Since we can now detect end credits, or manually add them in other cases, it would be nice to see this, rather than an automatic percentage/time remaining, trigger the "next episode" popup and decide whether an episode is resumable or not. Even better if it could expand to movies for the latter point.

this is critical - and where i have fallen down at least twice. you must have the stock plugin installed but you must disable the movies and episodes checkboxes in the plugin config. you must then have cinema intros enabled in the user profile under playback

Hello, is it possible to implement in Emby Quick Connect option like in Jellyfin or other apps for smart tv's? Sometimes it's difficult to put long passwords on some devices. Regards.

I remoted in with @user101xy. I was able to SSH in and then sudo -i I found: /volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/emby-server which is a placeholder for /usr/local/AppCentral/emby-server That seemed to include everything but the programdata Which I believe is supposed to be mapped to /home/emby /volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/emby-server /usr/local/AppCentral/emby-server There is no /home/emby I searched the whole system for different files like library.db, system.xml as well as logs that would be under programdata and couldn't find anything. I also was not able to find any install logs on the NAS that show anything to do with installs. I tried installing the release and the beta a few times while removing /volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/emby-server I could find no emby user or group but did find an area in the GUI you can assign a user to like a group. Anyone have any ideas? @alucryd

Kenn mich mit Deinem NAS gar nicht aus, aber hast Du schon mal versucht dich via SSH auf das Gerät zu verbinden? Vielleicht, findest Du den Ordner ja in einem Bereich, der über die GUI nicht zugänglich ist. Zumindest auf meiner Syno ist das so.

Vielleicht solltest Du es mal im Asustor Forum versuchen. Hast Du denn folgendes schon versucht: 1. Neuinstallation? (Nehme an ja.) 2. Auf Deinem NAS die Firewall Einstellungen geprüft? 3. Kannst Du Dich auf die Web Oberfläche verbinden? 4. Läuft der Server auf Deinem NAS auch wirklich oder ist er evtl. gecrashed? 5. Ansonsten, kann ich Dir nur noch folgenden Tip für Deine Fehlermeldung geben: Zieh die Serverlogs, dass ist nämlich das erste, was die Jungs die sich richtig auskennen brauchen.

Al final lo he encontrado. para los que tengan Arch Linux o una derivada..yo uso Manjaro Plasma. Se encuentra en /var/lib/ aqui vereis un archivo (enlace directo o enlace simbolico) que apunta a la ruta privada de la carpeta "private" solo accesible con privilegios de administrador. con lo que he accedido con la terminal y he podido editar el archivo. Pasos a seguir por si hay alguien nuevo en linux o estas distros. Primero hay que apagar el Emby-Server Estando en la ruta /var/lib y teniendo la carpeta private (con un candado) abre una terminal. Escribe " sudo su ", sin las comillas para tener privilegios de administrador y escribe tu contraseña. luego escribe ls y enter ( te saldra un listado con todas las carpeta y archivos que se encuentren. Veras uno que se llama private escribe cd private y accederas a la carpeta private escribe ls y veras las carpetas que tiene dentro escribe cd emby y accederás a la carpeta emby ( que esta dentro de la carpeta private ) escribes ls para listar los archivos y carpetas..y veras uno que se llama system.xml este archivo hay que editarlo. Yo use el editor nano escribes nano system.xml y acederas al archivo. ahi ya buscas lo que pone en el enlace que ha puesto el compañero de arriba. Una vez hecho todo encendeis de nuevo el emby server con systemctl start emby-server y actualizáis todos los metadatos

well the android tv app supports end credit display if the data is fed about when the credits start. currently its possible to do it manually using chapterapi plugins but it would be so much easier if its done automatically like the intro skip function....... I dont know why you lose interest in doing the plugin. I think it s a cool feature you have already done it in the introskip plugin and works fine and accurate for most shows. I think a lot of ppl would find this helpful especially for shows which has long end credits while binge watching.

To be honest, I don't understand the concept. Neither did when I came to know the virtual tv plugin initially nor now. Why show things in a timeline which aren't bound to that time line in any way? You scroll through a channel and then you say, "ok, now I will watch a video what would be broadcast on this channel in the afternoon of the day after tomorrow, if it would be a real tv channel. But since it's not a real tv channel all the shown time values are completely irrelevant because I can watch it whenever I want anyway.. My brain cannot compute this, but I acknowledge that it is liked by many. Yet I'm wondering whether it's essentially the time line ordering that matters for people or whether it's rather about the layout and presentation why people like it.

You need to enable video transcoding for these formats of subtitles.

I'm pretty sure that turning off these options will prevent the subs from being extracted - even for DirectPlay Enable Video Playback Transcoding: False Enable Audio Playback Transcoding: False

If you open the download settings screen in the app and then move to another screen, does that help the downloads get started?
