Hello, I've been using Emby Theater premier for at least a year now and it's worked great. But today I went to open theater from the task bar and it only opens to the logo screen. I tried reinstalling it, cycling the computer, double clicking, switching monitors and no joy. I can open Emby in my browser using the icon in the notification area and I'm able to see my media and watch a video. I'm just not able to open Theater. Thank you

New RBJ version - 1.0.1.34 Added an option to 'correct' the use of line breaks in the overview field. Added an option to Tag when there is a Intro or Credit hidden marker in a TV Episode. Line Breaks Currenly, even though \n is used in the text, emby does not acknowledge this in any of the clients ... The metadata editor is the only area that shows them ... So by turning on this in the Plugin - it will replace all \n with HTML line breaks .. .. and thus all clients will have nicely formatted text as originally intended. NOTE - Currently this is ONLY applies to Movies and Episodes. I'm working on Music/Albums and Film/TV Collections - but not there yet. CAUTION - There is no UNDO - so to get the item back how it was, just Refresh the Item in Emby. TEST by 'Re-processing' an item using the Plugin. If happy, then you can re-process all items. Intro/Credit Tags This just simply adds a suitable Tag if the TV Episode has the hidden Intro or Credit markers. Unless you use the ChapterAPI Plugin or the original Introskip Plugin - there is no way to know if the Episode has markers until you hit them .. Obviously you can then sort/filter on these items. NOTE - Unless added manually by the ChapterAPI Plugin or automatically as part of the original Introskip Plugin - you may not have any Credit Markers. ------ Make a copy of the previous DLL and then replace with the attached. Clear browser cache and close any emby browser instances before reloading. Emby.MediaInfo.zip

It looks correct in the metadata editor .. but these are being ignored in the clients. We know </br> works (HTML formatting) - so why not just interpret \n as a </br> and things will start to look much better ? It is simple enough to just replace a \n with a </br> in the actual emby 'overview' entry itself - but probably better to do it at the client level. Remember that the overview only has 3-5 lines visable anyway - but on Android, Web and possibly other clients, you can click on it to get a full expansion. For Bio's and Music - I agree it looks so much better with proper line breaks and paragraph spacing ...

Yes shift-select would help, instead of clicking on a year 10 times to get, say, the 50's. But by decade would still be ideal. Maybe replace the list of years with a list of decades, each of which has a sublist for individual years...

Also, It would be cool if we have various m3u lists and have the option to choose/assign each m3u list for each user.. Example. In user settings we can choose which library to give them for VOD so this shouldnt be hard enough to do it for live tv too no? Hello devs ! Would it be possible in a future update to separate the limit between live TV and movies from the library? It would be nice to be able to have an overall limit and a separate limit for live TV. Example : Global stream limit: 2 Live TV limit: 1 Because Live TV streams are more important to limit than the rest. This feature would be very useful I think! Thank you

I have a fairly large movie collection (5k+) starting with films from the 1920's and in the absence of "smart" playlists how about a filter by decade option? Filtering by year works, but if I want to watch something from say the 1950's I have to start navigating from the 1930's and work my up to the 1950's which is quite a few number of pages. Another option might be to have Years running vertically much like the alphabet when viewing by title.

Request: Some IPTV providers may have special Event channels in which no EPG data is provided, the details are typically in the channel name but its too long to read from the guide. Instead of currently displaying no guide info, I request that it simply displays the <Channel Name>, which is the only information it has.

I am running emby in a Truenas Core Jail. I did a manual install. I have been using the Beta channel for a while. The three most recent updates have not been accessable through the web interface. The version that works is 4.8.0.39 However when I have installed 4.8.0.40, 4.8.0.41, 4.8.0.42 I can not connect. I get the "Problem loading page" message in by browser. i can however reinstall 4.8.0.39 and everything works. I do the updates as specified on https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html I am on Truenas TrueNAS-13.0-U5.3 Jail 13.2-RELEASE-p2 any ideas? Thanks

Considering getting a lifetime key for Emby Premiere. One of the big features for me is the photo uploading. Are photo uploads private to the user? I don't particularly want other server users being able to view my content. In terms of file/folder structure, does Emby just drop them in a folder you choose and leave them? Or does it build up some form of structure itself or leave behind extra metadata files? Just thinking about what it'll look like in the file browser, and also possible ways I can integrate the backup feature with other services on my server. Cheers

Esse problema acima, já aconteceu com 3 servidores diferentes, e em redes diferentes, em diferentes épocas, mas o mesmo sintoma, do nada volta a funcionar, e do nada para de funcionar ... Hoje, tenho um servidor Linux rhel 8.5, tenho 4 bibliotecas sendo, filmes (6000 filmes), séries (25000 títulos), músicas (20000 músicas) e vídeos musicais (500 vídeos); Está acontecendo o mesmo problema isso já faz mais de 6 meses .... Mesmo fazendo várias atualizações ... Hoje estou utilizando a versão 4.7.13.0. Percebi que quando eu adiciono alguns títulos na biblioteca filmes, o servidor busca os meta dados certo, mas não atualiza as imagens, as vezes fica certa de 20 a 30 títulos sem capas ... as vezes demora mais de uma semana para o servidor conseguir essas imagens ... Mas percebi, que quando eu adiciono mais títulos na biblioteca séries, o servidor atualiza as séries normalmente e dae volta a funcionar também as imagens da biblioteca filmes, como se isso destravasse algo .... já fiz esse teste aqui umas 6 vezes e funcionou pra mim ! Percebi que esse problema só começa a aparecer, quando as bibliotecas estão ficando com um tamanho maior ... em cenários com poucos arquivos de mídia, isso não ocorre ! Apenas gostaria de compartilhar esses testes e ajudar a encontrar algum possível problema; Obrigado

Just throwing in support of this idea. I regularly tell my users to add movies to their favorites if they want to remember something for later viewing. This is not ideal as it dilutes the favorites but there is currently no better option. A "want to watch later" kind of thing would be very, very useful for servers with a lot of content. My biggest complaint from users is there is way too much stuff to sift through when trying to find something to watch.

Have you tried tagging the entire show? You should be able to do that at the top level for the series. Just be sure to give it a different tag than the one used for exclusion. Then be sure to put that tag in this field (that tells VirtualTV to require this tag for that channel).

Yes, because it converts it to '\n'... Therefore, converting '\n' to the html code is just causing more conversion in that particular app - but necessary for uniformity with the others. My point was, if your source already contains '\n' new lines, then the TV app should already be respecting those.

Define 'censor' and 'ban' in this case.

Android TV should already respect '\n'. In fact, that is what it converts the html breaks to since it isn't rendering html...

Update....So far server has been working alright with no shutdowns. Auto Organize is still installed. I might try and install other plugins one by one and see if it causes issues.

All - this is not for emby to 'support' - it it for PMM to support emby Emby has great REST API support for creating and managing collections - and a few examples have been given in this thread. PMM therefore doesn't need tight integration with Emby - they should be able to simply 'import' the emby libraries via the provider ID's to get a list of what's 'available', then pipe that into the PMM 'engine' to create the collections and finally create those new collections via an emby API request. I don't believe there is anything emby need to do here .. IF those collections needed to be made into 'Channels' (as opposed to collections), THEN it would need an Emby PMM Plugin - but getting the collections into it looks to be an easy first step..

I apologize for the missing information, today I went to test for log extraction punctually but without success. Today on any browser and PC, playback is back to work, everything works normally. The problem still occurred yesterday. I haven't changed anything, not even a server/host restart which I had already done in various attempts. If it happens again I'll be ready for the logs, I'm sorry for the inconvenience but currently the anomaly doesn't show up despite having been present for weeks and therefore I can't give myself an explanation. I have the same issue with ET electron on Linux. Looking at Josh's logs, is it because somehow Github now redirects "https://api.github.com/repos/MediaBrowser/Emby.Theater.Windows/releases" to "https://api.github.com/repositories/8238771/releases" ? No idea if Github did this in the past. Should prolly implement a mechanism to make the app not 100% reliant on that get request (if it's the actual problem). EDIT: Prolly not the issue as josh said re-installing fixed the issue somehow.

Just happened to me as well. Had been watching ET all day while working. Closed it to go have dinner at 6:01pm PST, came back at 8:11p and it would not launch. Renamed folder as suggested by TheShanMan and reinstalled and it's working again here too. Attached are the related log files. FYI - I'm just working on getting Audio Metadata and added tags into the Plugin .. I'm making it a seperate tab entirelly - but the idea is to extract suitable tags (FLAC-24Bit-96Khz) etc - so you can use to filter audio tracks by Tag. I'm also playing with using some of this info to auto-complete the 'overview' field on the 'album' layer - as any form of MediaInfo for Audio seems to be absent .. so you can see the 'album' is FLAC-24-96 for example - this will just be scraped from the Album folder name - as per Lidarr's renaming framework. I don't think there is much point doing it at a track layer as it won't be shown and all tracks within the 'album' are usually the same codec/bitrate etc. Let me have any ideas on Audio/Music - as it's an area I haven't really used emby for in the past. It could do things like tag 'low quality' MP3's for example if the bitrate is below a certain level.

They never gave us a reason. Back when it happened there was a lot of belief in the industry that Amazon would pull any app that appeared to have features that would compete with features in Amazon branded apps. So for example the download feature. But we don’t know if that’s what it was or not because they respond to all communication attempts with generic prewritten answers. Anyway there might be some good news here as some users on Amazon tablets are reporting that the Emby app is available to them again.

There is are three options when I press on delete within a tv show. Cancel, delete last played episode and delete series. I would love it when there will be a fourth option called delete all watched episodes. Mostly I watch a few episodes and than delete them at once. Emby is not delete friendly because everytime I have deleted the last played episode I end up back in the TV shows overview instead of the the TV show I was deleting from. That is very annoying so rather that will be solved or the option delete all watched episodes will be added. Both options would be the best option because I think it is a bug ending up in the TV show overview after deleting an episode. Thanks.
