin interface either, and the server takes about 2 minutes to start whereas emby is seconds, the liveTV is where emby was years ago, did nto in fact work and I would have to reenact tvheadend for the recording. But I have to keep the wife happy - so she uses jellyfin on that new TV. Each server beta and android app update I rush down with everything crossed in the hope today is the day I can delete jellyfin - but alas not for a while.....

It's rolling out now alongside a plugin update fixing a recent regression. Everybody should see it within 48h max. (or the hard but instant way: uninstall the plugin, restart server, re-install the plugin, restart server).

I have the 75 inch of same TV and in the same boat. It all works fine with jellyfin. I demo the DV stuff to people on jellyfin. It’s a great TV let down bumpy emby in some way. Search forums for TCL and you will see about 4 threads I am tracking of issues going back 6 months. I believe Hisense have a similar issue. downmix to stereo makes things play at least, but need volume up to 100 on many things, including some liveTV and recordings in Australia. it’s too hard for wife, kids and grandson to get a failure, then change the playback, so that is the jellyfin TV now. For those that say just get a shield, I have a shield, but that’s not a fix. worse, my son is buying one for gaming, so anywhere jellyfin TV you less this is sorted. in summary, it’s not the TV if jellyfin works with all we throw at it, the tv pops up with DV and HDR10 and Atmos when it sees that. All works fine.

Not sure I understood your request, but maybe VirtualTV plugin might produce desired results (whatever those might be): Or simply create a Playlist with desired items and let it off.

The reason why it's not totally disabled for phones and tablets is that in both cases, there are still cases where it can work well. For example, when I connect my Samsung phone to a TV via HDMI and I connect a USB or Bluetooth keyboard, then it works fine. Similar for tablets: with a keyboard connected it works well - just not with touch.

This is why they want to make HDD with NVME interfaces to keep things cheap. I've had several Seagate drives just up and die on me. The most recent was a 12TB that just up and died at one week past the warranty date. I did recover everything off the drive thanks to the application "FastCopy" on Windows. Heat is the issue with these drives. After they throw errors flip em over upside down. So the hot side is on top and cold on bottom. Edit: You will be able to tell when the drive is dying. It will have these odd pauses where when copying it goes to 0 speed. After about 30-45 seconds it happily resumes copying your data onto the drive. But it is these hangs where copying stalls for a bit or playing things on Emby stalls for a bit. You see the playback recovery happen for no apparent reason. Time to go looking at your hard drives. Stare especially long at any drives CrystalDiskInfo shows with those yellow caution boxes. Is it better to have more "Power On Count" than it is to have "Power On Hours"? Which process of Power On kills the drive faster? Leaving you to wonder does wake from sleep age the drive faster or does constant power on. That is the question. A media drive technically shouldn't sleep, but if you have few users at certain hours, and the drives can, should they? These are hard questions to answer.

Few years ago someone told me that you need to be careful with Seagate drives and only buy models which have been manufactured in Thailand but not the ones built in China. Not sure whether that still applies - not even whether they still have both production places.
