Haha, my fault. I did not remember i added "zeros for random" at some time. But you have to enter 0 and 0, not 0 and 1. A sort option by index can easily be added. I'm not sure what you mean by "repeat once the seasons are finished"? If you mean repeat after watching all episodes, then of course you have to manually mark the whole show as unwatched under the "VirtualTV user account". But it's not a bad idea, maybe i can add some automatism for that.2 points

TheTVDB now supports more alternative orders than just Aired/Absolute/DVD. Can Emby query these additional orders and add them as options? Two examples of shows I've seen this used are Re:Zero which has a "Director's Cut" display order and Money Heist which has a "Netflix" order. https://thetvdb.com/series/re-zero-starting-life-in-another-world https://thetvdb.com/series/la-casa-de-papel1 point

I'd really like to have 2 Factor Authentication added to the login screen. It's just this (optional) extra layer of security to help secure the server (which, especially if people use camera uploads) contains pretty private data. There are for every type of programming language quite a few libraries available, so implementation on a server shouldn't be too hard to realise1 point

因为网络原因,我无法直接访问到 元数据 的服务器,Auto Organize之类的插件因此失效,希望能给元数据搜刮提供 HTTP/SOCKS 代理功能。 谢谢 embyserver.txt1 point

I believe I've mentioned this before in some thread, but I think it would be really great to have an audio only, headless client for Raspberry Pi. I have several Pi's running the Emby Theater image, but only being used for audio in a whole house audio setup. One Pi per zone. Emby Theater has a lot of unnecessary overhead for this application, and it's quite prone to crashing. I manually restart them almost daily to make them reappear on the device list.1 point

You can't do it in Emby, as the information is in the file itself. Use MKVToolNix to remux the file with the correct language descriptor, or (if it's already in MKV format) use jMkvPropEdit to change the flag in the file directly. Paul1 point

Well I own and use two Rokus, a Fire TV, a Shield TV and a HTPC. The HTPC almost never gets used anymore and my Rokus are used more than the other two combined. 1st I would strongly recommend against a "Smart" TV. Having engines like Fire TV or Roku built in is not, in my opinion, a good idea but "smart" TVs are often cheaper that the not so smart alternatives so it is sometimes a better idea to buy a smart TV than a dumb one but do not let which "smart" engine is built in have much impact on selection as other "boxes" can be easily connected to most TVs and thereby avoid the built in features if needed. As far as which device is "best" goes: That is a very personal selection. I prefer my Rokus quite a bit but the real differences are now quite small. I first used a set top box way back before the Roku N1000 was introduced in 2008 but the boxes i used before my Rokus have all become non-supported and, mostly, totally unused. I also bought, and keep up to date, a Fire TV stick and it is the second most used device i own. My Shield TV box is rarely used even though it cost the most. I do not really like the Shield's interface but I will say that to my old eyes the Shield's picture is a little bit "better" but not even close to being enough "better" to get me to use it. I think it has been over a year since i used my HTPC to watch anything. It is just too clumsy to use for me to even want to use and everything I watch works on at least two of my other devices. I actually have only one person I know well that uses anything other than a Roku and that is a Fire Stick as she hates wires so the stick will plug directly into her TV. (There are also Roku sticks but the wireless connection on the Roku sticks seems to be less reliable) My bottom line recommendation is to run a Roku ultra with whatever TV you like. But, if the Roku's picture is not good enough then get a Shield TV for the picture quality. The Fire TV is actually between the other two. One more thing there are a few apps that are not available in the Roku universe, like CH-DVR, and, if you really need any of those apps, you either need a second device or you need to get something like a Fire TV exclusively and use it for everything. Currently Rokus and Fire TVs are fairly cheap and having both is not much of a problem for most people. The selection of a TV and set top box is a very personal thing and you cannot be sure until you actually use one in your home. Be sure that wherever you buy from allows pretty easy returns. just in case.1 point

Hi, I think there is a problem with 8.2.10, using Emby server 4.7.13.0. I'm running Kodi 20.2 on an AndroidTV. I started to watch a show, pause it around 20 min from the beginning. After I power OFF the TV. went back later on and start back Kodi and resume the show then! When finish the show (till the end), on Kodi the show still in the status being in the middle and not mark has Watched! Checking on my server emby and it is mark has watched. So it looks like not updating the status after the show has been watched, is it because I paused it before and power off the TV without quitting kodi first? I may have to do some more test. But surely something did not work has expected! Before you ask, here is the log file : https://paste.kodi.tv/eniwedefir Thanks, Joel1 point

The systemctl command shows that emby-server is active (running), so it is at least starting up. Can you access the web page with http://localhost:8096? The first screen seems to show a database problem. What do the Emby logs show?1 point

Hi, good news. With the next update to Emby for macOS, you will be able to run natively on m1 macs without the Rosetta translation layer.1 point

Add an option in the Intro/Credit Skip plugin to manually place a start & stop point for skipping recaps on the previous episodes. I have alot of tv shows where the intro has been detected but there can be 1-2 minutes of recap before getting to the Intro skip option/button being displayed.1 point

Well, the use case is that album artist IMO should be the primary artist sorting method. I never click artists in a music library. I automatically default it to album artist. Here's an example of why this current method is an issue. I want to play the songs by album artist then all their albums. How did Eurythmics get added to this list?1 point

I was not quite sure where to put this question and I couldn't really find anything that answered it straight forward so I figured this would be the best spot. I am not sure how the Skip Intro feature works as in the logic for finding the intro but it is the best thing since sliced bread! It would be great if it could skip the Previously On before the Intro as well, I mean lets be honest, I am binge watching series xyz and I am already on season 2 Episode 4, I already know what happened in the previous episodes I have been watching for 8 hours!1 point
